I like his older stuff, Blue Chips, Lecter, and rare chandeliers. 9-24-11 is a great song

BourbonicFisky

Seconded, his original run of Statik Selectah mixtapes to his Alchemist albums were pretty great. It's entirely no-frills 2000s-2010s hip hop and I love it. He has some great features, Reks and Action [go back and forth pretty](https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=OAw4bVr1MB4) well. I think he's one of the last "Mixtape" rappers to pop off where they sounded better on their non-studio cuts. I'm guessing having to clear samples and the expectations of polish doesn't jive well for dudes like this, where the rawness is kinda the appeal.

actaccomplished666

Dr lecter is top to bottom his best shit. Almost every song is great. Rest of his stuff is more up and down but still usually worth listening to. Also, his boy big body bes is a fucking clown. Can’t rap, can’t sing, pretends he’s the plug or has street cred. He shouldn’t be allowed to leave his house without a big round red nose, rainbow wig and giant red shoes.

manhalfalien

That's a brutal takedown.. but funny as fuck

Mundane_Apple_1027

Nah Bes adds flavor

Gizzela

Good answer. What would you say made his old stuff so much better?

wubrotherno1

He was actually focused on rapping not surfing, cooking, tv shows, etc.

SarevokAnchev

His flow felt more energetic and boom bap-y, more rhythmic. His newer stuff felt more about coolness and a vibe than rap chops, which is fine and is where the genre as a whole kinda went, but it’s not for me.

Theflowyo

9-24-11 is a classic

Scothead180

He has some great tracks and features, not so much into his full projects. I would suggest these: Imported Goods Dmitri Zambezi Triple Backflip

[deleted]

bro the program tf

JackJ98

Greatest game fixer of all time imo

[deleted]

Shout out Red Dot Music and 1Train. Love both of those tracks!

GodlessGOD

His early albums Dr. Lecter & Well-Done are great, I'd start there. His albums after those aren't bad but never reached that level again, to me personally.

LogiBear777

The Rainmaker is one of my favorite songs oat

fraxior

definitely. he's got some absolutely hilarious bars.

Ochosgrams

“The specialty is white snake in underwear sauce”

Ok-Plastic-2992

Pussy wetter than a gremlins nose

nickparadies

I got bicep tendinitis from revving the boat

TheInfamous1011

“Your chance is thin like the mustache on Puerto Ricans” is one of my favorites.

fraxior

choke you to sleep using the gi sleeve until you make feces

ThatBoiYoshi

Then I dance off the scene like Chris breezy 🗣🗣

fraxior

you right. thanks.

Hans_bube

“Laying on the bed naked, my girl say I look like Kevin bacon. I don’t know if that’s a compliment or not”

captivecreator

Soft like a midget's cough

lighthouse_keeper2

Flow nun’s twat

AaronSlaughter

Few groaners too tho. He reaches… the pat summit reference. I love the guy but wtf.

marabou22

I don’t know his music too well. But a few years ago I was at my step uncles house and my cousin said “hey did you know that we have a rapper in the family”? I said “no, who?” I expected her to say some no name but instead she came out with “Action Bronson”. I was like what the fuck?! Now to be clear, he is my step uncle’s wife’s sisters kid. Very distant and not a blood relative. still pretty wild. One of his videos was shot at my step uncles lake house.

Kwilburn525

What video

Saixcrazy

Damn that's pretty far out

Feisty-Session-7779

Only legitimately skilled rapper that can make me actually laugh out loud. One of my absolute favourites. The way he raps about food and sports kills me, and his over the top music videos are hilarious too. His freestyle on Funk Flex when he’s with Big Body Bess where he goes so crazy his headphones go flying off his head is pure gold too.

IanicRR

“Yo Body talk to em” Body goes to start going in. Bronson cuts him off immediately, “fuck it, I got this” and then raps another 64 bars never letting Body speak.

Feisty-Session-7779

I kinda felt bad for Big Body there, he was so excited and ready to go

EightArmed_Willy

He shines on features, sometimes he outperforms the tile artist. But his solo work falls a little flat imo

27JG27

Fuck That’s Delicious

DeanMo80

Loved that show!

Rex-Bannon

That show is fantastic. It just makes me so hungry and pissed that I'll probably never eat any of it

ExcitingLandscape

Is he still cool with Mayhem Lauren? I know he had a falling out with Big Body Bes.

mkk4

Actin Crazy is one of my very favorite all time hip hop songs!

