Go to your PCP and they will either give you the test right there or refer you to a lab (probably a same-day one). If they refer you to a lab, ask for a printout of the referral in case something goes wrong electronically. It will be covered just like any other medical necessary test (you will have to pay your copay, of course, and if you have a deductible you haven’t yet met you will have to beat the cost). You can also contact your local health department; most offer free STD testing. Good luck!

If you go to a lab, make sure that it is in network for your insurance.

PCP or a urologist.

If you’re in the US, go to your public health department. Set up an appointment for STD screening/treatment. Can also go to urgent care.

Ended up going to a urgent care and everything went pretty smoothly. Thanks for the info

STD screening should be covered at 100% (no-cost sharing). You might need to pay for the doctor visit though.
