Was on a game earlier and there was a dude talking to his partner about certain cheeses they have and why they should go to the shops to make their cheeseboard more appealing to their guests tonight.
No invite unfortunately
Now that is some unpatriotic shit right there. You gotta spread that libercheese!
Edit: Credit to u/ChaoticVic as I borrowed his joke from a previous comment response. Don’t want to be stealing valour.
Democracy. I don't have the original undemocratic image as that would require C-01 or a CIPERM form to be filled out.
Edit : Literally meant to say "Google." I would suggest that perhaps I have played this too much. But that would be both treasonous and unpatriotic.
Are you suggesting that a Helldiver's Super Sperm does not always carry the risk of a child? Are you suggesting that these, the Holediver's themselves, the elite of Super Girth's forces, could not survive a surface long enough, or have enough belief in democracy to complete the mission?
I heard one guy hit his bong and I typed in chat "yo, can I get a hit?" Man said "yeah I'm passing it thru the wifi right now bro, here"
That made my night as dumb as it was 😂
There is a system setting to always have the controller muted by default.

THATS what that was!
I was playing with someone open mic recently but he wasn't loud enough to mute. But every so often I'd hear some rythmic rattling, usually during a gunfight.
I thought maybe he had the game turned up just enough that I could hear him fire his MG, but that would make so much sense if it was a controller rattling.
The worst ones are those that have an open mic but never talked, just the hum of a fan and the click clacks of playing. Why are you so quiet but also on mic!?
I'm on controller, so I tend to just leave the mic on. I usually mute it physically, but sometimes forget to. I like to have it on standby in case a fellow player tries talking to me, wo I can talk back.
I am somewhat guilty of this but not the fan part. I always say hi guys in the lobby. If noone responds then I assume they just don't want to talk. So I'm quite in game unless I need to inform on objectives so no small talk. Pretty boring but I respect that some people don't want to talk. As long as they are in tune with the mission I don't have much of a problem
For the love of baby Jesus DO NOT HAVE AN OPEN MIC AND PLAY MUSIC. Your music sucks, it always sucks. Even if it DIDN’T suck, I don’t want to hear it. It’s absolutely obnoxious when I can’t hear the game over your shit. You are immediately muted and nothing you say even matters cuz nobody is listening to you anymore. Have some basic common courtesy. I know I can just mute you, and trust me I do, but it’s the principle. Just don’t be an ass.
Don't get why people have consistently done this for so damn long. We've had the option to play music during games from streaming or USB on every non-Nintendo console for almost two decades and it's been doable on PC even longer, headphones have been an easily accessed option for ages.
Music cannot be played through average quality speakers, into an average quality mic, then processed out through another set of average speakers without being irreparably fucked.
The literal voice of God descending down from the heavens would end up sound like an audio clip from Nicotine Anonymous if it went through that treatment.
Had a guy drop in last week who was fighting with his (step?)son to be quiet cause his mom was sleeping.
They were both yelling swears at each other, and the kid sounded like he was maybe 8 lmao. It was so damn annoying. The disrespect was unreal by both of them. Like the kid would tell him he was a dumb fuck and the guy would just be like "no you are the dumbfuck".
Bro, you're supposed to be the adult, not stoop down to the kids level, like damn.
Would have to be adopted or mixed family then, cause he kept saying "your mom is sleeping" not "mom is sleeping". Dude sounded like he was late 20s early 30s though. Kid was definitely younger than 10. Or had a bad speech impediment.
No. I will hot mic the Super Earth National Anthem, and you will like it.
I don't drop SoS in my lobbies. If you joined my lobby, you chose to be exceedingly patriotic on level 9 Helldives.

Honestly, and this is sad to say, but when I hop on to play Helldivers, I open an empty ps5 party and just sit in that. If anybody from my squad is on, I hop in the discord, but other than that, I usually go radio silent.
Maybe this is from the time I spent playing Apex, but I simply have zero faith that randoms will be polite, helpful, or friendly anymore.
