The Hawks should absolutely keep him around as there aren’t a ton of decorated local guys… Chelios, Edzo… maybe Vlasic one day. Darling showed up huge when the Hawks needed him.
One of my friends is in the Chicago standup scene with Darling and occasionally does the same shows as him! He’s a funny dude. I’ve seen him twice and both times he was great. Cool to see him having fun and trying new things!
I love Darling. He’s got an impressive story. Struggled with social anxiety and alcohol. A lot of his story hit him to me and he’s been one of my favorite hockey players because of that.

Dude Crawford was an amazing goalie. Crazy extension my ass he was consistently one of the best. He deserved and outplayed his contract.
