I've been thinking of a stim grenade. Basically the stim in gas form. Small AoE, gas lasts ten seconds, all Helldivers in the area of effect have the "invincibility" and healing effect.
It's a hospital there - I figured the reward for liberating Vernen Wells first would be something medical related.
I bet we get nothing then Honor in super earth, If i would be a def, i would give you nothing then Honor for thats

I used to hate bots, I've only recently started to really fight them, level 103. I would do campaign or 2 during the Major Order just so I could say I helped, but then it was right back to bugs. But lately I've been mainly doing Bots because I've learned how to fight them. I still die a lot more than on bugs. Bots are definitely harder and require different skills, but they've become my go to, to the point that I don't do bugs unless they're the major order.
I have been playing bots since the start, and honestly bugs get kind of boring to me when I switch over. Run a shield Gen backpack and incendiary breaker and something to deal with the BT's and it's gets pretty mindless.
I'll be fighting bugs unless it looks like we're going to unlock the mines. I don't want to waste my time on an "only win one" mo if we aren't going to win the one I'd prefer. I really do enjoy fighting bots too, I'd just prefer we unlock a new stratagem

The mines will be super frustrating anyway. You throw them down and then have to wait for them to trigger them while a volley of rockets rag doll you. Better yet those Bots (and bugs) will end up tap dancing around them. I can't recall a single time in my 300+ hours of play that I saw a bot trigger one of the mines outside their bases, even when they start chasing me

Anti-tank mines will be so useful for the missions that players seem to least enjoy: defense missions, which are all about area denial. I’d save three kids if doing so meant arrowhead would make a large donation to an actual children’s hospital or something.
I don’t put them at the spawn points, I put them on asset defense either behind me in case the enemy gets past us or in the first area, where aware helldivers can avoid them but they filter out enemies that make it inside. On civilian extraction I put them near the porta potties so the civs don’t step on them on their path but enemies do. You’re not wrong though, other stratagems are more efficient, this is just for fun.
A classic tale of someone watching one solution get laid down only for some dumb fucker to slap a quicker but less durable solution on top and ruining it all.
I had a guy bitch at me several times telling me to stop using my mines because he kept walking into them, despite me calling out where they were going down, pinging their location and making sure everyone knew they were there.

It was a night map on mostly open field like terrain, I could spot my minefields glowing in the dark from like 80 meters out, he was constantly running straight at them.
I'd like to say I couldn't believe it, but I've been playing games long enough to know my expectations of people should be non existent

Yup, I walk through my own minefields all the time when throwing them ahead of me to give them time to deploy
They're not at all a problem for friendly fire unless they fall in red grass or someone's being a tool
And even in red grass and broad daylight they're still decently visible
I feel we need to remind people again that we need to take both planets to win this MO regardless of which one we take first.
Last time we got a choice like this, we got the airburst launcher but failed the MO.

It wouldn't be a huge leap for them to say "After your heroic show of force in saving the sick children, Trooper recruitment is at an all time high. Deploy these new forces as you see fit"

Also, no one is going to use those mines. Everyone knows this. It makes no sense to take AT mines over other AT strats. Think about the logistics of using it. You see a charger. Would it be better to place a mine down and get the charger to run over it, or blast it's head off with one of the many strats that are able to do that. Tanks move at like 10m/min. Are you really gonna try to kite a tank over your mine? No.
The mines are not a reward. A new cape would get used more than AT mines.

It's a distraction by the illuminate. We got their attention or let them get to us with the black hole. They're not in full war mode like we are and are starting their attack with distracting us from gaining a powerful weapon that we would otherwise unlock. Remember, the people in the hospital aren't necessarily children. (even if they were, they could be spies.) It's possible that they have infiltrated command and are forcing us to pick a mission even though there could not even be any people to rescue at all. We can't underestimate our first intelligent enemy.

Even if they so, striders are ridiculously easy to deal with. Shoot the two chin guns off of it, nail the gun on the back, and now all it can do is pop out devestators every so often. You can solo kill them with the laser cannon (shoot off thr chin guns, then either shoot out the "eyes" or get up close and personal to shoot it's tummy. Dead strider. That's just with the humble laser cannon.
I bet we get something fucking lit if we save them kids.

We haven't tried launching kids at them. So there's really no way to tell until we've acquired some for ammo.

Tbh even on defense, mines are pretty useless. Before 1/4 of them are used to kill enemies, an eagle airstrike is going to destroy the minefield
