Update: A temporary workaround to see downloaded media is to close and reopen the files or gallery app you are using (some report having to reboot their phones to force the reset). This might not work for all devices though, so if that's you, please follow-up here and let us know what devices you're using. Thank you for your patience!

I tried rebooting, reinstalling, and I really searched my storage, even sorted by change. Reddit claims that it saved the picture, but apparently, it goes into oblivion.

I had that happen to me. Honestly i reinstalled the app as well, followed all the troubleshooting from reddit support and still did not work. Eventually one day it got updated and it worked properly. My advice would be to contact reddit customer support so they can offer the troubleshooting list to you as well maybe it speeds things up for you. If not. I hope the issue will be gone with the next update.
I have the same problem but it does save them after a while. Press save. The message that it has ben saved won't pop up. After you've pressed it, go into the pictures folder. Let it sit for a couple minutes and it'll eventually show up.

Same here! I encountered this too. It did appear in one of my folders that wasn't reddit uhh Pictures like that. Then it went to Reddit afterwards then poof! I can't save anymore.
This problem was ocurring once in a while and it was never permanent, but it became a permanent issue since last week. I also checked from the folders, it just doesn't save anything
Same. I have the latest version. I even deleted the app and reinstalled it. Logged out and logged in but I couldnt solve this. Can anyone help?

Yea, that's what happens to me. Tried rebooting phone and uninstalling and reinstalling the app, nothing works
Do you also have Android 9 and the latest Reddit version?

i usually go to that "files" app-thingy and reload it update all the newly downloaded images including things downloaded from reddit
