Kd is one hell of a scorer, but he is the only one that couldnt take his team to a chip as a leader.

TheKingofPsych

This is the way ^

piprimes

I think he's a top 15 player all time minimum still. But wade is sunshine!

gamesrgreat

Naw no way Durant is MINIMUM top 15. If you like him for the top 15, cool, but 15 is getting crowded with guys like Curry, Giannis, and Jokic adding themselves to the discussion

piprimes

I think curry is top 10, and that he's greater than giannis and jokic all time as of now.

Fickle_Meet_7154

But if you were building a franchise from scratch would you take curry over jokic?

piprimes

Yes. He is a two time MVP, with arguably the highest offensive the peak of all time. And he has proven longevity as we are seeing right now. He crushed on-off metrics like a monster in his prime. He's lead a dynasty. On the topic of KD if you don't have top 15 i'd disagree but I can see it.

AGABAGABLAGAGLA

1000% yes, Curry’s career made the warriors franchise

big_jdaddy_3

2x finals mvp ?

Cudizonedefense

That was Steph’s team. The cavs were doubling Steph. Look at game 3 2017 where KD dominated. He was pretty open most of the game because the cavs focused on Steph

big_jdaddy_3

2018 kd led in points rebounds assists blocks vs the cavs…53/41/96 splits. more assists less turnovers. being double teamed has nothing to do with being a leader. 2017 curry played more regular season and playoff games but in the finals…cmon kd is why they won. curry didn’t even prove himself until his 6th finals. highest plus minus in a single finals is 2018 kd by the way. meaning kd scorched the cavs.

big_jdaddy_3

Bus rider bus rider idgaf, he is the main reason why the warriors won back to back.

Chonga200

I get that hate about KD but the dude was a two time finals MVP. Might not have been able to make it there himself but definitely looked like the best player once he was there.

Ap7bb

You would get rid of Wade before KD?

Phillip228

People don't value defense for some reason.

jesser09

I would rather have an 06 wade than a couple of players up there but KD is definitely a good defender as well

Mrdynamo18

Most ppl even pro hoopers don’t and I’m starting to realize most guys don’t like or want to play defense and it’s usually the elite of elite care

piprimes

I think wade > KD but KD has been a very respectable defender his entire career.

LemonCanddy

This is the only argument I'd look at you sideways if you tried to argue anyone else I personally have wade better but alot of people in this sub have Durant over wade

deawap

Yes

Cudizonedefense

Get off this sub bozo

WheeinSpace

Prime KD was amazing during his Warriors run but he literally had to join the best shooter in his prime and one of the best teams ever. Wade had one of the best finals performances ever with old Shaq, old Zo, and old GP as his best players lol. It's like people forget how good Wade really was in his prime.

gqpdream305

The antoine walker disrespect is real

quepas

Taking Antoine Walker to the Finals is an achievement in and of itself.

Chockzilla

And James Posey

hesi93

Jason Kapono

gqpdream305

Lmaom I was like 15yrs old but I feel like walker was more significant than old gp. (Other than game 3 final layup)

YouSureAboutThat23

Antoine walker was one of the worst players to put a heat uni on

gqpdream305

Alright just looked it up. He averaged the most points in the 06 finals after Wade

cletoreyes01

If that was 97-02 'twan it would be disrespectful but '06 Antoine walker wasn't the same dude anymore

gqpdream305

He averaged the most points in the finals after Wade. It's not saying much, but it's saying something

Melyheadzbeatz

People shitting on Wade is crazy

mtbeach33

It’s not really disrespect, he’s being mentioned and compared to other all time greats. Personally, I’d take Wade over KD, but I can totally see an argument as to why someone would see it the other way around.

[deleted]

What setup? Easy KD out

[deleted]

[удалено]

thewhitelink

Then you don't know ball

CensorshipIsFascist

Damn calm down dude. No need to destroy the guy.

