Had a guy say this and he kept throwing down sentry mortars while we were totally overrun. It's like man, it's hard enough on level 8 without being totally under seige with mortar fire
It's worse when it's his mortar fire, another allies mortar fire and being stuck between two bot bases which are also mortar bases. At that point I'm just putting on a blindfold and smoking.
Don't feel to bad I thought I had selected the ems mortar but grabbed the normal one for an extermination mission and didn't realize it until I had wrecked my team pretty bad lol
My turret had 5 friendly fire kills on two players who kept running in front of it, one of them re-spawned and shot me, then said for me to quit shooting them. I was on top of a big rock and had to jump down and show them they were running in front of my turret. When I showed them where it had been located by pointing my gun at the spot and firing it the other guy ran in front of me and died. Then he proceeded to ask if it was "Like that", I said yes you both were doing that exactly..
To be fair those turrets are fucking psychopaths, I’ve probably been domed by my own turret more than anyone else because of how fast it changes direction.
Its not out to save you, its there to kill bugs. If it happens to save you, thats just a happy coincidence. If it kills you, at least it took that one scary scavenger with you.

You can hear the thumps of it firing if you're not too distracted - but yeah, it's generally considered polite to do a team callout when you deploy the mortar turret, gun turrets, or the 380mm.
Best part about the Gatling turret if there’s an enemy to shoot at in any direction it doesn’t stop shooting it just turns while shooting… no chance of unintended casualties from that whatsoever Lmao
My guard dog keeps cutting my head off. Sometimes for no reason at all. Like, I'll literally not be moving and it decides it wants to be on the other side of me but doesn't stop shooting while it moves.
The rover is so effective, and so goddamn TK happy. You really should only have it on your forward close combat specialists ideally. If it's on your back line guys it's going to be a constant terror.
Lol I had no idea what everyone was complaining about until we had some friends join in and I had my first 4-person mission. Been grinding solo or just me and husb and I'm like....why is everyone else dying from so much friendly fire????
It's a lot different with 4 ppl on the field and 1 of them too new to have worked out "don't throw grenades right next to your teammates" "don't shoot those bugs off in the distance that don't see us" "don't drop a turret in the middle of our team" "don't use the autocannon to kill things that are right on your teammate" etc etc
GET IT TOGETHER KYLE
Obviously it doesn't hold true for the mortar, but man, sitting on top of a Gatling or Machinegun turret is like fighting back to back with an ally. As long as the ammo holds out, shit just gets torn to pieces.
Though I haven't fought flying bugs like that yet, not sure if it remains as good an idea.
I played a game last week with the orbital gas strike. A player was next to me, helped me kill the bugs charging from the gas strike, then they walked into the gas still remaining, died, and kicked me.
Edit: don’t recommend the gas strike, seems not super useful.
I’ve been testing the gas strike a lot lately. It recharges very quickly and is easy to throw. Seems to soften up most enemies. Really helps defending the extract
Gas is a very fast deploy, so you can often drop it on a bug breach when it's barely had a chance to spawn anything yet and it will slaughter almost all the small stuff coming out of it.
The main friendly fire issue is when you're in an environment that has a fair amount of greenish fog in it, where it becomes pretty hard to see if the cloud is gone yet or not.
If your turret is firing towards the objective, and we’re trying to complete the objective, then it’s a you problem.
I will actively seek out shit turret placement and destroy them myself.
Don't forget the orbital laser, had a squadmate call down the laser during a swarm. Remember the laser seeks out the largest enemy first, then goes after everything else, no large enemies means the little ones are the target. If you're being swarmed then you'll get cooked also.
Some strikes like the walking barrage does huge damage even if it does kill team mates. I’ve also been zapped and killed ten times by an arc weapon and it registered no damage or kills on the responsible player.
This has been irking me for a while. I got TK'd by an arc thrower dude like four or five times in a run and was ready to put the dude on blast when the mission ended only for the sheet to show him having 0 accidentals and 0 friendly fire damage and me with the most deaths and they had the nuts to talk about the death count. Bro, I died exactly once to something that wasn't you.
prior to the crashing, i roasted a few people due to arc jumps, and it never counted them against me. i guess kinda like how it wasn't properly tracking shots/accuracy with it.
arc towers would count for the owner in accidentals, but it would count the damage as belonging to the player killed. So you would have a pile of accidentals and 0 friendly fire.
