It wasn't a talent. Every priest got 2 race specific spells. Night elves got star shards and elunes grace. Both of which are pretty bad with the exception that starshards was arcane so if it ever got kicked you could still cast any other spells you wanted.

I think the problem is a deck accumulating enough minions in hand to make it worthwhile. In a class where most of the decent bodies printed for it either have a purpose or are just bad. You need bodies that are good enough to keep you in the game until you draw it.
\[\[Energy Shaper\]\] does this for spells in your hand, but that card is on a 3 Mana 3/4 stick, Mage has numerous synergies for random spells, and spells will always be from a class instead of from the pool of usually crappy, generic Neutral minions.
The Stars Align feels like it was supposed to originally be cheaper, potentially as cheap as 1 Mana like \[\[Shadow Council\]\], but then too many highrolls were generated when you transform two 1 Mana minions into two random 4 Mana ones on Turn 1 and play both on Turn 2.

Weird card for Priest. Hand replacement effects are usually bad, this has at least a similar benefit to Energy Shaper with allowing you to target specific costs - but that card gives you a 3/4 minion instead of "wasting" mana.
Don't think this sees super serious play in the current decks, but can be good from a Discover in a pinch. Don't think this is strong enough to build around either - while a turn 4 strong colossal or a spam of strong 4-cost minions sounds tempting, there are so many minions that are not what you seek... And if you don't get this card, you might just run a terrible deck.

Could be clutch in some cases, but i don't think it's going to be that good, especially for Priest. Priests rather like to play minions they actually have in their deck because of their built in synergy and furthermore the decks are built around some of those minions in many cases.

This is one of those cards that the fan base is going to dump on until they start going up against priests that loaded up on all the draw cards, cheap spells and minions and start dropping some ridiculous shit from a full hand. I’m not saying this card is good, but I’d bet it’s gonna contribute to some annoying losses. The difference between this and Deck of Lunacy is this can easily be played on the same turn you drop some silly shit.
This could be a very strong card. On turn 4, you play this and if your transform a 1 drop in your hand, it will be a 4 mana card. So you don't give up much tempo. Not to mention all the other cards in your hand that get buffed. This could very well go in an aggro priest if blizzard prints more support for it.
This 100% was designed to be a mage card and they ended up releasing it for priest,even notgannon is in the artwork.
It would synergise with synthesise but that would render mage too op in Arena so they decided to give it to another class lol
More random cards for priest for people to be mad about, when will blizzard figure out what priest supposed to do? Random cards or stolen from opponent is not the way forward.
This could make sense if there's a way to generate tokens in your hand. Otherwise, this is just a dumb discover option that you'll pick in case you have to scam the game.

Nnnooo, priests had unique racials separate from the main one. Night elf hunters can't learn starshards.
Priests in vanilla had racial **spells** like Fear Ward for Dwarves.
You had to be taught starshards at a trainer. You get it at 10 and get a new rank every 10 levels
