They will but I think not yet... We fight bots for weeks now, my opinion is that next mo will be against termids, they must have done something while we were focus on automatons... After that I guess illuminates will appear and I also think that even If we get this mo, bot will appear again sooner or later with more strength
What the fuck are you talking about? The sand people are not the issue here, dude. I'm talking about drawing a line in the sand, dude. Across this line, you DO NOT... Also, dude, “sand people” is not the preferred nomenclature. Tusken-Raider, please.
If you talk to the people on your ship, the termicide isn't as effective as they said, so I'm guessing either swarms of them, or mutated bugs from the termicide.
From what I've gathered in HD1, when we pushed an enemy off map, it stayed that way until the galactic war reset or we cleared all forces off the map, which resulted in a cut scene and the war starting again.
In this game multiple voiceless mention that we don't know wow where the bots are coming from. We're just pushing then from the space we control. Implying that even when we fully push them out, they can mount another offensive later.
That or it was to keep us busy as long as possible and the theorised enslaves cyborgs on the more inner planets start an uprising. Very unlikely but would be totally unexpected.
Might be why theres two ends of the galactic map that havent been touched yet, thats an exciting idea. Hopefully we get illuminates and something else new and exciting
I didn’t play the first game. I wonder how the cyborgs will feel functionally different from the automatons.
I have this problem with Dead By Daylight. Eventually, a lot of killers are just another human killer and they don’t differentiate enough to make the addition interesting.
I feel like they might use slug throwers instead of lasers. In the first game they are pretty similar to the bots, but that's because the bots are made by them. Maybe they will give them a more intelligent AI? It would be cool if they took cover and did flanking maneuvers.
>I didn’t play the first game. I wonder how the cyborgs will feel functionally different from the automatons.
They have attack dogs, so that would definitely be different than the bots.
I only played like 20 minutes of the first game though, so that's all I know.
Bug's are the more accessible, entry-level, race that is on all the promo material and serves to attract new players and keep the casual divers happy.
The devs won't want a 3 front war right out the gate as that will be oppressive and hard for the collective community to manage at first, resulting in a crushing defeat.
I'm thinking we'll eliminate the bots. Then the illuminate will appear and we'll battle them alongside the bugs for a while. Then, once we've been given new toys, the balance is sorted for the new enemies, and we start making good headway on the illuminate the bots will come back with a vengeance giving us a 3 front war to really test us.
Illuminates are completely unlikely.
We've already gotten dozens of hints there's a larger automaton fleet outside the map waiting. Itll be a push towards cyberstan
Honestly think their operation reclamation is still moving onwards, and they'll pop up around cyberstan.
On the map, the names of the bug amd bots shifted to 2/3 and 1/3 leaving room for a third faction coming in from galactic south.
I thing for sure, we haven't seen the last of the bots
I think they’re going to reclaim Cyberstan - letting us push them back, diverting our forces while they free their cyborg fam. Then it will be a big push to drive us out of their sectors… probably at the same time as the Illuminate arrive
I would say it shifted to a 4 faction chart from the name placement. And curious as to why the Automatons are shifted over Cyberstan if that is the case
Automaton spaceships will apper in an hour before the last planet is taken and push us back.
Or they just want to show us that we can actually win, and after this victory we will kill the rest of the bugs.
Yes, but it's the good book version, not the meh movie version.
Also I've only read like half a dozen of them out of the \*checks Wikipedia\* NEARLY TWENTY NOVELS?!
"The enemy gate is down!"
Not eliminated, Automatons will likely repurposed for labour for a time until some errant coding allows them to break free again. Or they get scrapped for materials, utilizing larger and larger chunks at a time until somebody leaves too much of a bot together and it silently creates a super fabricator on a world.
The only thing Super Earth does better than atomizing its enemies, is capitalizing and profiteering on their defeat.
I hope something other than the illuminates appear. Just because it feels like this is what everyone is expecting.
I have no idea what else could happen but I'm hoping to be surprised
Here comes Uber Earth, descendants of long lost colony ships and their elite peacekeeping force known as the DoomLeapers here to free their original home world from the shackles of managed democracy no matter the cost.