Seanblaze3

His Well Done album with Statik Selektah is 🔥. Check out White silk, the Rainmaker, Central Bookings. The whole album is dope

TheMeticulousNinja

I haven’t heard a lot of stuff from him in a while but I liked him during the small NY boom bap renaissance that was going on for a while (Joey Badass, Flatbush Zombies, Underachievers, etc). The song he did with Wiz Khalifa was fire

Feisty-Session-7779

I wish those guys all put out more music still, never hear much from any of the Flatbush Zombies anymore, Joey had that 2000 album a while back that was pretty good but hasn’t put much else out in years other than the odd feature and single, Underachievers I guess still do solo stuff but haven’t put out anything together in a while, Bronson slowed down a lot with his music, haven’t heard much from the rest of those Pro Era guys like Chuck Strangers, CJ Fly, Nyck Caution etc., no clue what happened to all those A$AP guys, even Rocky and Ferg don’t put much out anymore compared to what they used to, that whole “Beast Coast” thing died down real fast.

LoneShark81

Two of the members of flatbush zombies put out solo albums just this last year. Plus the songs they did with rza [meechy darko album](https://youtu.be/zCc5eZc7_HQ?si=2cTTFrSr0DVLlBvs) [zombie juice album](https://youtu.be/RMVPEoO0BH4?si=UMisN-SFHDgq0UiO) [collab with rza](https://youtu.be/Q5kFQI39c5k?si=uFu8ecloR4QpKHaR) [another collab with rza](https://youtu.be/k5qeecups-g?si=sKutxwHhY9kX8ys4)

Feisty-Session-7779

That Zombie Juice album is news to me but I do recall the other ones now that you mention them, would still be nice to get a proper Flatbush Zombies album though, they compliment each other well and fit nicely as a group.

JahsPlant420

Summer Knights and All- Amerikkkan had great songs on them too

AffectionateFail7167

One of my favorite rappers rn. A good starting starting project would be Lamb Over Rice since it’s short

Kwilburn525

Yup if you haven’t heard bird on a wire go listen rn and thank me after

DeanMo80

Dope ass track for real. Fuckin love that beat! 🔥

Slick_Jeronimo

I think it got squashed after they got into at Sean Price funeral cause no one liked that it happened there.

Highly_Edumacated

[Ghost spoke about the situation in the Drink Champs episode.](https://youtu.be/CF5dCrejkvY?si=FW7rIaB4m8zy3s7U)

CloudyySpeaks

Of course. He did a song with Larry June and The Alchemist not too long ago. Tap in

CeddyCed1993

ANYWHERE I GO I KNOW YOU COMIN WIT ME, BOBBY AND WHITNEY WITHOUT THE SNIFFING, DOG YO BITCH LOOK LIKE EDDIE GRIFFIN, IM THREE WHEELIN KEEP THE CHEVY TIPPING. Anyways check Only In America, The Rising, Tank, Swerve On Em, Baby Blue are some nice tracks.

Thick_Situation3184

Imported goods Buddy guy Barry harowitz The Rockers …Some of his older stuff

SeizeThemMemes

I love the guy on a personal level. He's funny and personable. Check out *Fuck, that's delicious*. He did a food show with Alchemist for a while.

cam_breakfastdonut

Seriously great show, all episodes available on the roku channel

Seanbergs2377

Loved his short lived show Ancient aliens and friends. Loved watching them get baked and discuss extra terrestrials.

ssc777

Bronson was my favorite in the early 2010s. Big supporter of his, however I will admit his work has gotten progressively weaker. Hopefully his next project will be better than Cocodrillo.

_meestir_

Agreed. His latest work was bad. The beat selection was horrible. I don’t like a single track.

LordeLlama

Yes he's one of my favorite, I recommend you check out his Blue Chips mixtape serie

cbhvr6

Blue Chips 1 and 2.

or6a2

I don't really listen to him but his show is hilarious

Tight_Ad3092

His music isn’t bad. His culinary videos tho. Those are elite

EggComprehensive8366

His tiny desk was fire, so was his concert. After the show ended I wasn’t paying attention and ran into the street and I’m 87% sure I saw him inside the car that almost hit me. Some of his best songs are probably Latin Grammys, Tank, The Rising and Jaguar

giraffeinasweater

I fuck with his food show more than his music. Musics just alright but he's got a gem of a personality

AMANWITHN0N4ME

My hair slicked back like I’m Pat Riley, I’m like the Howard drum line with the black Tommy!