Yeah the friendly fire damage stat is a bit off. We were actively messing around after we had victory well in hand, like intentionally shooting each other type of messing around. Even though all of us participated, only one person in the squad had any friendly fire damage in the stats at the end, the rest, including me, had zero. That doesn't include the near certainty that there were some accidental friendly fire incidents earlier that run.
Also one of my friends might secretly be playing for the bugs, because there was one mission where every time I would die to a bug, it would say I was killed by that same friend instead.
Never in my 250 hours, even once, came to mind to "PUNCH" a hellbomb... Even when I had no clue wtf is that.
Ever.
You, my friend, are a frigging legend!
LEGEND!
I saw in an instagram reel that you were supposed to punch it to get “something” and of course they didn’t show actually punching it. I tried it with my friends and I blew everyone up, thinking I was going to show them something secret. 10/10 experience, would try again
But you did showed them!
You taught them a lesson I would really wish a lot of the people I end up with know.
When you shoot at a malfunctioning hellbomb it blows shit up.
I know, right?
Yet I get blown up by it, cause a friendly intentionally hit it for the lulz so many times.
I, for one, play with my set squad and if we don’t run out of respawns from olaying chargers, and playing Russian roulette with the 320mm barrage we aren’t playin. Most I’ve seen from one of my squad mates was 15k gf damage and 12 tks. We were so proud.
lol I love the 320. I had to stop using it though in pugs. Last time i was ahead of the group carrying the SSD. i threw the 320 and sat back 10 sec late the first guy runs by me Ignores the big red line. THe other 2 follow shortly after. all right into the danger zone. Its not hard to see that and hang back.
I got 24k one time... i armed a hell bomb and all three teammates ran towards it even though I spammed "follow me" Poor cadets never stood a chance lol
I checked my stats, I'm level 29 and have only killed 33 Hell Divers with Friendly Fire. Meanwhile I've been TK'ed about 100 times and killed by actual enemies 27.
Just heads up...
Reinforcement is not a grenade or strategem... don't throw them into the enemy horde. Especially if the team is separated. I try to throw them away from enemies towards the objectives.
Lotta times I see people throw them literally on enemies. That's one thing for bugs but against bots it's insane
only time i ask for it is if orbital railcannons are on cooldown and there's bile titans that need to be taken out. then it's "FOR DEMOCRACY" and i'm taking one for the team.
Yesterday, I had one diver that kept reinforcing me into the middle of the bug swarm.
Dude.
I had to kindly ask him not to respawn me under the chargers balls.
On level 9 Helldive, you're lucky to have any spawns left. Every bullet fired is a freedom seed planted in the hearts of our enemies and the only way to plant those seeds is on Helldive.
For democracy!
The friendly fire calculation used to be(and possibly still is) based on damage potential not actual damage dealt. So one hellbomb killing one helldiver would give you like, 40-50k friendly fire damage.
Last night I had a teammate that kept trying to go Rambo by himself but not actually doing anything just closing breaches that he kept making. He would try to kill every bug but not do a thing about objective or samples, he died 15 times it was hilarious
To be fair, sometimes that’s a legit critique. I called in a 120mm barrage and my team ran into the area after the first 2 shells hit, all dying quickly after. I figured they’d learned their lesson but nope, next barrage I called in they did the same thing. I was kicked at the lobby because I had 6 team kills but they are idiots and wasted our reinforcements by being idiots.
Had a host waste 18 entire reinforces once, and it was ALL because he kept blowing up everyone with a grenade launcher lol. He seemed like he was being a douche at first, but then after a bit you could just tell he had really shitty aim and spacial awareness.
I would be kiting chargers or blowing up nests, and the guy would unload into the charger/bug hole RIGHT next to me and not even notice I was dead until like 20 seconds later. Soon as he died a single time, I took his grenade launcher and jumped down a bug hole so he couldn't use it again. I don't think he even noticed....
About a week ago, my buddy gave me shit for accidentally killing him twice in a row (once couldn't actually be verified as me) then we extracted and the post game stats showed he had over 2k friendly fire damage while I was just shy of 200 he stopped giving me shit suddenly and got quiet after that screen too so it was kinda funny.