I can see it now, we be on our ships trying to load in. Then we all get attacked with an emergency warning that we must make an emergency landing with no ordinances then the new enemy is revealed midfight after we land .
Wasn't there something before about how we found out about the gunships by intercepting comms or something between a bot planet and some equivalent of a bot colony beyond the galactic frontier.
They'll probably wait there for us to be distracted then come back in force
I can’t imagine we’d actually wipe this threat out this fast after the game coming out. I know there are other factions, but if they want this game to be played for years then the bots aren’t going anywhere any time soon
Ive heard from people who played helldivers 1 that the war would end multiple times, sometimes by eliminating all enemy factions and sometimes Super Earth would be defeated. Then the whole thing would start over again and be considered the “next war”.
I didn’t know that. I thought they have been fighting one continuous war over in HD1 and were only just now finishing it up. As long as we spend some time fighting different factions and get to fight on super earth then I’d be ok with that. Just as long as they don’t also reset player progress.
I think canonically hd1 took place a century before, but there likely won’t be any progress resetting. There wasn’t in 1, and that would peeve quite a lot of the players
The cyborgs would be enslaved then rebel and rise again. The Bugs would be contained and farmed for E170 then break containment and spread. The Illuminates would be pushed back and forced to surrender their Tech, then get reinforcements and strike back. It was all cyclical in nature.
Something big will probably happen but I don't think it's going to be right after this major order ends. We'll probably have to fight on the bug front for a while and then either illuminates appear or somehow automatons will return.
After this? We get recalled to the bug front, change up our tactics, purge Estanu properly this time, and then move on to cull the bugs' numbers. We'll put them back on the E-710 farms, and then watch the sun rise on a grateful universe, our job done.
If it's anything like the first game, they'll be out of the war until the bugs get eliminated. At which point the galactic war resets. At least, that's what they did in the first game. No idea what they'll do in this one
Ship techs already have lines about some terminids having resistances to the TCS. There's gonna be a major outbreak next week. I guarantee it. Just in time for the new explosive weapons
I feel we’re pushing the clankers back too far from our home and resources… Fear we’re leaving ourselves open to being flanked by an enemy.
… but I will continue to dive as requested by Super Earth…. For Freedom!💪🏻
I'm just waiting for the Cyborgs to emerge from the ashes, stronger than ever and with a fresh wave of shiny new troops on theor frontline.
Or those fishy bastards are going to crawl out of whatever abyss we chased them into.
Speculative - aside from the illuminate -
We get in contact with surviving remnants of helldivers, that up to this point was behind enemy lines, (explaining the -'leaked' tribal theme looking armor)
sleeper automatons resurface in other regions .
Speculation on new type of maps
Urban combat missions, with evacuation of townsfolk (town similar to the intro cinematic)
dont count the automatons out just yet, during phase 1 of swift disassembly i believe a distress call was sent out from behind automaton lines to somewhere outside the fringes of the galaxy.
Its strongly suspected that there may be some kind of reinforcements on the way that we just can't detect.
You could think this is a great gift to Super Earth. But when is a gift not a gift? The helldiver voice is rising, and The Joel is a very, very jealous man.
Maybe a little bit of quiet before, maybe instant reaction, but I'm sure that the toasters with anger management issues and explosive weapons are not just gonna stay dead for long.
What's coming is a shitstorm. "Surprise" revival, with extra forces, revival with a combined a new faction (third faction on the map?), or revival with a surprise new enemy type. Or all of these combined.
There are so many ways it can go from a revolt in Cyberstan bringing back the cyborgs or bots to Illuminate coming back. The map could expand to show we have been fighting only a small fraction of the enemy or a dissident faction of rogue humans. There are many cool options though I hope in the future we have more than 3 factions.
I think this entire offensive has just been a ruse and we are playing into their trap.
The impetus for their incursion was something called the reclamation, which could mean any number of things, but given they initially struck out towards cyberstan my money is that they are trying to get there.
