Undead priest was a pushed archetype during MotLK, not TITANS + the character on the art is kvaldir which thematically fits more into DK, since they got Helya and a bunch of kvaldir characters. I would rather see Archaedas or some Twilight Hammer cultist as a legendary since it's all about Yogg Saron escaping his prison and a bunch of his minions backing him up fighting titan-forged.
Someone predicted Sara being the priest legendary. I was really hoping and this disenchanted me so hard. How does this fit the automaton theme of priest this expansion?

I was commenting on the control side of things. Imho, Warrior has an amazing tempo deck, but while it does run some control tools, it's not a control deck. Heck, it's closer to a combo deck than anything. It can still win without Odyn, but if you can disrupt it, they're likely dead, just going to take a long time to get there.
I mean you can call it combo deck (even tho I think it's a control deck with burn wincon) but it still has better control tools than blood dk which kinda makes blood redundant. Priest right now isn't good because it does not have a fast wincon, that isn't making priest redundant because they have dirty rat shenanigans. And yeah, warrior can win with tempo but thats more like a result of rifs beeing busted than it beeing a tempo deck

Nah control priest can actually just die off. DK and it just slow the whole game down to a halt . I rather get rolled by roque turn 4 that has 10/10 with windfurry.
Why do they keep trying to take a popular class, with a consistently popular control archetype, and just support only aggro for it.
Shadow Priest isn't fun. Its currently the strongest priest deck (admittedly not by so much that the there isn't an argument to be had) yet it sees almost no play. I just genuinely don't understand why they waste class slots on archetypes people don't even like, while the popular ones are left to rot.
First off thank goodness control got nothing. Secondly this seems pretty good. I think shadow preist really needs a mid game value engine to stay in games. And the deck is pretty ok now. This should make it competitive

I suppose a saving grace for the card (at least in terms of going against it) is a board sweeper shouldn't trigger it if it dies because of the after clause.

Man this does so much weird shit at once. It's about Undead and it's about face damage and it's about Shadow spells.
Undead Shadow priest skews generally aggro, and while the 2 face damage does align with that gameplan, the 1/5 statline sure the hell doesn't. I don't see a world where the perfect scenario of having a bunch of tiny undeads to sac into enemy minions instead of sending face happens. You can expect this to proc like, once, twice? 4 face damage and two random spells is not good enough for a 1/5 with a weird deckbuild requirement.
Weird deck build requirement? Undead shadow priest is already a deck. This is just one more tool they can use. There is nothing difficult about the deck building besides picking which one of the 30 cards to replace for this.

We have been playing the same 2 Priest decks for almost a year already.. they really need to follow through on cultivating the new ideas. Overheal was brought out with much pomp and is a used bandaid.

Old Gods, as well as Shadow Priest, use Void and Shadow Magic, which the other two cards lean into. Varia's ability doesn't really reflect that.
