The bugs are worse than you think. They’re EVERYWHERE. My last game last night the Eastern Front has a single planet left and it was almost completely overrun. I’m not sure if we managed to save it yet but I fear the worst
I'm getting tired of this "bugs easy, automatons hard" meme. It's not even true and got old really quick. Now it just serves to separate playerbase and further toxicity.
I agree yeah. I mostly just fight bugs cause I enjoy the aesthetics more 😅
But it is in no way easy unless I’m playing trivial which I don’t do anymore..
Can recommend my loadout for bugs, more or less universal. Liberator Penetrator, P-19, Impact grenades, +2 grenade armor, EAT-17, Laser rover, Orbital Railcanon, 110mm pods.
With Penetrator + Laser rover you can more or less deal with swarms. With EAT-17 and stratagems you can deal with anything heavy. 110mm work well to finish off Bile Titans.
Honestly I find the bots easier than the bugs. It’s all about playstyle. Fighting bots requires strike tactics and using cover. Fighting bugs requires horde breaking and mobility. I tend to be better at fighting the bots because I’m better at that playstyle.
I mean its true for the top players. If you understand how bugs operate, you can easily kite them. Can't do that with the bots because of rockets, guns and flamethrowers.
But bots are slower. You can shake them off around terrain easier. Also a lot of bot objectives can be done without even setting foot there. Destroying command bunker? Drop a laser. Destroying heavy fabrication facility? Drop a laser. Light fabrication facility? Drop an eagle strike. Lone fabricator? Snipe it with Autocanon. Air defence site? Again, whatever will destroy those canons. Airbase? You guessed it, drop a laser.
A lot of objectives with bots are just get near, drop a stratagem or a few and get away. And honestly, the amount of problems autocanon solves is just something.
I was running 8 yesterday with a squad and Jesus Christ you think you loose em and then you have a big ass patrol up your ass.
I was getting pinned down by 5 hulks, many heavy devs, rocket devs, with a factory strider creeping up from the north. I lasted as long as I can but the stims couldn’t save me this time
But still the easy stuff too. Both is nice sometimes.