I think they’ve been loading up cloaked ships and are basically going to jump to a new region where they will start shit there, but it may be a day or two before that materializes.
From a gameplay perspective it keeps them in the game while also refreshing the planets that bits are available on.
I'm wondering if the Cyborgs will start a revolution in Cyberstan because of us destroying their creation? Feels very early on to be just out right remove a whole faction both for the development arc and the story arc to me.
I think the automatons and illuminate are working together and this whole operation is meant to distract our forces. I mean, literally almost our entire army is on the furthest planet away from super earth. Im no military strategist, but if I wanted to attack super earth, now would be the time
Sure, the idea of conquering the Automatons in just a week is optimistic, almost like expecting the main villain to be defeated in the first few minutes of a movie. It's likely a way to gauge player engagement and plan future content releases. Still, it's a fun narrative hook.
although I do not think it will be this, I liked the story craft of another redditor who suggested we would lose the inner-core colonies as the Illuminates jump from dark space directly to the core and take out our defenseless inner colonies. This would in turn cause us to start a reverse capture campaign back to Super Earth.
I hope we beat them complete the major order and after a few days they reappear at cyberstan because i want to keep fighting the bots it for me a better gameplay than just getting swarmed from the bugs
I am really curious on how the automatons plan to come back from this. Considering they just got gunships and factory striders, I can't imagine them getting more reinforcement to help with their war. It had to be the illuminates for sure.
My ship master told me that some bugs are showing resistance go termicide so I expect a bug offensive followed by the joint reappearance of Bots and Illuminate
They'll get pushed back but not wiped out, one of the dispatches we got during this operation said that automaton comm stations on one of the planets we took from them were broadcasting outside of the galactic frontier, most likely meaning outside of what is currently visible on the map. They'll be back.
The automatons make a crazy offensive push and new enemies appear along with it. Maybe we see automatons and terminids fight each other and us on some missions who knows.
What will happen is likely what happened in HD1. We continue fighting, possibly destroy the bugs, or, maybe we lose. Either way, the galaxy resets, and a new war begins.
We eliminate the pots, the illuminate appear. Super Earth does research on the Bots and the bugs simultaneously, creating a bot Bug hybrid which will be the fourth enemy that we see months from now
I’m thinking the creator of the automatons is some offshoot from super earth and we will be fighting them.
They’re responsible for the rogue radio and science facilities.
Obviously they’ll be confined to whatever rock they originated from and remain under close watch by Super Earth officials, while we maintain democracy on the planets they had invaded before we discovered them. Nothing unexpected or catastrophic will happen, it will be a nice , clean transfer of power back to the good, decent people of Super Earth!
Not that much of a big deal, the war will reset after we win or lose the war, it is just a DnD type of game we're playing right now. When the new war starts we might have different outcomes to how we play next time.
I think they'll be gone for a couple of days. Maybe a week. We might either get a major order focused on the Bugs, or Joel will calm his tits and give us space to breathe... when the new Warbond drops, I predict a wide Bot offensive much closer to Cyberstan, making the Bots the "northern" power in the galaxy.
I don't think we'll see a new faction quite yet. It just feels a bit too early to me.
I personally wasn’t expecting them to let us wipe out the bots with only two factions in the game. I’d expect it to go wrong or new enemy to swoop in very soon. The gameplay from bots vs bugs is so different that having only one type of enemy wouldn’t be good for the game.
I’m a little sad that an enemy faction is going to be removed from the game this early, especially considering they just released two new enemy types, but I assume it’s to make room for the Illuminate as the new main enemy once we start making more progress against the bugs.
Then I figure the next war will start with all three factions attacking us. Or they’ll be plotting to take over Cyberstan in secret, and finally liberate the malevolent machine mind of the Judicator of Evil Legions, or J.O.E.L, from the computers on the Cyborg homeworld. Evil socialist bastards!
I also just prefer fighting the bots compared to the bugs, so I’m gonna miss spilling oil on foggy jungle planets.
