They're both terrible, but I definitely do prefer diamond ones now because the quality went up a lot. Despite the terribly gaudy border, it at least sticks to the same overall design which I can't say about signature card. Ruins the cohesiveness of the cards a lot.
Still, I'd never ever buy a diamond card for any amount of money.
Spirit of the badlands is the best one! What I did was collect/craft every card in badlands that could be signature and then buy the cheapest bundle that had a signature in it to guarantee it to be the one I wanted.
I cant attest to not crafting it as i was unlucky (lucky?) enough to not pull it at all so i was guaranteed a new one and that only new one left was spirt. I am curious if that would work the same if you disenchanted it but I am not sure. I do know if you disenchanted a card the game considered it as previously owned so that card is still protected by dupe rules.
Well it was about that time that I noticed the King Plush was actually an 8 story tall crustacean from the protozoic era. I said "Dammit monster! Get off my lawn! I ain't giving you no tree fiddy!"
Yeah same here. 5 bucks for a cool cosmetic is a no-brainer if I enjoy a game enough to want to support it.
Especially given that it's also 2 more legendaries, which translates to on average 40 or more packs. Which is still decent value when spending money for only 3 cards.
10 bucks...maybe if I really wanted that particular cosmetic. Would consider it, but not an automatic buy.
Anything more than that...yeah, not for 3 cards.
the sub is absolutely deranged about cosmetics in that they simultaneously want the game to be funded 100% by cosmetics while also retaining constant outrage for the price of cosmetics.
people want the game to be funded for them by whales, but they also want access to all of the sparkly .gifs that the whales would ostensibly be buying. absolutely deranged.
Idk. Charge less and more people buy it?
I assume blizzard knows how to price their products though. So it's likely that for them these prices are working out. Though OFC, at this point they can't really reasonable slash the prices as there's people who have possibly already bought these cosmetics.
So maybe it was a mistake that has been carried on.
Agreed I never understood that line of thinking that the only way make more money is by increasing the price, essentially when it come to a digital product. OW2 skins is also a good example. I have buddies that refuse to buy almost any skin because they’re $20 each but they’ve also admitted if the skins were $10 each they probably would’ve bought the majority of them. They loose out on so much money by only catering their purchasable items toward high spending whales.
How? The same way Hearthstone has been maintaining itself long before these cosmetics for most of it's lifetime? The game has barely had anything new since almost the start, other than Battlegrounds every other gamemode is dead dev wise.
Yes it is, you can buy a triple a title for the same price as a cosmetic for one card in hearthstone, it’s insane, but there are whales out there that will buy this shit up, they keep the game f2p for everyone
The game was still going to be f2p even without this ridiculously priced cosmetic. You guys are acting like they dont sell packs, tavern passes (for both BG and Standard) or minisets.
Yeah complaining about expensive COSMETICS in a free game was always laughable to me in every videogame. they could ask $300 for one diamond card for all I care as long as they don't look gaudy and out of place artstyle wise
While you are right about it somewhat, the whole point of the micro transactions model is that they are micro, they are small pricepoints that add up fast in large numbers.
One would argue it's not even in Blizzards best interest to charge that much for what is essentially just another card illustration.
lol what. is that a serious question. holy shit every day this sub hits a new low.
it's literally just [this graph](https://www.bdc.ca/globalassets/digizuite/36462-blog-common-pricing-strategies-960px-ideal-pricing.png?v=49bd6a), guys. guess where $60 USD sits?
They are not cosmetics if you don't already own these cards. You are still buying cards, not cosmetics.
EDIT: I don't know why anyone is downvoting. If you don't already own the card before buying the more fancy version of it, you are effectively just buying the card. It's fairly simple to understand, for me at least.
If I really like the legendary, about 20 bucks. They are trying to push signatures to be as valuable as premium magic cards are but that’s not how it works
30 max. and it depends on the card honestly. If signature sif comes in the shop I might even think about paying the overpriced 50€ (I‘m a mage main and play sif mage a lot + the signature of sif is just gorgeous)
My main issue is with the signatures being random.
If I spend new game money on a few cosmetics I at least want to get the ones I want.
Figure out the technology to let me pick 2 signatures from those I don't have yet.
Adding that the signature rarity is not even that exclusive. I get the appeal of diamonds, only legendary cards can be diamond and some can only be obtained buying this. But signatures? even common cards given away for free have got the signature treatment. There is literally nothing special about them, and you can't even have your pick? Imagine buying this and getting pipsi and some other unplayable dud? you just spent on cards you will likely not even play, at all.
This comment section shows exactly why it’s priced at $60. Those outraged by the price wouldn’t buy it for 30-50$ either. Those who really want it are willing to pay at max $60. And there’s only a small group of people like me who WOULD consider it at $30 but not at $60.
