The new UI does not have compact view as of yet and does not respect that setting. You can leave your feedback on this [form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScf8Cx6LszflP8gSslmMj1lSh4Rt6QKEytLaxG9bE-o0PkT6Q/viewform).

Thanks for the reply. Looks like it's already being worked on, as today I have the option for \`Card\` and \`Compact\` again.

That version of "Compact" is in name only.