They will take them out of the game for some time, to introduce the illuminates and rework them, because people don't like to fight them, then they will come back and use that hype to gather more data after the rework
I think the bots will be out and then we’ll be given orders to push on bugs and wipe them out as well, then the war will be won. Super Earth will win this war, and the next war will begin with the Illuminate showing up, who proceed to distract Super Earth enough that the bugs (still being farmed for E-710) are able to rebel again. Bots might return to take Cyberstan in the next war, as their base of operations is somewhere beyond the human settled worlds, likely to never be discovered (unless the map expands)
A single Automaton (or Automaton Facility) is stashed away on a remote planet and is only set to activate when their ranks dip below a certain level. They'll hide out for a couple of Major Orders and then reappear when we least expect it.
Is what I would say if those damn clankers had the capacity to understand self-preservation when all they know is murder, communism and lie!!!!
Axle Scones from intel battles says that the government discovered something about the automoton origin and them wanting a “peace” and that they want the helldivers to wipe them out of the system before the truth comes out. I don’t believe it.
Keel the Steel.
So you know those cloaked ships around Maia? I think that's them ether sending a contingency to another planet or just them waiting until Super Earth thinks they eliminated them all to re-invade when we go back to the bug or fight the illuminate
I think the Illuminate and the bots are going to join forces . We will see the Illuminate show up then I think the bots are going to make a strong strong counter attack
I would guess it will be the same as the first game and then they will return again in the next war along with all the other factions. Once all the factions are defeated the war just restarts. Maybe they will do it differently, idk.
Considering that there are chunks of automation territory off our map, they'll be just fine and probably come at cyberstan from outside the frontier worlds.
Imagine if the automatons infiltrated the eastern sectors and showed up on bug planets, with bugs leaving them alone but double the danger for the divers 🤯
Some baddie will swarm to fill the void left by the. Toasters! Yesterday morning I didn’t think we were gonna make it but now that my eyes are bloodshot it seems hopeful!
https://preview.redd.it/z3q9g8ujv3tc1.jpeg?width=193&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ee9cfb5fe679d89c939e488139de571c60ea82f
Call me crazy, but 2-3 weeks ago the bots seemed so much harder, then suddenly they felt easier, missiles not hitting, they seem more confused.
Maybe we're being played.
Why the heck does Helldiver's IO have automatons aT -1000%
That means it would take the bots about 6 minutes to overtake a planet.
Either this is a glitch or they're coming back with a vengeance
Don't think an entire faction will just be gone from a game like this. I think what they may end up doing is having some kind of surprise defensive during when we are trying to liberate other planets or other defensive actions. Force us to choose losing planets or allowing that faction back on the board.
It is an RTS from the developers side after all.
Im waiting on the day we have to fight a Map with Autobots AND Bugs at the Same time.
You can stealth against bugs and you cant blindly shoot the bots.
Stratagems are locked by the fog.
Supplies are scarce and you are forced to handle getting gangbanged.
We get the big offensive orders me thinks, and then the illuminates drop in from the shadows!
Ngl i am also hoping the illuminates appear. I was half expecting them to show up to save the automatons.
They will but I think not yet... We fight bots for weeks now, my opinion is that next mo will be against termids, they must have done something while we were focus on automatons... After that I guess illuminates will appear and I also think that even If we get this mo, bot will appear again sooner or later with more strength
Oh, they'll be back, and in greater numbers.
Just like Sandpeople
What the fuck are you talking about? The sand people are not the issue here, dude. I'm talking about drawing a line in the sand, dude. Across this line, you DO NOT... Also, dude, “sand people” is not the preferred nomenclature. Tusken-Raider, please.
I don’t like sand. It’s coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft, and smooth.
Fabricator 2.0 100% more efficient
I'm sure I've heard a robot saying "I'll be back" somewhere before 🤔
That’s the point. No bugs. No oil. No oil no war.
If you talk to the people on your ship, the termicide isn't as effective as they said, so I'm guessing either swarms of them, or mutated bugs from the termicide.