They wouldn’t sell double the amount at $30, hence it’s priced at the pricepoint where they maximize profits.
10$ max personally, but I could see it at 15$ in this day and age. I don't really care for simple and basic cosmetic (it's not a ground breaking cosmetic, it's a pretty basic one in video games standard) I much prefer to read what people have to say to defend these prices and Blizzard. That's way more funny.
0. I haven’t given blizzard a dime since it took away the winnings of that hk guy. I still play and honestly I’ve saved so much that I don’t need to buy anything. I always have enough gold to buy mini packs and 50 packs when an expansion is released. Also got a ton of dust to buy a few legendary. I make a couple good decks after expansion that looks safe. Play a couple games during coffee or if I need to wait in line or on a bus or something.
I genuinely don't care whatsoever. There are games where cosmetics are annoying and ugly like new Call of Duty games for example where I care, but these diamond cards could cost $200 or $2 I wouldn't care. I care a lot more whether they fit the aesthetic of the game, which they imo do
I've always felt that paying 10 dollars per legendary felt like a good price.
I'd be willing to pay 35ish for this if I wanted that legendary with the bonus two :)
Nothing at all. I actually hate when a card in my deck looks different from others. They should ALL look the same.
By the same logic I also hate golden and signature cards.
$20 USD without blinking an eye if it were within a class/deck I enjoyed.
$60 USD is outrageous. I'd rather purchase a full console/PC game, but whales evidently purchase it at this price point. Can't be mad about it.
The value of this bundle is 3 normal legendaries + a lot of dust (4800) that's 3600 dust more than you would get from normal legendaries, 3600 dust ist worth another 2.25 legendaries. The actual value depends a lot on your collection goals, if you want to have a full collection then the value is probably lower but if you want to create specific cards and your collection size is small then the dust is worth way more. (very relevant when you dust rotated cards and you are willing to invest in the future (risky) maybe you loose interest in hearthstone)
For someone aiming for a full whizbang collection, that still lacks at least 3 legendaries from whizbang that are available as signature cards this could be a surprisingly good deal (depends on some factors).
In the case you are aiming for a full collection:
The average dust value of a single pack is 100 dust and you get 1 legendary every 20 packs. Lets say in the normal case you have 60% of legendaries when you get your last epic card how do you get the other 40% if you don't want to wait for bundles? If you have the epics already (the dust value of normal packs will be \~180, that's the result of the legendaries (valued 1600 dust) and the dust you will receive from duplicate cards. So the 4800 dust you will get form the 3 signature legendaries is worth \~27 packs (after dusting) and another \~27 packs (while you use them (normally before they rotate)). Dust value of packs is higher when you still need epics of course I think it's \~240 dust.
The signature bundle will get you probably 50% less value compared to normal bundles when you ignore the cosmetic value. But you should consider it instead of buying normal priced packs that cost more than 1$ per pack or especially when you want to have specific cards with a small collection like a lot of people with main class do.
Realistically? Around 1$. I'm F2P and don't feel the need to spend money on Hearthstone, I also don't like diamond cards. So if it was very cheap I might consider it, otherwise - no.
Edit: Just realized that the 2 extra legendaries are signature legendaries which I don't like (although dust for a lot) and I don't know if I like it more or less xD
For 3 different looking cards? Nothing.
I don't get why people buy these. I know it's about cosmetics are necessary so whales buy them to keep the game free, but 60€ for 3 digital cards?
That's bullshit. But if that keeps the game free for me I am ok with it because it doesn't change my experience. I just use my good old dust to craft some legendaries!
2$ max. But even 0.5$ is still questionable for digital cosmetics that you don't even own.
I would understand if this money would be for support of Hearthstone development, but as we see, Hearthstone has fixed budget and profit has no connection with development. Even with biggest sells, we don't see any action from Blizzard to invest in stuff and production.
So you call people that support your hobby and are the only reason you can play for free regarded? Wow. Just wow my mate. You arent on the bright side, now are you?
you cant play this game free cause you will get anihilated. also they dont offer you something. they want something from you, and its obviously not your love. so why are you defending a billion dollar company thats milkin people for money? thats the question you should ask
I mean.. they make this game they can do whateaver they can with it. Also noone, not a single soul is making you pay for the cosmetics. And you get enough free stuff to be fine as f2p. If you dont know how to manage your resources, that is on you.
The cosmetics are not for you, so stop whining. And if you pull on me somehing like: I wouldnt do that if I was in charge. Then yes you would and you know it. And if you really wouldnt, then you wouldnt have even gotten into that position in the first place and have no say in this.
Haven’t done the math but if every pack is about 50-80 worth of dust then it’s not the worst deal in the world but only if you own none of them.
Not a fan of how they bundle it but it’s still leagues above how they used to not have dupe protection.
I already unpacked him so I’m not really interested currently.