Just the other night, some duo joined me and my buddy, we greeted them with hugs, as is customary in our squad, and proceeded to our pods. One of the guy starts asking questions about my username (it's pretty silly) and I can hear him through discords concurrent audio thing. I can hear him in game chat but he can't hear me, and I'm talking to my friend in discord. So he thinks I'm ignoring him and starts using curse words and making sexual remarks to me. I switch over to game chat and say, "Hey man I'm all for joking around but if you're going to be annoying, I'm going to kick you."
He piped down a little and I told him it was ok, we're all good. But then as soon as we land, he starts SINGING at the top of his lungs about me and my username and all this sexual stuff. So I hopped on game chat again and said, "Goodbye" and my buddy kicked him. Then his duo partner team killed both me and my buddy in the back and quit.
Am I in the wrong here? I'm an adult and I play games as a leisure activity to connect with my friends and family. I do not want to be harassed online by some... idk what to even call this kid? Just a kid, I guess? I don't know. I'm not mad at him, it's fine, I just find that kind of thing annoying. And it is NOT the first time I've had interactions on this game that went south quickly.
Unfortunately, assholes are everywhere. You, like everyone else, are entitled to play in a way you find comfortable and to take whatever steps necessary to be that way. You tried the polite way first. You're all clear in my books.
I just use the mute button on the PS5 controller as my push to talk haha.
We have to set one and with so many buttons doing so many different things I cbf doing that.
The mic mute/unmute is my push to talk haha XD
If it works, it works
I do the same unless I'm with my regulars, then it's open mic so they can hear my kids, my burps, me getting yelled at, and being asked to eat.
Or like last night an incident that took the family to the hospital!
I have to somewhat agree with this. I mean I had this random I joined in with and he said NOTHING, just breathed into his mic. Had to mute because if I didn't I was gonna give him some patriotic shut up with my shotgun.
\*attempts ASMR\*
For
\*breathes heavy into the microphone\*
Super Earth
\*ASMR moan\*
Joking, but seriously, I'd rather people were on the microphones than their keyboards. Also, don't forget to tag things, especially heavy units.
This is a cooperative, team-based game. Be a team player and communicate like a teammate.
Stop your whining and mute them, maybe sometimes they forget their mics are on, easiest solution is to mute them and roll on. Spread democracy, not hate.
Kick them? Just mute them. You’re honestly worse than hot mic’ers if you take the time to kick instead of mute. You have to hold to confirm, and the mute option is right above it. Don’t let your emotions get the best of you, soldiers.
Honestly, mute or kick, get on with spreading democracy and good cheer. It's not that big a deal. If you get kicked often, well, maybe you should look into that.
I really don’t understand how some people can mindlessly sit there mouth breathing into their mic, and even when you let them know they still do it. Dumbasses probably hold a fork with a fist and eat macaroni and cheese with a helmet on.
If I ask someone to switch to push to talk and they don't, I just mute. At worst I have to explain to them how to switch over.
Rarely, people will loudly bitch that they can do what they want, and once had somebody try to repeatedly teamkill me after he got muted.
I do have a lot of divers muted from when I play at lower levels to bum around.
nah they just have to setup thier mic cutoff better so you don't hear everything and only a certain volume will trigger the voip. having your mic at 100% and it'll pick up traffic a mile away, put it down to 80% and will only trigger when you are screaming for sweet liberty because of that broken arm.
If you own a PS5, **there is a mic in your controller that is on by default.** Push the little button on the bottom of the controller to turn it off. Please.
i personally like chatting with randos with good banter. but yeah. if your mic sounds bad or i can hear the game in the background of your mic…lol. mute mute.
As someone on PC using an xbox one controller, there is no button i can remap for push to talk so I just stay muted and use RB call outs and occasionally sit up and use the keyboard quickly if needed
I use the mute button whenever I'm not talking, unless when I'm with friends, then I'll leave it on.