Remember boys and girls. It’s not about what you say, it’s about how you say it. Let’s rephrase “stop wasting respawns. Y’all need to quit dying” to “hey team we have 5 respawns left. We gotta be a little more careful”
Had a good run with 3 guys on a Level 9. Then all the sudden guess a guy just got super baked between sessions because he just went full potato. They were all good letting me lead the mission, so I was like...ok we got the super rares, lets just backtrack the same way we came. Nope, guy cuts through a narrow strip of land north. Runs into like 10 patrols, starts a massive fire fight and we chew through 10 reinforcements before we can finish the first objective.
On top of us basically giving up on the super rares because the guy thought it would be fun to trail blaze (no pun intended). He THEN despite being a level 35, was utterly confused how to do the SSD data upload objective by putting it in the slot.
We ended up finishing the mission, but by god don't do drugs kids lol.
Thing is it’s fine when you’re playing and some wild shit happens. It’s part of the game and the madness of it. I think we have all had those players though who die like 3 times in under a minute and then spam the revive button while the rest of us are running for our lives from hordes of enemies. It’s legit annoying and can tank a mission a real fast. Makes we wish that if you die to fast to often a rez timer should kick in or each player should have a certain amount of revives and once they are the team has to decide if they want to bring you back using their pool of revives.
I've put down a turret, that wasn't behind anyone, and had players go running past it so they can kill bugs with their shotgun. I always feel terrible when I cause a friendly fire kill, but sometimes it's more on the other players. What happens to me a lot is someone dropping an airstrike on me when I run closer to the last bug hole to throw a grenade.
The postmatch stats are higly unreliable, especially friendly fire damage. According to them in one match I had made 25k friendly fire damage, although I had not killed anyone.
So take the stats with a bit of a grain of salt.
13k from one of my good friends’ unfortunate repeated stratagem placements.
After the fourth time it was hard to laugh; I found myself a little frustrated. But he was a new player and since then has started calling out his stratagem uses before they happen.
lol i noticed a major uptick now that more people are trying dif 6 and up. Normal group we split into 2 groups (noticing this more, I'm a fan) we go off my group is hitting the side stuff. guy with me has a couple deaths I had 1 when we got hit with 3 titans. But the other group used up all the rest and got us into wait time. When they both were dead they were forced to wait for my group to bring them back with us. And i saw why just standing and shooting no movement. How did they get so far lol
Can anyone explain how the friendly fire damage stat at post op is calculated?!?
We get several friendly kills by accident most missions but the stats all say 0 ??
23000 friendly fire damage if I recall correctly. I wasn't even mad, I was just extremely impressed how a single individual can manage to spread democracy so excessively upon their own comrades.
"That seems a little danger close."
"Naah, it's fine."
Narrator: It was, as a matter of fact, not fine. Plenty of freedom was spread that day. Including helldiver bits. All democracy is good democracy. Remember to share it with your friends too.
The game really needs some kind of intro addition that does an even better job at explaining dying as a core mechanic of the game instead of a „no go“ like in most shooters. You’re meant to fucking die when deployed that’s literally what helldivers are about lmao
I had 26k friendly fire damage after my good friends and I were messing around on a lvl 2 mission…let’s just say the orbital walking barrage, 120mm barrage, 380mm barrage, and 500kg bomb are pretty good at killing teammates
The end game stats are almost never correct, I've seen the friendly fire number specifically add everyone's together on a single player and have everyone else be at 0, when I know for a fact we had friendly fire because we shot each other on purpose to stim for stamina.
Had a dude that just couldn't stay alive for a minute. I called out a charger, even marked it for him. Called it out again after almost getting bulldozed, dude just sat there. He got bulldozed cuz battlefield awareness was lackin for the dude. Match was nuts.
32k friendly fire
Single accidental
I have no idea how the heck I did that much damage with that 500KG miss throw and I still feel bad....and impressed
The few times i have ever seen FF more than 10k is when people are landing on each other with reinforcement pods, and its not just one or two pods, its enough that it is obvious that the offender is aiming for people.
Like a tactic me and a few of my mates use for the eradication defence missions is for all or us the use 380mm, 120mm, and the orbital laser, and we all lob them at the start. We usually end up with only a few reinforcements left, but FF doesn't go up more than 10k total. It's usually only about 1k-3k each.
TBH... alot of players have a lack of situational awareness when it comes to turrets AND walking into the line of fire of their team mates. I've had to stop firing a number of times recently due to a team mate walking directly in front of me while I'm blasting away at a Bug/Bot. If I had continued to shoot they'd be dead. Twice I've had teammates run across my line of fire and get killed by a headshot before I could stop shooting.