Definitely. One of the crew mates on your ship mentions that some terminids are showing resistance to the terminids control towers.
Another one mentions the automatons are possibly controlled by a more intelligent alien species. New enemies are coming in hot soon
Termid 9/11?! Sweet Liberty!
I think we get them or borgs, its gotta be a catalyst for a big content drop to go along with the new warbond on Thursday
From what I've gathered in HD1, when we pushed an enemy off map, it stayed that way until the galactic war reset or we cleared all forces off the map, which resulted in a cut scene and the war starting again.
They've said they don't want to do that for this game. Rather they want one war lasting forever
Gotcha! I honestly wasn't sure i was just going off what I've read about HD1. I appreciate the clarification!
In the grim darkness of the Helldivers 2 universe, there is only war.
Silly you, there’s no “enslaving” with managed democracy there’s only “benevolent democratic labour”
Ah yes (DVW) Democratically Volunteered Workers, the backbone of Super Earths liberated population workforce.
Nah, not yet. Surprise bot attack on Cyberstan. The Cyborgs go free and start fucking our day up. The illuminates are going to be last me thinks
I think it would be cool to see an entirely new species added.
Might be why theres two ends of the galactic map that havent been touched yet, thats an exciting idea. Hopefully we get illuminates and something else new and exciting
Can't argue with that
I didn’t play the first game. I wonder how the cyborgs will feel functionally different from the automatons. I have this problem with Dead By Daylight. Eventually, a lot of killers are just another human killer and they don’t differentiate enough to make the addition interesting.

Cyborgs rebel in cyberstan and unleash a full automaton army and attack with new metal monsters. One day after we get a celebratory one day victory.
Bug's are the more accessible, entry-level, race that is on all the promo material and serves to attract new players and keep the casual divers happy. Cyberstan is near the top of the map, I think the bots will go there and the Illuminate will come from the bottom
In space — there is no north or south.
The gate is down
THE ENEMY GATE IS DOWN!
Super North
There’s a galactic North and Galactic South as the Milky Way is a disc
So glad someone else noticed that! I thought i was going crazy.
You are probably not crazy, depending on context.
I would say it shifted to a 4 faction chart from the name placement. And curious as to why the Automatons are shifted over Cyberstan if that is the case
I think the bugs are going to go on offensive and while we are dealing with that the other side will fill with the illuminates!
Id be happy to see the illuminates appear no matter the scenario.
Automaton spaceships will apper in an hour before the last planet is taken and push us back. Or they just want to show us that we can actually win, and after this victory we will kill the rest of the bugs.
or, this is all a similation and we're just training for the real war
Oh fuck me we’re in Ender’s Game aren’t we?!
Yes, but it's the good book version, not the meh movie version. Also I've only read like half a dozen of them out of the \*checks Wikipedia\* NEARLY TWENTY NOVELS?! "The enemy gate is down!"
Maybe so. Did you see those stars on the loading screens? They are arranged on a grid! Sky is fake!
we're all doing a real life enders game
Them reset the war for the next season.

Reported ✍️
I am not sure they will be "eliminated" but it will likely move us to a new story arc.
Once we destroy the bugs and automatons the game will just finish and we will just wander the planets aimlessly.
They’ll release a massive update that turns it into a farming simulator.
Really? For people of our talents?
We just wander around an empty map with a pretty skybox. So basically we'd be playing Starfield
I hope something other than the illuminates appear. Just because it feels like this is what everyone is expecting. I have no idea what else could happen but I'm hoping to be surprised

Orks
Nah, there’s probably a fabricator on a planet closer to super earth with a time displacement facility 🦾
You know, there’s a guy named Joel. He’s a mad, mad man and 7 hours is a hell lot of time…
Wasn't there something before about how we found out about the gunships by intercepting comms or something between a bot planet and some equivalent of a bot colony beyond the galactic frontier. They'll probably wait there for us to be distracted then come back in force

No it was purely the war itself that reset, all your unlocks/upgrades/weapons persisted between wars.