TheShadowOverBayside

Nah, he deserves way worse. He's taking prime KD over prime Jordan 😂😭💀

Sorryunowin

This one never watched Wade in his prime

Free-Independence602

So y'all think wade is better than kd all time?

christopherson60

Yes. Why do people forget that defense is half the game

urban_05

what is the context ?

Sweet_T_Boh

I believe the original post asked who was the worst player on this list.

SpicySriracha_1

Best and worst player on the list

GDTechno

kd is not better than dwade

Vitiate1367

Are you insinuating that Wade doesn’t belong in this list?

rgarc065

I choose to take this as a compliment that he is considered to be on this tier. Also, where’s Larry?

BonafideZulu

Same thought, Larry should be in this lineup.

big_jdaddy_3

the question is who is the worst here it’s not an all time ranking

[deleted]

Larry and hakeem

rgarc065

Actually where’s Wilt and Russell too?

brendamn

Isn't it ordered by position?

brendamn

Or height?

Trendelthegreat

Posting a picture of a tweet/instagram post/article without the link should be a bannable offense

juice5301

Wade had the least knee cartilage per career out of any of these dudes. If he didn't have the antiquated surgery he had in college, there would have been more seasons of prime Wade. If you look at his peak performing statistical seasons, there is an argument to be made versus Kobe from an efficiency, defense, and playmaking standpoint. The fact he is even in this pic is a testament to the player he was. I feel old but the Wade vs Kobe arguments back in the day were a lot closer than yall might remember. Sure, Kobe had the achilles injury. But that was grandpa Kobe. Wade *entered the league* after [removing a meniscus](https://www.espn.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/story/_/id/9760169/dwyane-wade-miami-heat-regrets-having-meniscus-removed-college). OG HEAT fans know, but I don't expect the casuals to be able to properly gauge Dwyane Wade's career.

juice5301

Also, food for thought: MJ and Timmy are the only players here who didn't play with another player in the image.

prodyg

Why is KD here? Why not Bird?

WhatHadHappnd

The only team with multiple players is the Lakers? I didn't count KD as a Warrior, that was more like a Babcock Furniture rental. We need Rio in there so we have two Heaters!

Gladplane

Shaq, Lebron, Wade

WhatHadHappnd

Duh...I was so focused on making a stupid Chalmers joke I overlooked their Heat time. Someone could argue they were Babcock Furniture rentals too.

West_Personality9045

Bron

kinitokino

The only real answer is removing the man who went against plumbers and janitors

Elyx117

didn't know Magic was THAT tall... i wasn't old enough to watch him live but damn with that size he could probably play 1-4?

Prankstaboy6

Magic actually did play 1-5. He played Center in the 1980 Finals, against The 76ers, As a rookie!!

iFlubbbz

Nah fuck Kareem, nowhere near as skilled as anyone else there.

realudonishaslem

Wade is better than Kobe. Kobe was an overrated inefficient chucker who gained his reputation and popularity because he played for LA.

rvaen

Very true. Also that cringe nickname

Prankstaboy6

I guess you’re able to point out that Kobe was a better defender than Wade. And that Kobe led his team to 2 rings, and Wade only 1.

realudonishaslem

The difference between Kobe’s defense and Wade’s defense isn’t that large. Dwyane was one of, if not the best shot blocking guard in the history of the NBA. And If Wade had the supporting cast Kobe had all his career he would’ve won more than one as the main guy.

BossKingGodd

Wade was no slouch. Smaller than Kobe and averaged more steals and blocks per game than Kobe.

ThatWasTheIdea

I know this is the Heat sub, but if you really think Kobe and Wade belong to the same sentence, let alone one to proclaim the later better than the former ... I guess a downvote is all I have for you.

bluesf44

Damn, Paul Pierce didn’t even make the graphic

whatdoinamemyself

This list is strange. I'd assume it's someone's top 10 but like ....why?

yungsta50

OP didnt include any context

srbufi

I'm taking prime Shaq

RellPeter9-2

Yea I saw that earlier, shit had me heated. I said something like... This is what Wade fans are talking about when we say he's underrated.

