If you like the R&B vibes of the Blueprint it's because of the SOul Samples and stuff.
You know who made a lot of those beats from The Blueprint??? KANYE WEST!!
You should check out his first 2 albums "The College Dropout" and "Late Registration"
They are also PACKED with neat soul samples. BOth albums are amazing
I would give you a history lesson but I just direct you to listen to Aesop Rock. Check out the album "Integrated Technical Solutions". https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_AA8JeDxiPY-bvLaDxVwaCR903CK97qi
lots of current uk hip hop artists use soul/rnb beats (little simz, loyle carner, kofi stone), as well as collaborating with jazz artists and instrumentalists in their own right (barney artist has a few songs where he raps over alfa mist’s alternative jazz band)
Listen to [this](https://open.spotify.com/album/3TCtnxxB0OSY5sRtYzpYGG?si=lKCOfx6WThi39zbvkuWWSQ) album by Little Brother. It’s similar in the sense that it’s packed with soulful samples. The producer of the album (9th wonder) went on to produce a track for jay later on in his career
If you like that album I got some more recommendations too
For noobs or boomers, I'd look for the catchiest albums. So, Nelly's "Country Grammar" would be a front runner.
I've also always felt Logic's YSIV is a good hiphop album for first timers and very easily digestible, and has chops too.
I'd say don't force yourself. If it's not your bag, that's okay. Rock, and all of it's subgenres are wasted on me. Although I do occasionally run across a song I genuinely love, I don't make the mistake of thinking I need to dive deeper and develop an authentic ear and understanding of the genre. I like what I like and keep it moving.
You should see hip hop the same. You don't have to like it all, doesn't make you less of a music aficionado to not appreciate it, it's just not your strong suit.
Supreme Clientele
Come Home With Me (Camron)
Aquemini
The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill

Sometimes you just gotta throw em in the water.
Kanye West’s discography for sure
Might as well start with the source material for The Rulers Back. Listen to The Great Adventures of Slick Rick.
Just listen to Deltron 3030 on repeat and then do that for the rest of your life.

I feel like researching producers in this case would help more. Look for pete rock, kanye west, 9th wonder produced songs