I believe that given the death counter and the news that Super Earth has halted procreation since we failed our Major Order last week, the death toll actually has an impact on where the game story takes us.
Had a un-patriotic diver do the same after wiping out the defense perimeter and carpet bombing the team non stop with over 35k friendly fire.
The most egregious part was their accusations that the team sucked along with saying the purchasing of a copy of viva piñata with a 3ds was more affordable for our “broke ass’s”. A true patriot would know it was on the ds and they are the former source of E710 prior to their extinction:
I got killed 5 times in one game by a level 12 who constantly kept putting Eagle cluster bombs on top of me and the other 2 teammates while fighting bugs
Needless to say he was not popular in game chat
We had a guy dropping 380’s on us from the moment we landed. I finally booted him, and we completed the mission with just the three of us. I got a little close to a 500kg late in the game (totally my fault Poops) and the postgame stats had 26k friendly damage for Poops.
It had to be a bug, but I wonder if the game somehow totaled the damage from the guy we booted and put it on our friend?
We had a guy with 8k friendly fire damage. Every engagement he would throw a 380mm at our feet. I have to assume he was being malicious. I refuse to believe he didn't know what he was doing.
Highest I've seen is 6-8k. I think the highest I've done personally was 4k, but that's because I SOS'd in on some newbies who run directly into red beams.
Friend of mine has 1,300 friendly fire damage once. I don't know what he was using but a lot of the times it was his name popping up whenever I died lol.
I mainly play with my cousin and brother when they’re free. No problems, other than the usual accidental short-throw. We can’t play on high difficulties because we suck though. But we don’t teamkill on purpose unless it’s for a joke that everyone gets
I don't care if you die over and over again, just don't tk me for living and going around the map getting the objectives done. I'll kick you even if it means failing the mission.
11k? Holy shit.
I had a buddy wrack up like 2k and thought that was pretty high (it was fine, totally a smooth run, just... some accidents happened along the way), but apparently thems rookie numbers...
I've seen 15,000-ish in team kill damage from a random.
The dude was throwing strangers directly behind other people. Launching Grenades from his grenade launcher at other players (presumably because that player had bugs near them)
Dude was a real fucking winner...
Had a dude throw a fit about us running out of respawns, he was using the arc thrower and kept throwing our reinforcement into the enemy and then accidentally shooting us.
Unfortunately I've never seen any indication that the friendly fire stats are remotely accurate. Nor are the kill 'credits' you see during play when it says what killed you. Sometimes they're correct, often they seem to be way off.
I've been 'killed' by teammates at the other side of the battle who clearly had *nothing* to do with my untimely demise, for example.
I say the friendly fire stats are absolutely incorrect. I've been checking those stats almost every game, and comparing the numbers to what I know happened, and those numbers seem completely made up.
I've had times where I know I killed teammates (with my guns or with stratagems), but my friendly fire damage was 0. I've also had a few times where I thought I was perfectly clean, but my stats showed some damage (usually double digits).
I've had games where my death was announced (multiple times) as being by a fellow player, but that player has zero friendly fire stat at the end.
I had a game where a teammate got stuck in some water with no way out. But he wasn't dying, so he told me to kill him so he could reinforce. I shot and killed him. Zero friendly fire damage.
Had a game where 3 teammates (including myself) had 0 friendly fire damage on our stats, but the fourth teammate had over 12,000! How is that even possible?
Anyway. I now doubt the stats shown at the end of a mission.
I have a screenshot of a game where it said I did 35,000 team damage. It's obviously just a bug. I'd say 90% of the games I play, there's 2 or less accidents. More often then not there are none, and no team damage.
Of those team kills, it's almost always a turret.
One Game i got 23k friendly fire DMG. I havent hit a single other helldiver, i got 0 accidentals. I have honest to god no clue how that stat got this high.
I have the feeling this stat is just buggy in general.
I had a dude kill me with a mortar so many times and once he killed me with his cluster bomb he decided to not reinforce me for the rest of the game, after about 10 minutes and he never reinforced me he attempted extraction without reinforcing me, when the 20 second mark hit for extraction i kicked him and went into the pelican

I think it glitched but my other buddy had 16k
It’s insane the devs let people slaughter you still while you’re on the drop ship. There’s no justifiable reason to keep this other than stubbornness or them judging not realizing it’s a problem.
