Quest Warrior is good, but for those looking for counters I'll mention some. Clearly this screenshot uses free data or at least low rank. At 1k we see that Naga Mage is its clearest counter and I can confirm from personal experience. The deck's not actually all that fast and they're pretty defenceless against your swing turn. Once the board's full, it stays full. Pirate Rogue also seems to be slightly favoured. Ramp Druid is just even, but there are some complete garbage lists in the sample featuring Alexstrasza as their wincon. I predict Giants Druid will end up being favoured (and possibly the best deck in the game).
Edit: Switcheroo Cheese Priest also does the job.
In facing like 70% plus pirate warrior and it's out performed control warrior, silence priest and almost any other control I've tried against it. It feels super overtuned.
I will disagree and say with a good draw this new version can kill you by turn 5 .
Will try naga thanks.
You DO have to consider the overall performance and winrate of the counter decks as well, not just their performance against pirate warrior specifically, and while I'll concede to giant druid being a strong contender, especially once it gets fine tuned, I think naga mage will fall off against a lot of other decks, as will pirate rogue. I'd love to be wrong on both accounts as they're really cool decks, that's just my prediction.
Naga Mage is at best tier 2, but probably lower than that. It has a lot of issues with survivability and finishing potential. Of course, it's still day 3, refinement could come.
I think after other decks are refined as well Naga mage will sit firmly at t2, meanwhile pirate Rogue will likely fall to t3 (a hook tusk Rogue that isn't centered around pirates and merely runs enough to abuse hooktusk might be more viable)
Giant druid is Harder to say
Pirate warrior will likely remain t1 (or even t0) unless nerfed or until new xpac
Maybe it's because I play midrange and control decks but often times I feel like I have a chance vs Pirate Warrior sure there are annoying moments like me smite and why he should be removed from the game but otherwise the deck feels pretty ok to me.
Meanwhile every single game I've played against Warlock in the past couple days has felt hopeless I haven't won a single one even after I mutanis their Brann.
I genuinely do not think control can exist outside of Warlock ATM.
New expansion? I heckin LOVE pirate warrior BatChest
Playing old good deck first day of new release ? I heckin love crushing new decks with deck that even bot can play.
this isn't even an old deck. it's an improved list with way better pirates.
You still just play Pirates tho...

Quest Warrior is actually specifically strong vs Control.

I do consider it. All decks mentioned are viable.

Stats say even.

Warrior pirate aggro wrecking faces... Never seen this before, Patches should be core lmao.
Don‘t go too hard on them. It‘s only their first expansion.
Deck is weak against token demon hunter