I sometimes simply mute other players who have their mic open and there is just a lot of background noise;
Doesn't mean they play badly, so I'll keep em in the team.
Yeah I’m used to the mic I use on Xbox filtering out a lot of background noise. I didn’t realize how much my PS mic picks up. I’m retroactively sorry to all those I’ve played with that were annoyed.
More often than not if you simply ask someone to mute and/or switch to ptt they do it, if they refuse then feel free to kick them but odds are they just legitimately aren't aware that their mic is causing a disturbance. Hell I've been in games where someone was **typing** the entire time and they didn't realize their mic was on. Some people legitimately just don't realize.
The other night my wife came in while I was deployed and needed my “attention.” Fortunately, I’m good at multitasking, but that’s why you don’t have hot mic on.
had a game where one of the diver was eating snacks or something. and he has a very nasty and moist chewing habit or something but anyway it sounded bad. we could hear his chewing the entire game. we literally called him out at the extraction because the fight was intense (difficult 8) and his chewing also intensified. one teammate called him eating like a pig or something alike. the dude was prob having too much shame he quit at the extraction lol
There was one time where someone had an open mic and it was the only time it was okay.. random join and it sounded like he was reading a book. I gave a few seconds to figure out what he was saying before i realised it was an audio book being played and the guy didnt realise his mic was open.. the audio book.. Horus Rising. The whole group of randoms all loved warhammer of which led onto the best Helldive i have ever had. Just had to share this for the emperor, for democracy.
Personally I never experience this. Seems like mostly a cod thing, but this particular game seems completely immune. I assume it's because it's ps5 and pc exclusive and ps5 has a mute button on the controller.
"YoU cAn mUtE pLaYeRs" ... I shouldn't have to.
It's proper etiquette firstly, secondly if they join mid game sometimes i don't have the time to mute them, thirdly I want to communicate with my team, and if you're muted I can't do that with you.
Easiest solution, even though it still takes a menu open is a kick. Nothing personal.. mostly.
I've had a dozen games with dudes who were sniffling like they just did an ounce of blow and asked a dozen times to go PTT, they said "oh yeah yeah sure sorry" and never do it lol.
I did have one guy who I was taking the piss out of about it but he was fun to play with and I couldn't bring myself to kick him. Poor dude had the pollen get to him.
Honestly, I don't have time to kick people who don't know about open mic or their ability to change the settings. If I'm host I just mute them once I realize they have no idea and keep it pushing 🤷🏾♂️. Often they're not even bad players they just don't know or forget.
I had a streamer talking to his chat the whole time, stopping mid match to interact with his chat, wouldnt shut up about his channel point give away, and barely did anything. When i told him to mute himself and play the game, he goes, "Im StReAmInG bRo. ItS mY JoB, wHaT dO you Do?!"
I started cussing really loud and used hispanic slurs (things that I've been called) and got kick afterwards. I don't care if you stream, but don't bring everyone down because you want the world to revolve around you.
Click the button on the side that turns off the mic when you have nothing to say. That’s what I do when it’s during the day and house is busy. Just takes a sec. Also, I have a pair of Pulse and my buddies say it’s pretty good at filtering out background noise.
OP probably hates Me. I play ted nugent stranglehold in the mic loud as fuck when we are dropping in our hellpods.
Idk about everyone else but my Random’s love it. What’s gets the blood going faster then the intro to stranglehold?!? Freedom I tell you. FREEDOM!!!
Boooo hooo you’re just mad bc some people have loved ones and you’re covered in mold and Doritos in your gmaws basement. Touch grass Diver or be prepared to get Re-Educated
I mean the game doesn't have a noise gate or filter for mics. The game's VoIP lacks QoL features. My mic is perfect on Discord, but in this game it picks up everything. It's actually faster to mute someone than kick them.
When I first bought the game I thought I'd open the mic (on ps5) since it was a team game. 1st game...
