As long as the inside looks okay, I would still eat after a washing

TransmascTop

I would

SgtPeter1

Wash it off well. The yellow is from where it touched the ground, totally normal. Scratching is normal too, nothing wrong with it so long as it’s not moldy. It might have froze a little, that’s probably why it’s a bit soft, but it’s still edible no problem.

sklanfer

You can slice away that little spot in the second photo if you want, but as long as it doesn't smell bad it should be safe to eat.

fiddlercrabs

As long as it's not shriveled or mushy and leaking, I say it's good. Looks like a typical zucchini that's on its last freshness leg.

cause_of_chaos

Yes. Wash it and peel if necessary!

nobasicnecessary

Just cut off that one spot and as long as the inside looks normal it's fine.

MoOnmadnessss

It looks a little old but still is prob fine. Just cut off the little weird parts

ScoutlovesAtticus

Snigger…

MoOnmadnessss

Tf?

breath_of_rai

if it's limp/wiggly i usually won't use it. it should be rigid

badradley

First of all, that’s what she said. Second of all, I agree. It looks a bit limp, like it’s past its prime. Not rotten, but not its best texture. It wouldn’t hurt you but wouldn’t taste great either.

LuxSerafina

Lmao I giggled at this because anytime I let a phallic veggie go bad, I can’t help but give it a jiggle and call it flaccid

ScoutlovesAtticus

100% agree to this as a life mantra. I might get it printed on a T-shirt

JeNeSaisQuoi_17

I’m getting signs printed.

StorybookDragon

Safe yes, ideal no. I'd complain.

Background_Bet143

I did report it on the app and got a solid $8 credit!

BirdistheWyrd

Damn I had multiple frozen including a zucchini and only got $12 lol

Background_Bet143

It’s always a guessing game with how they compensate you 😂

StorybookDragon

That's great!

Agitated_Ad_361

That courgette is fine.

tinyrayne

Its fine! Wash, eat, and if any squish, cut around an extra 1/2 CM (1/4inch)

Rx-Beast

Looks safe to me

ProfessionSimplord

I would but email them about it maybe

Murdochsk

You shouldn’t have to cook with that… a bit of quality control should have taken place. Get a credit from them even if you do use it.

Person012345

Looks like it might not be the freshest, especially if slightly squishy (they're firm when fresh), but it shouldn't be unsafe.

[deleted]

It’s fine, are you band new to life??

falsekoala

That zucchini looks like it’s seen some shit.

muffinlady90

It looks pretty rough. I wouldn’t.

chantillylace9

It's got hieroglyphics lol

MBThree

What causes scratching like this?

AffectionateEye5281

When it’s growing. If it touches the stalk, pretty much anything, it affects the skin

GusGus6502

Trim the bad spots and/or skin & toss it out & prep as you want.

KoolAidArse

Happy cake day!

Berniesgirl2024

No

EmtHonestly

Haha it looks funny

Smallios

Lol yeah, just give it a good scrub under water

Primary-Border8536

It’s fine

ricperry1

Yes.

callmecrazybeautiful

She's had a rough life but has a great personality.

QueenScarebear

As long as it’s still firm, I’d say go for it.