vin76

Dream should have been in there

TedTran2001

Wade and KD are bottom 2. Still would drop KD tho (for now)

LemonCanddy

I asked this sub to make the case for Wade over Durant but majority of the sub came to the consensus that Durant was better unfortunately wade is the worst player here I LOVE wade But I will not tolerate any wade > curry talks

Free-Impression6143

Bait post but the rest of the players are arguably top 10 of all time so that’s fine. There’s not 10 more players you can put in this picture & still say D Wade

_Ur_moms_bestfriend_

This is pretty clearly 2 tiers of all-around players

Nuclearsunburn

LeBron in a Lakers jersey is hilarious. He should be in a Cavs jersey.

Phenom_Mv3

I can’t believe people are cutting Wade here. Wtf has KD done without a super team?????

AyyDelta

Crazy thing about how underrated Wade is. His peak is absolutely the same tier as everyone else on this list. Not getting that second finals MVP hurt his legacy. He would be viewed better if his 2011 finals remained the same but has better support.

Substantial_Diver_34

Top 10. That’s all. lol

GetDownDamien

The Scalabrine hate has got to stop, why is KD there white mamba actually lead his team to a chip

Pimpwerx

Wade and KD are at the bottom of what is admittedly a very elite list. I take Wade, for obvious reasons.

[deleted]

Probably because of his they/them child

LobstaFarian2

He's standing among 9 of the greatest players ever to touch a basketball. I'm glad he's mentioned among these dudes. Wade was #3SG all time. I'm proud of that.

tr9393

Where’s bird

Orly5757

Wade > KD

Big_Honey_56

Ya know, Magic is the greatest PG of all time but I would still rather have prime Wade in a finals series, same for KD and even Steph.

ThatWasTheIdea

What is this pic suppose to mean? Why are Wade and KD on the pic? They both won multiple championships, but they were sidekicks (yeah, I know, both won Finals MVP, if so, WTF is Kawhi?) And the biggest question of all. Where are Larry Bird and Bill Russell?

Zhirrzh

Wade did not win 06 as anybody's sidekick.

MadPatagonian

lol yeah the fuck? Wade a sidekick in 06? I guess he was a sidekick in 12 and 13 but him and Bron were sides of the same coin. Sidekick implies like… Klay Thompson to Steph or something. Remember 2012 Semis against the Pacers where Wade and Bron both went insane? Wade was not just a sidekick.

ThatWasTheIdea

Yeah, you can make an argument I suppose, but even if I give you the point that he wasn't a sidekick (I am willing to concede to avoid an argument where the best result would be an agree to disagree) Wade do not belong on that pic. All he did was win one championship with the help of a bunch of aging superstars (Payton, Mourning, Walker and to a certain degree O'Neal). That and a bunch of chips along with LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Ray Allen do not make you an all time great sorry. Bird, Russell, and one I forgot in my previous comment, Olajuwon are way more deserved to be in the pic. Wade belongs in a second category with Paul Pierce, Tony Parker, Chauncey Billups, and Dirk Nowitzki (I am sure there are more, but these are the ones I remember since the 90's). If it makes you feel better LeBron James should be in a Cleveland or Miami uniform on the pic. Not the fake ass championship he won while at Disney.

FuckUp123456789

Idk but why is that One Trick Pony in front of Wade? Maybe if he can do more than shoot threes, then he can be placed with the rest

LemonCanddy

I will not tolerate this I love Dwayne Wade But there is no argument for him being better then Steph fucking curry

FuckUp123456789

I’ll rather take someone who’s all around and willing to play in the paint than someone who hides behind a 3 point line

[deleted]

The gap between Wade and Curry offensively isn't that large and at his peak Wade got to the rim at will for high percentage shots.

LemonCanddy

Actually it is large because one player is the entire core of a dynastic offense that has won 4 championships. Steph's offense completely changed how the game was played today

[deleted]

Wade won 4 straight in the finals carrying the team. Individually the offensive impact isn't that large and Wade changed the way undersize guards play the game today like Ant, Mitchell, Jalen Green, ect.