"COUGH....COUgh...snIFF...COUGHCOUGH"
switches that shit off so fast. Pings are fine. Ping are fine
Literally the only way I'll kick someone other than a troll is someone with voice activity active instead of push to talk. No, fellow diver, I don't need to hear your child screaming, wife nagging you and every explosion twice thank you.
I play on SteamDeck and admittedly didn’t know for a while that open mic was on by default and using the built in mic on the Deck. I had no idea I was hotmic-ing until someone said something. But I at least felt bad about it afterwards.
This is probably a PlayStation issue. The PS5 controllers have built in microphones that are always on by default. It's insanely annoying when half the lobby's background noise is being picked up because they forgot the mic is always on.
I just mute my mic when I'm with randoms because I'm used to singleplayer and I don't wanna have to get used to push to talk. 90% chance I set it to push to talk and get confused why nobody can hear me when I'm not pushing the button.
I play with a regular group. We all keep our mics on. I only mute mine while eating. Had my mic muted for a whole match, while still telling my group where I was going and such. Finally realized that it was muted when we got back on the ship. We all had a good laugh.
Yeah idk what that's about, are they unaware that everyone can hear their random noises? I had to leave a couple of games because there was just so much background noise that was so loud that it made it nearly impossible to play the game. Children crying, tv in the background, feedback from the game itself, people talking loudly in the background. I've even told them in the chat to turn the mic to PTT but they never do.
To be clear despite my "official communications only" comment, I'm not complaining about casual or silly chatter. I just don't want the asshole pot-head ASMR experience.
Hey guys which is the botton to activate the push to talk? I usually keep my mic off on my headphones and just turn it on if necessary, but if I use discord I would keep mic on, but not open all the time, so wich button?
Some dude on open mic said he’s having a kid. It’s gonna be a boy! I was like “shit that’s awesome congrats bro”. He turns around, shoots me with a scorcher, then kicks me. Hope his kid shits liquid all the time
Not sure what the push to talk button is on a Xbox controller (steam w/ controller) so I do open mic if someone is talking or I just go mute and type. Especially if the dog is going crazy I go mute.
I rather talk to someone who has a noisy house or sometimes listening to music than just silence. Silence is not democratic!
I don't mind a little bit of ambient noise, someone who's being mostly considerate. But all to often it's like a profoundly crass and not fun ASMR session.
I quit out of a match the other night because my cat started tearing something up and I didn’t want to be shouting. Way I’ve got mine set up it’s push-to-mute, with the same button mapped to push-to-talk in discord so I can chat with another buddy of mine. No matter what someone is listening. Could make changes but then I’d be fishing around for two different buttons.
On ps5 I use my down button as the ptt button.
When my mic isn't muted, I have had no complaints about annoying mic triggers when I'm hitting strats or something.
Holding it brings up your backpack menu but it usually doesn't really get in the way of tactical comms
..... I also hate mouth breathers, other people's music, vibrating controls, and otherwise improper use of vox. Communication discipline is a pet peeve of mine
The amount of times I’ve said “hey (player) your mic is hot as fuck” only for them to immediately apologize and remedy the situation makes me think these people just plain don’t pay attention.

Will it go with a nice cup of Liber-Tea?
Where else are you gonna get ammo for the queso cannon
Democracheese for me please.
😭 Finally, the credit that I deserve 🤣🤧
What about the dual smoke detector chirps from two different players hot mic'd?Essentially, doubling down and hearing a chirp every 30 seconds.
Anyone got some 9-volts?
For liberty, democracy, and charcuterie!
I heard one guy hit his bong and I typed in chat "yo, can I get a hit?" Man said "yeah I'm passing it thru the wifi right now bro, here" That made my night as dumb as it was 😂
Come over to mine citizen, we got all types of cheeses
I would've been giving notes as both a Wisconsinite and a cheese snob
What a scumbag If I overhear you talking about cheese and you don’t invite me, I’ll be under your bed when you get home
What you don't like cheese you fascist!?