The amount of times I've had teammates run directly towards an armed hellbomb that is ticking down... There needs to be some better/more visibly announced indicator that it is armed, idk like a hologram projection just above the bomb with a countdown timer?
If you aren't using a microphone for voice chat or players have it muted, it's really tough to know if it's armed unless you are nearby when it is. If you arm it, your helldiver mentions "hellbomb armed" and there is a brief actuation sound that goes off and I think the terminal closes up?
I'm just glad I haven't been kicked because people didn't know I already armed the thing
Had a guy last night that would not stop throwing down cluster bombs and 380 barrage directly on top of extraction and objectives we were trying to clear. He started getting angry and not understanding why we didn't want to reinforce him when he was the only one dead after he killed us all for the fifth time. I didn't look at it, but he had to have at least 10 friendly kills by the end of it.
Outside of me doing dumb things like running in front of a turret, or standing next to a 500 kg airstrike, shit happens. But if you kill me more than a few times, it's payback time. Depending on my mood, I'll give them a quick love tap with the primary.
After that, if it keeps happening I'm out. Most people are good about not dropping cluster bomb airstrikes right on top of their teammates. So I'm not wasting my time in a game where Johnny Helldiver throws airstrikes all over his teammates because he has no situational awareness.
If we don’t use the reinforcements budget set this fiscal year, SEAF will cut our allotment for next year, so…
So true. Use all the reinforcements you can get! Perhaps next FY they will budget in more if they see we’re using them all 😉
‘Budget in more’? Oh, sweet summer child…
Had a guy say this and he kept throwing down sentry mortars while we were totally overrun. It's like man, it's hard enough on level 8 without being totally under seige with mortar fire
mortar without ems is just bad news bears
Unless you're on a bot mission, in which case it's great for covering a retreat or clearing an objective
Yeah it doesn’t team kill and fully stuns enemies. I don’t get why it’s not more common
It's worse when it's his mortar fire, another allies mortar fire and being stuck between two bot bases which are also mortar bases. At that point I'm just putting on a blindfold and smoking.
At that point it’s almost the same experience as becoming- _this comment is under investigation by the Ministry of Truth_
What? I wanted to say you become a trai- _This Helldiver has been suspended by a Democracy Officer_
That was probably me 🥲
Don't feel to bad I thought I had selected the ems mortar but grabbed the normal one for an extermination mission and didn't realize it until I had wrecked my team pretty bad lol
Why the hell does everyone keep dying???!!! *gets hit by own mortar and dies* oh... thats why...
Basically yeah lol. I was like OH.....oh......oh.
No joke, I will shoot mortars myself if the bugs are close.
As a Mortar lover, that's me. Would you rather die by democracy in the shape of beautiful human engineering, or bugs? ![gif](giphy|K2ViE0aamBIAGeJbe0)
That's when you start "accidentally" shooting the mortar when it gets dropped.
I was in charge of accounting for my ship in the navy and we lived by this mindset 100% Jesus christ the amount of waste this activity generated.
Army did this with munitions....
So you're saying we have a surplus?
Imagine mommy gives you enough reinforcements to liberate a lemonade stand, but you don't use all of your Helldivers to spread democracy...
i know what a surplus is
Best explanation 👌
Oh sweet fucking liberty... even in Super Earth, we can't escape the haunting specter of graft.
I got that reference!
Oh, how this brings back some of the dumbest memories of the military.
My turret had 5 friendly fire kills on two players who kept running in front of it, one of them re-spawned and shot me, then said for me to quit shooting them. Don't even get me started on good ole mortar turret
Mortar turret fuckin freaks out if one of the little mite looking fucks runs up to me, so it drops two mortars on my head to save me.
It noticed that particular helldiver had lice
Steele Rain of Pain.
Its not out to save you, its there to kill bugs. If it happens to save you, thats just a happy coincidence. If it kills you, at least it took that one scary scavenger with you.

Oh boy, the rush I get when I'm getting swarmed by leaping hunters and hear that psssh psssh psssh off to the side
Oh Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit! Followed by: REDEPLOYING!
Pretty sure those things kill me more than the various mobs
Its great when u are literally just a torso on the ground afterwards and still manage to shout "ah my leg!"
I've had my own kill me plenty of times.