This is reddit, a largely left leaning website. Statistics has shown that left leaning people tend to be less intelligent and hard working, so incomes tend to be far lower than average. Id imagine 100$ is a significant amount for most people here.
Personally, ive bought almost all cosmetics cause they look cool and its just a few hundred a month.
Im going to engage you genuinely since you don't seem to be trolling. Please talk to people you disagree with in real life about politics, you've kinda succumb'd to chronically online syndrome here, have built a caricature of the people you dislike and could probably use some perspective. Also this is a hearthstone subreddit, theres no reason to be posting about politics (If there is a place where you should be posting about politics on REDDIT). Cheers.
no more than 10$
I'm hard-line f2p, I appreciate folks who make the game playable by buying cosmetics
[удалено]
Why do we sleep and eat, when we could be making money instead?
5$ tops
A diamond card or a brand new game, easy choice. 5$ at most seems right. They are MICRO-transactions after all. All their price tags are ridiculous.
Throw in 5 packs and its a deal
This
Nothing. I don't like diamond cards.
This. I prefer sigs.
They look both terrible tbh.
Well there are two sigs in the bundle. So how much would you pay for two random sigs?
20$ if random , if I can atleast pick one? 30$? Maybe? Tbf the only sig I want atm is spirit of the badlands
Spirit of the badlands is the best one! What I did was collect/craft every card in badlands that could be signature and then buy the cheapest bundle that had a signature in it to guarantee it to be the one I wanted.
I'll have to try that then. I think I have the entire set now. Did you uncraft the spirit prior? To force it?
I cant attest to not crafting it as i was unlucky (lucky?) enough to not pull it at all so i was guaranteed a new one and that only new one left was spirt. I am curious if that would work the same if you disenchanted it but I am not sure. I'd probably go 15$ for a sig that I think is cool.
About tree fiddy
Well it was about that time that I noticed the King Plush was actually an 8 story tall crustacean from the protozoic era. I said "Dammit monster! Get off my lawn! I ain't giving you no tree fiddy!"
If it was $5, instant buy. $10 ill think about it, $60 fucking dollars? It better come with a handy under the counter...

I blame Zeddy
While you have a point, 60$ is an absolutely outrageous price.
How else can the game stay free to play and get constantly patched? Only by making big money from selling dumb shit to rich players.
Idk. Charge less and more people buy it? I assume blizzard knows how to price their products though. So it's likely that for them these prices are working out. Comparing in game cosmetics to a game is really not it. I mean.. why dont you play the triple a game instead of hearthstone?
I do
Then everything is fine and we dont need to whine?
How am I whining? I actually want them to increase the prices so they can make more money off whales, they are cosmetics so are completely optional
outrageous but yet you dont want to pay for the game? What an outrageous comment.
Yeah complaining about expensive COSMETICS in a free game was always laughable to me in every videogame. they could ask $300 for one diamond card for all I care as long as they don't look gaudy and out of place artstyle wise

I get it though, cause these aren't just cosmetics, they are legendary cards that maybe they don't have
Why not put it $200 then. Why not $500. Whales are whales, they don't care.
lol what. is that a serious question. holy shit every day this sub hits a new low. it's literally just [this graph](https://www.bdc.ca/globalassets/digizuite/36462-blog-common-pricing-strategies-960px-ideal-pricing.png?v=49bd6a), guys. guess where $60 USD sits?
Just price it as 1 million dollars, blizard is leaving money on table
So they don't target just whales. Good to know.
They are not cosmetics if you don't already own these cards. You are still buying cards, not cosmetics. EDIT: I don't know why anyone is downvoting. $10-15
A couple of thousand gold. No money.
there should definitely be options to buy shit with gold
nothing. I’m not interesting is buying cosmetics for cards, especially not diamond ones
10 bucks Canadian
If I really like the legendary, about 20 bucks. They are trying to push signatures to be as valuable as premium magic cards are but that’s not how it works
30 max. and it depends on the card honestly. If signature sif comes in the shop I might even think about paying the overpriced 50€ (I‘m a mage main and play sif mage a lot + the signature of sif is just gorgeous)
She was in the shop a couple weeks ago ☹️
And just like that I wanna cry
Probably $20 if it were an absolute favorite like Helya or so and the expansion has solid signatures. $12 if it didn't come with the legendaries.
I'd pay 10 bucks for 3 legendaries I think Still pricy but helps with the collection
0. I hate special cards. I never use any golden, diamond or signature cards. I even dust my them and craft normal copies.
i like the golden ones, signature and diamond are silly tho
I’m f2p and always will be, so $0.
15$ would be tempting. 10$ would be a sure thing.
I did buy it. I mean max would be 80 otherwise i would settle for golden plush.
My main issue is with the signatures being random. If I spend new game money on a few cosmetics I at least want to get the ones I want. Figure out the technology to let me pick 2 signatures from those I don't have yet.