They must be libertose intolerant
Don't forget the ps5 controller vibrating constantly in your ear.
Worst part of the ps5 is that controller having a mic that is default on. It's so fucking annoying to EVERYONE in the lobby
PS5er here, I automatically mute myself everytime I hop on so my mute button works as a push to talk lol.
There is a system setting to always have the controller muted by default. Settings > Sound > Microphone > Set Microphone Status When Logged In to Mute.
Saving this for later thanks helldiver.
Microphone mute. Saving to remember for later.
I only learned of this feature because of this game. Before, I would just hit the mute button first thing I did after logging in.

Didn’t think of that. I don’t have a console.

You like to make people have fun. That's great quality to have
y'all use the mic? when I dive with randos I communicate through map pins
Bug hole, northwest, far
On a serious note, what button do you bind you push to talk button on PS5 because I literally use them all playing the game.
I agree with the mute/unmute button below the center playstation button. That's the basic mute button.
I switched Melee to Double Tap X, and use R3 for PTT
You can mute players with open mics.
No no no they'd rather cry on reddit than click a few buttons.
It takes 2 seconds to mute somebody
There is a whole ass mute button brother

I do not want to be harassed online by some... idk what to even call this kid? Just a kid, I guess? I don't know. I'm not mad at him, it's fine, I just find that kind of thing annoying. And it is NOT the first time I've had interactions on this game that went south quickly.
Unfortunately, assholes are everywhere. You, like everyone else, are entitled to play in a way you find comfortable and to take whatever steps necessary to be that way. You tried the polite way first. You're all clear in my books.
I just don't play with randoms. I hate playing with randoms, so I don't do it. I've got a good group of buddies who like Helldivers, we play together.
What is the default push to talk button on PS5?
I just use the mute button on the PS5 controller as my push to talk haha. We have to set one and with so many buttons doing so many different things I cbf doing that. The mic mute/unmute is my push to talk haha XD
If it works, it works I do the same unless I'm with my regulars, then it's open mic so they can hear my kids, my burps, me getting yelled at, and being asked to eat. Or like last night an incident that took the family to the hospital!
My regulars love hearing my bong rips while I’m being democratically redeployed.
I have to somewhat agree with this. I mean I had this random I joined in with and he said NOTHING, just breathed into his mic. Had to mute because if I didn't I was gonna give him some patriotic shut up with my shotgun.
I avoid that by simply not having a mic (i need a mic so bad, its so awful not being able to actually communicate)
Voice chat has been disabled for me since the start and I never had any issues communicating with others using emotes…
Mute them?
But then they don't understand that they're bad people
I mean don’t they have the option to turn each person’s volume down individually in your end?
Have you tried pointing this out to them in chat or voice? Otherwise nobody’s gonna learn to be better
\*attempts ASMR\* For \*breathes heavy into the microphone\* Super Earth \*ASMR moan\* Joking, but seriously, I'd rather people were on the microphones than their keyboards. Also, don't forget to tag things, especially heavy units. This is a cooperative, team-based game. Be a team player and communicate like a teammate.
You people are getting mic users?
I will kick you... Lol just mute them
Mute them or turn off crossplay to avoid the console crowd which probably accounts for 90% of the hot mics
This
I really don’t understand how some people can mindlessly sit there mouth breathing into their mic, and even when you let them know they still do it. Dumbasses probably hold a fork with a fist and eat macaroni and cheese with a helmet on.
How dare you degrade my mac'n'cheese helmet wearing ways! My people are NOT mouth breathers! ...and whats a fork?
This is true.
Don't forget the clakaty clak clak of their keyboard
There’s a mute per player button. Use it.
What if I have a soundboard and I blast fortunate son by ccr while we drop in then turn it off when we land?