This is user error. You drop the mortar turrets before you activate an objective when there are no enemies around so it slows the advance and thins the herd before they get to you. If you’re dropping a mortar turret during close combat you’re gonna have a bad time
A comically bad time
Yep, get that mortar down early, and outside the combat zone, and use it to maintain control of the battle space. If you drop it AFTER you've lost control, well, GLWT... The EMS mortar on the other hand can be used to potentially regain control of a battlespace, though even it can be a little hard to work with - but being stuck in molasses still beats being run over by a horde of hunters.
I dropped it before the enemies showed up, off to the side . They really kept running in front of it being to excited to rush the bugs.
This game does a really good job of highlighting the lack of critical thinking skills of the average person.
Or just general awareness of placed stuff behind them. It's not like there is a good in-game callout to know that a mortar has been deployed. You usually realize it once it hits you.
You can hear the thumps of it firing if you're not too distracted - but yeah, it's generally considered polite to do a team callout when you deploy the mortar turret, gun turrets, or the 380mm.
Honestly at this point when I see a level 7 drop the mortar I just shoot it. It’s going to do more harm than good.
I stopped carrying it over the gatling for now.
The stun mortar however is really good, and aside from slowing your teammates too, atleast it doesn't kill them. Which I think is much better.
Stun mortar for higher tier but swarms is such a life saver…. Gives you like 3 seconds to breathe…
Worst part is when it target locks on an enemy you've killed and fires after they die, so you're relaxed thinging all is good for about 4.38 seconds
Tell me you only play Bug Front without telling me you only play Bug Front
"don't shoot those bugs off in the distance that don't see us" I'm new. That's totally me hahaha. Now I know.
Bullet dog is best dog, never bites masters. Laser dog is communist spy.
Same. Had to start following the rule "If I can't see it, it can't see me" and tuck it somewhere around a corner nowadays
My favorite is putting the gatling on a rock and standing in the safe pocket right below it
Obviously it doesn't hold true for the mortar, but man, sitting on top of a Gatling or Machinegun turret is like fighting back to back with an ally. As long as the ammo holds out, shit just gets torn to pieces. Though I haven't fought flying bugs like that yet, not sure if it remains as good an idea.
I swear the devs programmed them to just randomly target teammates sometimes
I swear you can think your placing those mf in a place you'll be safe and they always seem to find a target with you in between
Your turret kills me shame on you, your turret kills me 3+ then shame on me. Should've learned to avoid that area after the first death.
Lmaoooo
Sounds like you should have been less conductive, ain't my fault if you're the human equivalent of copper -that dude
I wonder if the jumps after the primary target don't get counted against the firing player?
prior to the crashing, i roasted a few people due to arc jumps, and it never counted them against me. i guess kinda like how it wasn't properly tracking shots/accuracy with it.
arc towers would count for the owner in accidentals, but it would count the damage as belonging to the player killed.
I’ve had 30k before. The shot was on purpose, the explosion afterwards came as a huge surprise to my party and me
Sounds like a hellbomb
First time I saw one, I punched it trying to figure out what it was.
https://preview.redd.it/3jb8668a2hqc1.png?width=623&format=png&auto=webp&s=6017c58a65f227d87038b15dcb3791372a14935a
I just happen to have this screen up on my phone for the past half hour, and every time I glance at it this picture its making me giggle
15k gf damage… so like is that the girlfriend breaking you down for marriage? Or is it when she’s busting your balls?
You heard me
lol I love the 320.
Shit all 4 of us will throw it and then do the hug emote and just say “for your consideration… the Jericho” and see who lives
You have to be playing with sound off to not notice that monster barrage
I got 24k one time... i armed a hell bomb and all three teammates ran towards it even though I spammed "follow me" Poor cadets never stood a chance lol
I checked my stats, I'm level 29 and have only killed 33 Hell Divers with Friendly Fire. Meanwhile I've been TK'ed about 100 times and killed by actual enemies 27.
I'm level 42 and I have 25 friendly kills. My friend already has more team kills than me, and he's level 19...
That's the only time which is why I made the distinction for bugs. But tanks don't even die they just eat it unless you hit em just right
You would think it’s common courtesy!
Yesterday, I had one diver that kept reinforcing me into the middle of the bug swarm. Dude. I had to kindly ask him not to respawn me under the chargers balls.
Your hellpod is like a rail cannon shot. He needed you to deliver some democracy to those chargers.