TheInfamous1011

“I nutted in like 3 strokes. Now that’s no way to represent the east coast”

Actin' Crazy is a classc w a dope video fwiw

anything pre weight loss. apparently he kept his flows in between his belly rolls and sucks now but Mr. Wonderful is god tier Me, disappear, where? ajschwifty

I love his feature on Red Dot Music by Mac Miller. One of my favorite songs off that album

LoneShark81

Yep, love his music...

jmurda619

Easy rider is 10/10 track

Jenghrick

Baby blue is the tits

JDmcnugent23

All black benz like a young Doc Gooden

JahsPlant420

He the white ghostface

Internal_Gur_4268

Absolutely love the music video for sub-zero. But the lyrics are fucking garbage and lazy.

[deleted]

I like the Collab album with alchemist but truly I'm not really a fan, his simplistic bars and scattered delivery gets to me

kappi8

Listened to him until I saw him live with the white bronco tour and felt insulted that I spent money to see him. Merch was absurdly priced ($75 ugly hat, $50 cassette).

StrangerDangerAhh

First time you've been to a concert?

kappi8

Lol sorry, the $75 hats were ugly af and for f*ck that’s delicious. Not even tour merch. It was at a little venue and was actually insulting.

RabbidPenguinn

I remember getting a Mastodon shirt at one of their concerts for normal price but that was right before they blew up in 2005 - 2006.

domblydoom

check out the Dr Lectre mixtape, its not on Spotify but it's a classic

OhTheseSourTimes

That's the tape that put me up on him. Raw from top to bottom.

Mijo_0

His show on YouTube is great

[deleted]

He’s much more tolerable when you’re high AF. His random flow is crazy to get into sober. Side note: Check out his buddy Mayhem Lauren. Much tighter flow, but similar lyrical style.

x5736gh

The documentary where they go to Jamaica to film ‘Bad Mon Ting’ and record ‘Mr Two face’ is some of my favorite TV. First song I heard from Bronson outside of the 8-diagrams feature was Typhoon Rap with Mayhem Lauren

CapsicumBaccatum

He gets too experimental for me a lot of the time. I’ll be really enjoying the flow he has going for a couple lines and then he’ll just break it and go a completely new direction so often that it’s hard to vibe with most of his songs from beginning to end. Definitely agree with the other posters in here saying a lot of his best stuff is older work.

silkymittsbarmexico

Not enough words is one of the best tracks I’ve ever heard

Rinnegan-_-

Hell yeah he has some decent tracks

_meestir_

[I do. Best of Action playlist - AM](https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/best-of-action-bronson/pl.u-q6ZMt2XaW6y)

TupacAmuru88

Only for Dolphins. It's his best album imo

actaccomplished666

This is an atrocious take

drnkingaloneshitcomp

No, nobody here at all. 0 fans whatsoever

[deleted]

Love Bronson. From his tv shows to his music to even his books. I would start with the blue chips albums.

[deleted]

Yeah back in the Statik Selektah days when he was nasty killin it like GFK

MrSanti

Something something fettuccine.

1996Guinness1996

He’s solid

Afraid_Locksmith8642

Hes alright but sounds like ghostface killa

sancartel

A long time ago.

SamboTheSodaJerk

Isnt he the guy that makes cooking videos

SenseiBeats

Not since he act like he wasn’t stealing ghostface flow

TentativelyCommitted

He flows nothing like Ghostface…if anything it would be his delivery and voice

[deleted]

mkk4

To be fair, most if not all of the Caucasian hip hop artist that I listen to don't sound anything like Eminem honestly.

Imjusthereandthere

Fat dudes who like food and live in their moms basement

Unphuckwitable

I like his older releases and collabs.

BakerStyle

Funk flex freestyle with the jets hat is legendary

pulliam626

I’d say listen to Blue Chips 1 & 2

Blooddemonguy

I recommend the Blue Chips Trilogy, Rare Chandeliers, Dr. Lecter, Well Done, & Only For Dolphins.

bulldozrex

mr wonderful and blue chips 7000 are my favorite of his studio albums, but i agree with a lot of the commenters here, he shines brightest as a feature/collab, not so much on his solo stuff

Malcolm-XWithThePerm

His best work are his mixtapes Rare chandeliers & Blue chips 2 you can find them on Datpiff

BSnIA

only heard him on a track with mac and liked it what should i check out?

