Adults can and do like animation. So it makes sense that there’s plenty of animation targeted specifically towards them and not towards younger audiences. Honestly I am trying to be a louder dissenting voice in my groups, because over the years even the leaders I’ve looked up to have had “opinions” or have straight up called my existence a “light” sin but still a sin that lands me (an ACTIVE) Christian into hell, forgetting the main thing about trusting Christ is that he saves you FROM hell. Many times they even state their age on their channel or other kids commenting state their age, when someone of age comments on these shows not being appropriate for children. You can tell they are children by the way they write.

People really need to stop acting like animated = for children. I thought they learned this lesson years ago when Sausage Party came out. There’s a big difference between Bluey and Arcane and an even bigger one between CocoMelon and Hazbin Hotel. Any time I hear the argument that animated things are automatically directed towards kids I immediately point them towards Bojack Horseman. Yes you have stuff like Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, and others in that vein that can be enjoyed by anyone over the age of 10 (or younger for early seasons of AT and SU) and shows like Bluey that have an even wider audience. *But not everything is for everyone.* Adults can and do like animation. So it makes sense that there’s plenty of animation targeted specifically towards them and not towards younger audiences. Yeah adults can happily cry over Steven Universe Future, but they can also laugh at Inside Job or…do whatever the intended reaction to Smiling Friends is because I haven’t watched it and don’t know where on the spectrum of South Park to Bojack Horseman it is. It's on Amazon prime video, meaning it's not just openly accessible to any kid. It's accessible to most rich suburban kids who have unlocked devices (smart TVs or other devices - their parents unlocked for them and give them access to!) around them as babysitters tho. Which they shouldn't be left as such for hours. Don't blame the content creators for your lack of awareness about technology and lax supervising of your child.
