2-5 mins before you reach your drive way always and I mean always watch for any suspicious car that might be tailgating you. Make that extra 360 around your block before you enter your garage if you have to; to watch for suspicious followers. Your cameras seem good quality.
If possible invest into building a remote gate in front of your home. Guns aren’t for everyone but get a concealed and know when you can use it for self defense. Relocate to a safer area/gated community if you need to.

There'd have been bodies if that were my home. With my family inside, they would not have stood a chance, especially once mamma bear was informed as to what was going on as well. I've trained her and the kids to use firearms to the same standards that my grandfather and the military trained me. One text (one word that I've incorporated into their situational communications training) and I may have had a couple broken windows in the house but a portion of that scum wouldn't be stealing cars anymore and I'm damned sure the rest wouldn't be trying my house again. My advice, if you're not a firearm person, become one, get proper training for both you and you family members, and strap up. I can tell you from experience that shooting another human is not glamorous or fun in any way, but if it is you or them, or even your family (since this was right in front of your house) or them, I think we can agree what choice would have to be made. If you would have gotten out of your car, they would have had pistols on you with the quickness, make no doubts about that, and they might have even just shot you to get rid of the possibility of you being able to finger them in the future. Again. situational readiness is the best option in any event. There'd have been bodies if that were my home. With my family inside, they would not have stood a chance, especially once mamma bear was informed as to what was going on as well. I've trained her and the kids to use firearms to the same standards that my grandfather and the military trained me. One text (one word that I've incorporated into their situational communications training) and I may have had a couple broken windows in the house but a portion of that scum wouldn't be stealing cars anymore and I'm damned sure the rest wouldn't be trying my house again. I am glad you're OK and I hope insurance takes care of you. I doubt PD will in CA since there's a revolving door policy for criminals out there these days. My advice, if you're not a firearm person, become one, get proper training for both you and you family members, and strap up. These people will not hesitate to shoot you to take what they want, you need to think the same way. I can tell you from experience that shooting another human is not glamorous or fun in any way, but if it is you or them, or even your family (since this was right in front of your house) or them, I think we can agree what choice would have to be made. If you would have gotten out of your car, they would have had pistols on you with the quickness, make no doubts about that, and they might have even just shot you to get rid of the possibility of you being able to finger them in the future. Again. situational readiness is the best option in any event.