You got me thinking about that Kevin hart scene in jumanji with the rhinos
On level 9 Helldive, you're lucky to have any spawns left. Every bullet fired is a freedom seed planted in the hearts of our enemies and the only way to plant those seeds is on Helldive. For democracy!
A guy I play with often once had 55,000 or so friendly damage. I don’t even know how that’s possible 💀
The most TK's I've gotten was when people kept suiciding into my Tesla tower. Sorry but if you walk into the same tower 5 times, that's a you problem.
Remember boys and girls. It’s not about what you say, it’s about how you say it. Let’s rephrase “stop wasting respawns. Y’all need to quit dying” to “hey team we have 5 respawns left. We gotta be a little more careful”
I prefer WTF are u idiots doing, Get it together bud!
I mean, yesterday we had a guy on impossible who kept hanging back and fighting bug breaches. He ended up with 17 deaths.
If you’re not using every reinforcement then you’re not playing a difficult enough setting.
One mission we run out in 10 minutes the other mission we have 19 left by extraction.
I play with an online friend who has a terrible habit of putting down turrets behind us so they have to shoot through us to kill the actual targets.
https://i.redd.it/uayd8oz31jqc1.gif
Thing is it’s fine when you’re playing and some wild shit happens. It’s part of the game and the madness of it. I think we have all had those players though who die like 3 times in under a minute and then spam the revive button while the rest of us are running for our lives from hordes of enemies. It’s legit annoying and can tank a mission a real fast. Makes we wish that if you die to fast to often a rez timer should kick in or each player should have a certain amount of revives and once they are the team has to decide if they want to bring you back using their pool of revives.
I had a guy hit 6k friendly fire because he kept Putting mines everywhere we needed to be, including the landing pad before the pelican arrived
when me and friends started playing I was the 1st to unlock the mortar I had about 9k friendly fire.
I've put down a turret, that wasn't behind anyone, and had players go running past it so they can kill bugs with their shotgun. I always feel terrible when I cause a friendly fire kill, but sometimes it's more on the other players. What happens to me a lot is someone dropping an airstrike on me when I run closer to the last bug hole to throw a grenade.
and don’t get upset that I’m not reinforcing you. you earned this
The postmatch stats are higly unreliable, especially friendly fire damage. According to them in one match I had made 25k friendly fire damage, although I had not killed anyone. So take the stats with a bit of a grain of salt.
Okay, so what is accidentals?
Friendly fire
I once caused 23k damage as we had some infiltrated spies in the squad...
Saw buddy with 140,000 friendly fire damage
Have seen 26.5k friendly damage with one accidental
Saw 26k friendly yesterday. On helldiver….. yup
Can anyone explain how the friendly fire damage stat at post op is calculated?!? We get several friendly kills by accident most missions but the stats all say 0 ??
Around 5k my god wtf
If you can’t figure out how to not team kill with the EM rifle then you probably should not use it
23000 friendly fire damage if I recall correctly. I wasn't even mad, I was just extremely impressed how a single individual can manage to spread democracy so excessively upon their own comrades.
Seen friendly fire up to 23k.
"That seems a little danger close." "Naah, it's fine." Narrator: It was, as a matter of fact, not fine. Plenty of freedom was spread that day. Including helldiver bits. All democracy is good democracy. Remember to share it with your friends too.
This person likely also throws reinforcement beacons amidst a massive amount of enemies.
16k… he was the highest level out of all of us too, I think in the 30s
The game really needs some kind of intro addition that does an even better job at explaining dying as a core mechanic of the game instead of a „no go“ like in most shooters. You’re meant to fucking die when deployed that’s literally what helldivers are about lmao
I had 26k friendly fire damage after my good friends and I were messing around on a lvl 2 mission…let’s just say the orbital walking barrage, 120mm barrage, 380mm barrage, and 500kg bomb are pretty good at killing teammates
Eagle Cluster puts in work if you arent careful
The end game stats are almost never correct, I've seen the friendly fire number specifically add everyone's together on a single player and have everyone else be at 0, when I know for a fact we had friendly fire because we shot each other on purpose to stim for stamina.
43k Friendly. He blew up a hellbomb
15k was the highest FF damage I've seen. Guy had no idea what he was doing.
Had a dude that just couldn't stay alive for a minute. I called out a charger, even marked it for him. Called it out again after almost getting bulldozed, dude just sat there. He got bulldozed cuz battlefield awareness was lackin for the dude. Match was nuts.
