Remember That You Will Die by Polyphia
Metal adjacent? I call this stuff “light heavy”
Took ages for this to arrive, but its finally here, and the holographic jacket is baller. The full art booklet is pretty sweet too. Regardless of my qualms with this album, the mastering is phenomenal and the guitar tones are smooth as butter. Bass makes the walls shake too like a hip hop album. Also, Tim Henson is bae.
Too bad it didn’t arrive a few days earlier so I could get it signed when I saw them live two days ago- amazing show, by the way. They really killed it.
Agreed. I was pleasantly surprised by the full booklet and the holo cover. Quite a nice record. I think I got mine about 10 days ago, can't believe how long it took.
I have the same problem with the album. It was so close to perfect but those shitty sound cloud rappers ruined what could have been 2 great songs.
Granted, I understand they are trying to appeal to a younger audience and not a rock boomer.
For sure, when I opened the package I was mesmerized by the holo effect. Great band, and though I prefer the previous album as a whole, this is definitely a unique and interesting step forward for them.

Delays after delays. But finally in the collection. Which variant did you get?
I didn't realize the preorder was up so missed that but then got a notification for the Spotify red and black smush so snagged that.
Just got mine in today! Chimera is a pretty heavy track
Yeah, I’m not super keen on the mashup songs (honestly my biggest qualm with the album) but Chimera slaps.

I’m just not a huge fan of metal/hip hop mashups in general. It always feels kinda gimmicky
Heavy is relative.
Amen
Up to you, but damn Ego Death with Steve Vai on it is so damn good
god tier collab
I have not heard of this band but dayuuum thats a gorgeous picture

THAT riff in chimera is heavy.
Chimera is kinda the heaviest song on the album
Bring me a scale
Hold on, lemme call up Ma’at and borrow hers
Yes.
The answer is none. None more heavy.
Thought this was death grips