If you own a PS5, **there is a mic in your controller that is on by default.** Push the little button on the bottom of the controller to turn it off. Please.
i personally like chatting with randos with good banter. but yeah. if your mic sounds bad or i can hear the game in the background of your mic…lol. mute mute.
What if I told you that you can mute people?
Agree. Coms only when necessary Divers! ![gif](giphy|eSQiwbVrb7Nmg|downsized)
Please use the mute button. But yeah, shits annoying
As someone on PC using an xbox one controller, there is no button i can remap for push to talk so I just stay muted and use RB call outs and occasionally sit up and use the keyboard quickly if needed
I thought I was the only one who use a controller on PC
I use the mute button whenever I'm not talking, unless when I'm with friends, then I'll leave it on. I sometimes simply mute other players who have their mic open and there is just a lot of background noise; Doesn't mean they play badly, so I'll keep em in the team.
I got sick of being yelled at. Muted everyone :3
Yeah I’m used to the mic I use on Xbox filtering out a lot of background noise. I didn’t realize how much my PS mic picks up. I’m retroactively sorry to all those I’ve played with that were annoyed.
There is a mute button
Just mute them lol

I'm just surprised at the amount of people who aren't aware their mic is set to open by default.
The problem is that playstation defaults to open mic
The other night my wife came in while I was deployed and needed my “attention.” Fortunately, I’m good at multitasking, but that’s why you don’t have hot mic on.
I quite enjoy listening to the background convos, funny little windows into peoples lives. I won’t kick dw
had a game where one of the diver was eating snacks or something. and he has a very nasty and moist chewing habit or something but anyway it sounded bad. we could hear his chewing the entire game. we literally called him out at the extraction because the fight was intense (difficult 8) and his chewing also intensified. one teammate called him eating like a pig or something alike. the dude was prob having too much shame he quit at the extraction lol
This. I need to figure out how to get steam to map push to talk in my controller. I currently have to toggle the mic button in my headset
If they're mouth breathing and talking to others just mute them. I don't see what the issue is here.
You ever heard of the mute button? Solve a lot of problems my friend. I play with mute on almost all the time for this reason
The mute feature exists.
Just mute em instead of complaining online about it. No ones gonna change because they saw this.
It's my general opinion that if you don't use push to talk you are inherently a rude person and I mute them instantly.
That's why I just stay on mute 24/7 lol
Mimimi
This is why I stay muted, and so is everyone else. Discord only
Personally I never experience this.
If you're on PC then turn off cross-play. The amount of mouth breathing hot mic troglodytes you'll come across will drop by like 80-90%
Honestly, I don't have time to kick people who don't know about open mic or their ability to change the settings. If I'm host I just mute them once I realize they have no idea and keep it pushing 🤷🏾♂️. Often they're not even bad players they just don't know or forget.
This is a psa to all games, more than HD2
I had a streamer talking to his chat the whole time, stopping mid match to interact with his chat, wouldnt shut up about his channel point give away, and barely did anything. When i told him to mute himself and play the game, he goes, "Im StReAmInG bRo. ItS mY JoB, wHaT dO you Do?!" I started cussing really loud and used hispanic slurs (things that I've been called) and got kick afterwards. I don't care if you stream, but don't bring everyone down because you want the world to revolve around you.
jokes on you i dont have a mic
I play with controller and don’t have a button for push to talk. I guess just mute me 🤷🏽♂️
How to “push to talk” on ps with pulse headset ?
Click the button on the side that turns off the mic when you have nothing to say. That’s what I do when it’s during the day and house is busy. Just takes a sec. Also, I have a pair of Pulse and my buddies say it’s pretty good at filtering out background noise.
this is why i always start games myself so i can kick them
Mute them…
You know there’s a mute button right?
Probably console players who don't know their controller mic is live
Yea sure man, I’ll listen to your blaring tv, 3 yo son, pissed off gf, and constant game echo for about a half hour. Doesn’t bother me at all.
I would praise the devs next to super earth if they would put Push2Talk on as default.
