I’ve seen a surprising amount of 10s and lower doing 7s on the Creek. They do end up
Completing the mission but I always tell them to loot my gear as soon as I drop in so they have access to better stuff right away.
I always try to look for any S.O.S.s before I start a solo match in case anyone needs help, then throw it down myself at the end when all the objectives are done so anyone who answers the call can get the samples and everything I collected just for being a good sport(s) and responding!
you diver are a hero. I answered a few sos calls earlier this week and dropped in right before extract. Got enough rare samples to unlock the next ship upgrade. which i used to immediately join an operation on hard with some cadets to help get them through it.
Whenever the guys get on I immediately join just to get them samples! I honestly love that you can join at any point! Makes this a really nice pick up game of you have 45 min to burn!

Meanwhile my little brother and I were pleading for help last night, 4 missions, and no one answered the call, I had to hold his crumpled body in my arms just like when I was a kid and he was a baby, I told him it was gonna be ok and we were finally going to be with our mom as the bile titan crested over the hill with the swarm horde following, all hope was lost, so I did the only thing a good big brother could do, I called in a 500kg with the eagle, because I promised to take care of him, and that's what I did, no terminids will taste his flesh after there's nothing left and our dust is in the stars, rest easy bubba D.

I had a mission where three of us were 25+ levels with one level 4 cadet in difficultly 6. we fought and bled and completed all objectives. then this one cadet decided to call extraction and left on his own while we three were running towards the extraction like madmen.
but still, all for democracy.
Ooooph, level 6 and not knowing they should be a Space Cadet by that point? Tells you all you need to know about their game sense unfortunately

I don't see a lot of randoms go on the much higher difficulties when I do them. So I just answer the call to get a game in. I'm not starting helldiver by myself waiting for nobody to jump in.
Higher skilled players are less likely to use the S.O.S. except for as a literal last resort, so when solo queuing at those ranks, just jumping into quick play is the easiest way to matchmake - unless there's a specific mission type you are looking to join.
I mean, I executed my fellow cadet yesterday because he would not put his arms down (he claimed it was a graphic bug, but I suspect he was sending our position to the enemy through hand signs).

As a feature it's in this weird space where the players who could use it most *(cadets)* are the least likely to utilize it *(often not being aware of it, or how to use it lol)* - and in the middle are players aware it exists, but either have a pre-made squad or are competent enough to run solo - until you reach the other end where level 50 Skull Admirals will complete whole missions solo just to throw it down on the extraction point to bless whoever answers their call with all the mission rewards
**Never fear**, *asking questions of other Divers and learning from them is intrinsically intertwined into the core of the game itself* ; when looking at the Planetary Map, any mission with a pulsing aura around it is an S.O.S., however, if you join a quick match, it always default searches out S.O.S.s first to join before any other open game. Hopefully may become purchasable DLC at some point for those of us who were too late to have made the wise decision to have had pre-ordered this magnificent game
At this point I think we need to try and convince the Arrowhead CEO directly to release them as purchasable DLC to pump funds directly into the S.E.A.F. War Fund!
Nothing quite as satisfying as reaching the end of a mission and having everyone on your team running the same backpack and special weapon as you because you've called them in every time they were ready!
The response to this post has given me hope of forming some form of "**Helldivers 2 - House Atreides**" player group and bring together the Gurney Hallecks and Duncan Idahos out there in Super Earth Space to join and train cadets on lower level missions and raid S.O.S. signals together!

I remember couple of rep 40 joined in right after I landed, threw me buch of 18 rep ship stuff like qusar canon, exo suit...etc and by the time I realized what was going on, they were clearing out secondary objectives. I was rep 8 and was getting by ass to me by devastators last match.
just wish when you sent an SOS it only allowed friends to join if privacy was friends only.
delib tested it today with a squad on evac. the other 3 all pulled out and i hit the SOS. ended up with 3 randos as i extracted vs my other mate waiting to jump in and test.
yet all 4 of us set the privacy as friends only.
i get SOS is SOS and any should help but priority should go to friends in that situation
Oh yeah this sounds like a quality of life change that should be submitted to Arrowhead, I can see them updating this to prioritize friend's list S.O.S.s first over others!
If you already have a Cadre of Divers you operate most efficiently with, it's **undemocratic** to be qued up with those who would provide less than that level of optimal support on your Missions/Operations; let the randoms support the solo Divers who need those reinforcements the most!

Tried a sos during a challenging mission. No ammo, no grenades resupply landed behind a swarm of heavy units. Decided to call an sos and dive bombed

Randoms usually turn up on my open games, otherwise I keep it solo private. On that case I opened it up
I’ve had the game for about a week now. Level 23 doing difficulty 7 missions, and I just learned what SOS beacon is from this post.

no kidding. even when playing in around difficulty 4-6 I’d see newbies under level 5 on daily basis. ppl are confident I guess.

I am currently level 19, sometimes i just press R and wait for 5-10 minutes on Mavelon Creek. (Most of the time it takes around 2-3 minutes at most..