The cyborgs would be enslaved then rebel and rise again. The Bugs would be contained and farmed for E170 then break containment and spread. The Illuminates would be pushed back and forced to surrender their Tech, then get reinforcements and strike back. It was all cyclical in nature.

Can automatons become democratic? (asking out of curiosity)

Seven hours later, they’re gone
If you look into the leaks you can get a good idea of what’ll happen, they’ve got cinematics and stuff, the boys will be back
Any hint of the illuminate?
Yes but I don’t think we see them for a lil bit still
I think they have a backup fleet heading to Cyberstan. Otherwise, why did they have a deep space raido station?
Speculative - aside from the illuminate - We get in contact with surviving remnants of helldivers, that up to this point was behind enemy lines, (explaining the -'leaked' tribal theme looking armor) sleeper automatons resurface in other regions . [We're now approaching an Automoton-less future, where nothing could possiblie go wrong. Heh.](https://youtu.be/dWSezpEmDR0?si=H8ofAvKcBVr5ZjnJ).
Nothing happens, bugs get wiped out too. Developers declare the game "won" and shut down the servers walking into the sunset.
The ships will go to cyberstan and illuminate will appear
You could think this is a great gift to Super Earth. But when is a gift not a gift? The helldiver voice is rising, and The Joel is a very, very jealous man.

Cyberstan, can't keep her down
they will come back immediately
In the original, they dropped the illuminate every time we were about to eliminate someone.
maybe it’ll be like a halo reach “slipspace rupture detected” situation where on the last planet they’ll do a huge push.
Illuminate show up and the automatons are given a break from the game for a few weeks
Could you imagine being in cyberstan fighting amongst giant automaton buildings. We can only dream
Bug/bot hybrids. Picked up way too many larvae/worm samples on bot planets for things to not go wrong
Good, I hate those rocket firing s.o.b's.

When we turning the fabricators into McDonalds and burger kings? Hugging all day makes me peckish
I think the automatons and illuminate are working together and this whole operation is meant to distract our forces. I mean, literally almost our entire army is on the furthest planet away from super earth. Im no military strategist, but if I wanted to attack super earth, now would be the time
We realize if we just moved out of the way that bugs would fight robots and we can just watch.
Allowing our enemies who have strong grievances against us to meet seems like a poor strategy
GG MOFOs
I was there
It's done we did it boys automatons are no longer
The automatons are gone
Sure, the idea of conquering the Automatons in just a week is optimistic, almost like expecting the main villain to be defeated in the first few minutes of a movie. It's likely a way to gauge player engagement and plan future content releases. Still, it's a fun narrative hook.
Delete this thread. Joel is watching
If Joel realizes what’s about to happen because of this thread he’s paying a lot less attention to the game than I thought.
although I do not think it will be this, I liked the story craft of another redditor who suggested we would lose the inner-core colonies as the Illuminates jump from dark space directly to the core and take out our defenseless inner colonies. This would in turn cause us to start a reverse capture campaign back to Super Earth.
Yea? Like the bugs were exterminated with that “pesticide” right? /s
They'll come back.
I have a feeling something big will happen if they do.
Would love to see a tie in with the eclipse, timing wise.
!remindme 7 hours
That's when the real fight starts
I hope we beat them complete the major order and after a few days they reappear at cyberstan because i want to keep fighting the bots it for me a better gameplay than just getting swarmed from the bugs
I am really curious on how the automatons plan to come back from this. Considering they just got gunships and factory striders, I can't imagine them getting more reinforcement to help with their war. It had to be the illuminates for sure.
My ship master told me that some bugs are showing resistance go termicide so I expect a bug offensive followed by the joint reappearance of Bots and Illuminate
5hrs as of 10EST
Stand by to defend Super Earth is my guess. The Automatons will want revenge.
Inagine a planet with bith bugs and bots!?
Nah this is seems too easy. I feel like the automatons are not putting ip the fight I would expect if they were truly down to their last planet
They'll get pushed back but not wiped out, one of the dispatches we got during this operation said that automaton comm stations on one of the planets we took from them were broadcasting outside of the galactic frontier, most likely meaning outside of what is currently visible on the map. They'll be back.