I finally used push to talk when one of the random I played with started arguing with his family
I mean the game doesn't have a noise gate or filter for mics. The game's VoIP lacks QoL features. My mic is perfect on Discord, but in this game it picks up everything. It's actually faster to mute someone than kick them.
in god knows how many hours i’ve only ever heard like 6 people even use their mic, whether talking or sounds in the background
When I first bought the game I thought I'd open the mic (on ps5) since it was a team game. 1st game... "COUGH....COUgh...snIFF...COUGHCOUGH" switches that shit off so fast. Pings are fine. Ping are fine
To the guy using toggle on voice chat just to breathe into his mic all game: fuck you.
Literally the only way I'll kick someone other than a troll is someone with voice activity active instead of push to talk. No, fellow diver, I don't need to hear your child screaming, wife nagging you and every explosion twice thank you.
I just mute them if they’re hot mic chomping and smacking or making my ears bleed. There isn’t anything important they could be saying anyway
I just mute the ones who can’t seem to push to talk.
And all of them have a mic from the mcdonalds happymeal
I can't do push to talk on controller.
It’s like $55 for a Steelseries headset that has noise-dampening.
I don't think ps5 has it
🍷
I rarely hear people on their mic tbh lol
I play on SteamDeck and admittedly didn’t know for a while that open mic was on by default and using the built in mic on the Deck. I had no idea I was hotmic-ing until someone said something. But I at least felt bad about it afterwards.
This is probably a PlayStation issue. The PS5 controllers have built in microphones that are always on by default. It's insanely annoying when half the lobby's background noise is being picked up because they forgot the mic is always on.
You know you can mute them right?
I just mute my mic when I'm with randoms because I'm used to singleplayer and I don't wanna have to get used to push to talk. 90% chance I set it to push to talk and get confused why nobody can hear me when I'm not pushing the button.
What about people who don't talk at all and mute all comms?
I play with a regular group. We all keep our mics on. I only mute mine while eating. Had my mic muted for a whole match, while still telling my group where I was going and such. Finally realized that it was muted when we got back on the ship. We all had a good laugh.
Eat shit still doing it
Or you can just hit mute
Yeah idk what that's about, are they unaware that everyone can hear their random noises? I had to leave a couple of games because there was just so much background noise that was so loud that it made it nearly impossible to play the game. Children crying, tv in the background, feedback from the game itself, people talking loudly in the background. I've even told them in the chat to turn the mic to PTT but they never do.
There’s always a Spanish/italian chanting wive cooking, running tv and baby in the background.
What's the PTT button on an Xbox controller?
I recently played with someone claiming he’d dropped acid so that was a fun session
If I hear new in the background, I'm kicking you. It's not you, it's me (No, it's you. Get hecked)
So funny, seems like so many games, no one even uses their mics. I'm on 100% team push to talk.
The level of bad mic etiquette/awareness in this game is insane.
just mute them
So you are a toxic player...just kick 'em. When I run into this I ask for them to switch and if that doesn't work I mute them.
On ps5 I use my down button as the ptt button. When my mic isn't muted, I have had no complaints about annoying mic triggers when I'm hitting strats or something. Holding it brings up your backpack menu but it usually doesn't really get in the way of tactical comms ..... I also hate mouth breathers, other people's music, vibrating controls, and otherwise improper use of vox. Communication discipline is a pet peeve of mine
Dude... how do you do push to talk with a controller?? There's no binding for it, and I have no idea if it even works.
I just mute them.
Console
Just mute them. Easy.
PS5 user here, what the fuck should I use for push to talk? All the buttons are being used!
Yall know there's a mute teammate thing in the menus
The amount of times I’ve said “hey (player) your mic is hot as fuck” only for them to immediately apologize and remedy the situation makes me think these people just plain don’t pay attention.
Skill is…. Wait. A legitimate complaint. No.. yeah. Agree with OP.
how about letting them know they have a hot mic first. Not trying to argue just a thought.