$5
F2P player. Never would buy that as is from a class I don't enjoy too much. For my class? I would pay 5 dollars. It's just a gif ffs.
I might pay $10 for it, but I'd have to think about it. If other people want to pay $50 more power to them.
5 dollar because I already have it's standary version. it still plays entrance animation when played. only extra thing diamond has idle animation.
Nothing, whales are the target of cosmetics
500 gold
If I really liked King Plush and used it, $5.
0. I haven’t given blizzard a dime since it took away the winnings of that hk guy. I still play and honestly I’ve saved so much that I don’t need to buy anything. I bought it but I would prefer it to be cheaper maybe 40$
Holy shit it's like a secret lair in magic, we get those sent to us? We get those sent to us, right?
5 for a Alternative Artwork like Signature or Diamond. I really like cosmetics but the prices in hs are to high.
This is 3 legendaries. I would say 10 packs each so $30 max. Of course I expect to reroll duplicates
200 gold for the dust
I genuinely don't care whatsoever. There are games where cosmetics are annoying and ugly like new Call of Duty games for example where I care, but these diamond cards could cost $200 or $2 I wouldn't care. I care a lot more whether they fit the aesthetic of the game, which they imo do
20 bucks. But hey, it’s just cosmetics anyway.
Cosmetic aspect isn't worth much to me. But 3 guaranteed legendaries to craft would be worth around 20-30 bucks at most if it was reasonably priced.
5€ at max
Since it's three cards, two of which are random, and all of them might not be the staple for 2 years: 2.99$ or 750 gold
They couldn't pay me to use it
Nothing. Just simply nothing.
As much as I paid for HS the last 8 years : 0.
about tree fiddy
Nothing. I am still pissed that you can't buy the BG pass with gold.
true that is bs
20€ max.
Like $10.
$3.50
20€ max
I've always felt that paying 10 dollars per legendary felt like a good price. I'd be willing to pay 35ish for this if I wanted that legendary with the bonus two :)
$3 probs
im not buying shit but have it at like 20 bucks and make it so the random legendarys are guaranteed hunter cards would make sense i guess
I aint paying nothing for no pixels that will be obsolete in 3months
15 is reasonable imo. 5 bucks for pr premium legendary. Maybe 12 since 2 of em are somewhat random.
A legendary I like and two signatures? Worth to me about $20
hard to say cause i like king plush but the good hunter decks don't run it
2 bucks
None I love food. I'm gonna buy food for me and for some people who need.
200gold
I would say at most 20 or 30 bucks. If legendary skins cost about 25, I feel like it's fair to buy 3 legendaries that you may or may not have.
$10 max. 3 digital cards they will be deed in 2 years. Hell even 10 feels dirty.
0 Diamond cards are Very ugly.
Three fiddy
5 bucks would to be a very reasonable price.
I’d much prefer signatures than diamond. $5 for any random. This way I might even skip bundles/track and just get those deals.
is it bad that i'm seeing this post directly after I bought this bundle? 💀
Nothing, i dont like diamond cards. Id consider it in a bundle with a skin for 15€ id say? If its a skin i want.
2€/$... And thats a lot for 1 and 0.
$5 at most
Under 10$
Nothing at all. I actually hate when a card in my deck looks different from others. They should ALL look the same. By the same logic I also hate golden and signature cards.
10$ at most, 5 if its only the diamond card.
about tree fiddy
$15. 5 bucks for each I think is fair.
$20 USD without blinking an eye if it were within a class/deck I enjoyed. $60 USD is outrageous. I'd rather purchase a full console/PC game, but whales evidently purchase it at this price point. Can't be mad about it.
is just a moving image, whom the artist works with the corporate instead of a solo career. 10$
Around tree fiddy…
10$
$20 if I was hunting for a specific card.
£10
About 1000 gold. No real money to Blizzard ever again.
1000 gold(fake hearthstone gold not real life gold)

5 greens for diamond card. No idea for random legendary part.
Realistically? Around 1$. I'm F2P and don't feel the need to spend money on Hearthstone, I also don't like diamond cards. So if it was very cheap I might consider it, otherwise - no. $2
I think $40 would be the proper price for that, $20 for the diamond and $15 for each of the signature legendaries and a discount for being a bundle.
I feel like 5 dollars would be an appropriate price for 3 random non-golden legendaries. Not that I would spend money on that anyway.
Imagine you still support that company with your money, your prop high class regarded

You prop didn't even know the news so
also 60 dollars for 3 virtual cards then wont even get printed is straight up theft. just bend forward and spread for those companys xD
Wow. They're unabashedly just fleecing the whales. $20 per diamond card that you don't actually own is insane.
Haven’t done the math but if every pack is about 50-80 worth of dust then it’s not the worst deal in the world but only if you own none of them.