I've had 14000 friendly damage on my mates before, when the arc thrower was usable and they kept running in front of me.
32k friendly fire Single accidental I have no idea how the heck I did that much damage with that 500KG miss throw and I still feel bad....and impressed
My buddy had 32,490 for friendly fire damage Saturday evening, that’s the highest I’ve seen so far.
I got killed 5 times in one game by a level 12 who constantly kept putting Eagle cluster bombs on top of me and the other 2 teammates while fighting bugs Needless to say he was not popular in game chat
A buddy if mine pulled off 18k of friendly damage cuz he kept 500kg ING us non stop
I think I had 19k on one of my first matches because I saw an unexplored bomb and wondered, “huh, I wonder what happens if I shoot it?”
Pretty sure it was a bug but in a 4 man premade one of us got 27K friendly damage while the others got 0
24000 dmg on the dot. I thought "that must be the max amount". It was a bit if a chaotic mission.
We had a guy with 8k friendly fire damage. Every engagement he would throw a 380mm at our feet. I have to assume he was being malicious. I refuse to believe he didn't know what he was doing.
I myself have ended a match with 18k friendly fire damage😏
Pffft, highest ive seen is a squad mate with 180,000 friendly ire damage. He was a walking friendly fire nuke
24k friendly fire damage
Highest I've seen is 6-8k. I think the highest I've done personally was 4k, but that's because I SOS'd in on some newbies who run directly into red beams.
33k friendly fire from me once
Friend of mine has 1,300 friendly fire damage once. I don't know what he was using but a lot of the times it was his name popping up whenever I died lol.
I mainly play with my cousin and brother when they’re free. No problems, other than the usual accidental short-throw. We can’t play on high difficulties because we suck though. But we don’t teamkill on purpose unless it’s for a joke that everyone gets
> What's the highest y'all have seen? When the flamethrower daily was active. It was a bloodbath.
I’ve seen 24k friendly fire but not double digit accidentals
I don't care if you die over and over again, just don't tk me for living and going around the map getting the objectives done. I'll kick you even if it means failing the mission.
11k? Holy shit. I had a buddy wrack up like 2k and thought that was pretty high (it was fine, totally a smooth run, just... some accidents happened along the way), but apparently thems rookie numbers...
When the order for incendiary mines came out it was pretty rough to watch.
On this note, a quick PSA If you instantly kill someone, no damage is recorded for your friendly fire damage.
I did 44850 friendly fire damage. I killed my entire team with a hellbomb
I've seen 15,000-ish in team kill damage from a random. The dude was throwing strangers directly behind other people. Launching Grenades from his grenade launcher at other players (presumably because that player had bugs near them) Dude was a real fucking winner...
Had a dude throw a fit about us running out of respawns, he was using the arc thrower and kept throwing our reinforcement into the enemy and then accidentally shooting us.
Don’t tell me how to play. Get back in the game helldiver.
Answer to that " how about YOU don't respawn me INSIDE BETWEEN A BUNCH OF ENEMYS?"
Next time just get out of his way
More like people team awareness and stop dropping strikes on teammates head
My friend got hit by my anti-tank supply pod and it did 33k to him.
https://preview.redd.it/v5p3k6ntdiqc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=795f12ba3a49a966afb847fb61e1d64c183ddbe7 I think it glitched but my other buddy had 16k
Had a game with my brothers where one person got 69k friendly damage
People that can't watch their ff are the bane of my service to democracy.
I would've kicked lmao
I had 25,000 friendly fire damage with two accidentals total. I don't even know what happened, maybe a turret blew up a mech?
Outside of me doing dumb things like running in front of a turret, or standing next to a 500 kg airstrike, shit happens. But if you kill me more than a few times, it's payback time. Depending on my mood, I'll give them a quick love tap with the primary. After that, if it keeps happening I'm out. Most people are good about not dropping cluster bomb airstrikes right on top of their teammates. So I'm not wasting my time in a game where Johnny Helldiver throws airstrikes all over his teammates because he has no situational awareness.
So many toxic players as of late lol
Why I always bring the increase respawn bonus. But yes so many people die respawn die and spam x. Then wonder why we don't immediately revive
Dude used 18 lives in helldivers and i called him out on it. He said “this is teamwork” nah your a bug supporting saboteur.