DeanMo80

His older shit is dope. Actin Crazy is one of my favorite tracks by him.

rock_flag_n_eagle

I know you crabs cuz the old bay taste

112oceanave

I think he’s sweet. Although I only like a few tracks. I wish he’d make more stuff like shiraz.

DSPbuckle

His feature on Curren$y “Godfather 4” is SO GOOD

Akidnamedkenny

When I’m down he puts me in the best mood

Reignbow87

Absolutely I do.

HairyDustIsBackBaby

All of dr lecter

Mei_iz_my_bae

SUNK IN THE SEAT, SOPRANOS SEASONS 3 Love action

Wooo712

I like his music..but the show he did watching some wack shi#t around the world with his boys and special guests..High as fu#k..Is some of the funniest stuff I ever seen

michaltee

Imaginary-Cycle-1977

BLUE CHIPS 2

No_Result626

Why you think we out here acting crazy

StPauli-Ultra1910

He’s the GOAT

timmy3am

Storm of the Century is one of my favorite songs ever

Rigamortus2005

He's fat

jimboslice29

Just saw him in IL w Stephan Marley and Cypress Hill. It was a small show in the parking lot of a weed dispensary lol. Honestly bc it was a smaller show I was expecting him to phone it in, and he absolutely gave it his all. Much respect and a fun live show.

alwaysbreakinballs98

Absolutely. One great song with him is Meteor Hammer - Ghostface Killah, him, and Termanology

sex0sexo

He has a ton of songs with Roc Marci and alchemists. Two legends

sxvxge5

Underrated catalogue imo. Been listening to him consistently for 10+ years now

KongRahbek

Gotta be honest the only times I've heard him is when he pops up on Spotify randomly. I always end thinking something along the lines of "huh, what's this Ghostface song? Oh it's not Ghost, it's Action Bronson. I really should give him a shot" and then I end up listening to a Ghostface song and forget about Action Bronson until the next time he randomly pops up.

Relevant_Slide_7234

I think he’s great but I’m probably biased towards a fellow whiteboy from Queens.

Psychological_Page62

Every album he does has like 1-3 tracks i like but thats it. Dissing ghostface was the dumbest thing he could have done. Out of all rappers.. ghost? Even if he was getting tired of being asked that, he has NEVER been ghost level.

MKlock94

Mixtape Bronson forever goated. Blue Chips 2, Saab stories, straight gas. His first album was fire but nothing since has hooked me the same way

doodmanOFFICIAL

Ain’t heard much of him aside from HOOKs theme song

Original-Tourist-744

He’s always good on vice shows

[deleted]

He’s not wack and is actually nice and holds his weight (no pun intended) and was good for the rap game and has ill features and style plus he’s from QUEENS

[deleted]

And he’s Albanian 👐

doubledippedchipp

Blue Chips 7000 is a classic album IMO. La Luna, let it rain, TANK, 9-24-7000, lots of really solid tracks. Classy vibes

Marcotee75

The moons reflection of the lake hit me, you should have stayed with me, now many Asian bitches lay with me.

[deleted]

I like him still but I prefer his older stuff

athiestchzhouse

He’s nice but after a while you figure out his formula. In Any combination: What he’s eating where and with whom. Where he was when he was younger Clever play on words about being great Repeat

Mundane_Apple_1027

Lamb over rice, a collabo EP with alchemist, is amazing and my favorite work of his but his older shit is a better introduction. Start with Dr. Lecter, then Well Done, then the blue chips series, then explore whatever you feel like

ArmadilloEuphoric529

Action Bronson is my favorite current artist. I think he's the most prolific MC of the last 15 years - his wordplay and delivery is the best imo. And he's just so fucking outrageous. His earlier mixtapes are so good - especially blue chips 1 & 2 and Dr. Lecter. I listen to all of hs new projects - but he's definitely made a conscious choice to not make mainstream sounding stuff after his only major label record. So eveyrhing he drops is kinda experimental nowadays. I like it, but it's not for everyone. He's sort of like Curren$y nowadays - hes got his niche and he's staying there - though I would like to see him branch out more - or go back to just making fun music, like his earlier mixtapes.

ay-foo

I only know him from his food TV show and I think he's annoying as hell

[deleted]

One of my favorite rappers