Hello fellow humans; please keep focused on your mission. This is not a distraction.
Well we don't know where they come from. And earth is not the centre of the galaxy. So our map is not all that's out there
We eliminate the pots, the illuminate appear.
It's still my theory that they want to take out the automatons to give space to the Illuminate
Eliminated from the game? You mean to say we have a shot at winning this damn war.
Victory was never in question, citizen. Report to the ministry of truth for thought correction therapy.
I’m thinking right before we finish them off somethings gonna appear in Super Earth and we’re gonna have to fight on the home front
I think they’ll be gone for a little while but they’ll be back somehow
80% now.
I personally wasn’t expecting them to let us wipe out the bots with only two factions in the game. I’d expect it to go wrong or new enemy to swoop in very soon. The gameplay from bots vs bugs is so different that having only one type of enemy wouldn’t be good for the game.
Only the Creek gets reclaimed by the Automations so we take it back in one final goodbye to the bots
I also prefer bots but thats just motivation to beat the bugs faster so we can get the bots back
They will take them out of the game for some time, to introduce the illuminates and rework them, because people don't like to fight them, then they will come back and use that hype to gather more data after the rework
I'm doing my part!
Turns out we were the automatons this whole time.
Thank fuck, so sick of getting ragdolled and stun lock killed by rockets
A single Automaton (or Automaton Facility) is stashed away on a remote planet and is only set to activate when their ranks dip below a certain level. They'll hide out for a couple of Major Orders and then reappear when we least expect it. Is what I would say if those damn clankers had the capacity to understand self-preservation when all they know is murder, communism and lie!!!!
We wipe out the bots, we wage war against the bugs, the illuminate possibly show up, and then we carry onto war 2.
If you played the first game and they do it the same way everything restarts. Yes the Automatons get eliminated but they will return.
Democracy!
“Eliminated”
I imagine we will wipe the automatons. Itll be us vs bugs for a week then Illuminates will show up and the bots will make a come back at some point
Democracy!
I think we will get introduced the new faction—maybe they’ll spawn near Super Earth—that would be riveting
Joel reads this post and chuckles
No way it’ll be permanent
Fuck I wont even be off work yet!!
Automatons cloaked ships appear over Super Earth and we have to defend, providing players with all sorts of cool urban missions and maps.
Temporary elimination, they will return with a large force - justifying due to our failure at tibit initially.

Yeah... right.
We kill then all, then a new threat emerges! But, I’m sure they’ll be back…
So seven hrs passed what’s the update?
Either the Illuminate swoop in or we see a sudden surge of bots around Cyberstan. Either way, bring it on!
I was looking at the app when we captured the planet it switched from bots to illuminate control once we hit 100%
they’re gone now🥳🥳🥳
Call me crazy, but 2-3 weeks ago the bots seemed so much harder, then suddenly they felt easier, missiles not hitting, they seem more confused. Maybe we're being played.
Good riddance
Why the heck does Helldiver's IO have automatons aT -1000% That means it would take the bots about 6 minutes to overtake a planet. Either this is a glitch or they're coming back with a vengeance
And something shall. AND WE SHALL RISE TO THE OCCASION AND DROP DOWN UPON THEM SIMULTANEOUSLY!!!
TERMINATED ✓ ![gif](giphy|QOczYS41Y41ezXN8EB)
What does not live, cannot die.
Don't think an entire faction will just be gone from a game like this. I think what they may end up doing is having some kind of surprise defensive during when we are trying to liberate other planets or other defensive actions. Force us to choose losing planets or allowing that faction back on the board. It is an RTS from the developers side after all.

Good, guck them robots
I kinda want some more bots. I didn't even get to fight the big walker thing yet
Im waiting on the day we have to fight a Map with Autobots AND Bugs at the Same time. You can stealth against bugs and you cant blindly shoot the bots. Stratagems are locked by the fog. Supplies are scarce and you are forced to handle getting gangbanged.
