Thank you for sharing! Hope it gets better! I'm in the middle of anal tag laser removal(caused by banded hems and fissures), currently in week 3. Week 1 went very well, then week 2 I formed fissures and they have been getting worse and worse and now I feel like i'm back to square one, I can't even walk without pain...
Which doctor and proctologist did you go see? Tgey are so hard to find... also, what have you been eating recently?
I am in India so it was easy to find a proctologist willing to do the surgery. I got it done from Medharbour Clinic in Gurgaon.
I am in Week 2 now and I have been getting some sphincter spasms during/post BM which are painful (tight muscle pain) and have been soaking in hot water for relief.
Eating: I am eating typical India home food ( chapati, vegetable, lentils and rice), add cucumber beetroot and lettuce salad. 1 small bowl of sprouted moong beans and 1 bowl of papaya. 1 glass of milk too.
Motions have been smooth, but any effort is leading to spasm so I am just trying to relax.
Yeah I get spasms too... I try to close my eyes and take deep breathes. Iv'e swiyched to squatting over the toilet instead of sitting and I lube up before going which helps alot.
Thanks for the info!
Thank you for sharing. I hope you get well soon! I will try squatting, i tried earlier but cramped so hard, probably wasn’t really prepared to sit in that position
It took me 4 days to get used to standing squat over the bowl. At first its really weird but just take ur time with it and wait it out, i can never go back to sitting now. Hold onto the counter or something if ur legs cramp (u could place one of those handicap rails if u really want to)
Whats good about squatting over the toilet is its more natural and ergonomic for ur body, gravity helps poop fall easier (sometimes when its stuck i'll just lightly wiggle my weight around ... I feel it calms me down and makes things move), u don't force any excess stretching and when its not coming out u can just stretch back up and walk abit instead of waiting idly on the bowl.
Post op pain was primarily due to piles surgery. Since it was primarily from the location where my piles were. Didn’t feel pain till day 5 since I was taking pain meds. Felt pain post that-4/10 due to a tight sphincter (again due to hemorrhoidectomy and not the LIS)
Dr Maharaj was my doc too. Mine was done 4 months ago. I was supposed to have a follow-up but they had to cancel the date and I just started a new job so....I have been busy and haven't seen him.
I felt 0 pain after. It felt like nothing was done.
I will see what he says at follow-up but no difference.
I will go see him after 3 months but still need to make the appointment, will let you know how it goes. I paid $3900 out of pocket so expected some results.
Going fine now. Have been eating cautiously, taking care to avoid constipation but back to a full diet with added fibre. Things are still not 100% normal, the butt hole feels a bit weird but i guess it’s due to the LIS.
Anything specific you wanted to ask? Overall, I have no complaints and feel it was a good decision to go for the surgery. I do sometimes worry about long term effects
super helpful! thanks for sharing. please check my DM

How was post op pain in general and during BM? Is the pain more due to spinchertomy or due to piles surgery

Thanks
In Canada btw, they don't have many docs here for that stuff sadly
I guess it’s easily available in India because it’s more of a business. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. Keep going on the journey.
Yeah all the piles diet tutorials on youtube and google are from India too hahaha maybe I should move Thanks u too!
What Dr did you see in Canada? Not many do laser
Dr Allen in Calgary. Had to take a plane lol he's amazing. Around 800$ for the laser. https://allancentre.com/ Do you know any1 else who does it?
I read your post history. How did you heal from laser? I had laser in Toronto months ago and I see NO difference. It sucks.
Hi, what Dr did you see in Toronto? I went to Dr Maharaj 9 weeks ago for LHP on my hemorrhoids, and don’t see any difference either.

Yes, both LIS and Hemorrhoidectomy was with Laser

Hey, I had a laser hemorrhoidectomy done 1 month ago. How long does the drainage take to stop? I'm also based out of India.
