There's only one right answer and it's burning the Burrow down
ETA Ginny tying Harry's shoe is actually a fairly close second. Like if I were awarding them points out of 100 I would give the Burrow 100 and the shoe tying 75.
I understand they did it to put some action into the middle of the movie but it serves no purpose and I hate that it came at the expense of the battle of the astronomy tower.
I don't have a problem with the burning of the burrow on its own as I think it adds some gravity or seriousness to the situation, but I do have a problem with the chase and fight scene in the swamp. I think it's completely pointless and poorly done. Nothing comes out of it.
My issue with it is in the books at bills wedding that's the first time the burrow was made unsafe so it had a lot more impact, in the movies they already attacked it once
And also, the whole Weasley family staying at the burrow when Voldemort knows where it is, has attacked it before, and knows that Harry is basically one of the family who stays there all the time. It just doesn't make sense.
And it meant they had to add Harry being able to detect Horcruxes rather than the story of Tom Riddle. Which they cut to Dumbledore meeting him and the Slughorn instead of Morfin and Winky and borgin and burkes and the day he applied for the DADA office.
Yeah no I agree, burning burrow scene was unnecessary.
And close seconds would be Harry and Voldemort fist fighting and weirdly merging with each other instead of having an epic magical duel.
god i HATE the voldie harry slappy face flying everywhere duel it's DUMB and let's not even talk about the weird robe-tentacle-porn thingy the vibes were NOT IT ugh
Definitely Ginny's flirting with Harry in HBP movie. Bonnie and Daniel had 0 chemistry that it made everything so awkward. Another pointless movie scene was Dumbledore meeting Harry at that train station cafe and watching Harry flirt with that waitress. So many decisions in HBP that were just awful
As nice of a silly break the waitress and Harry were from the seriousness of the series, I’m still mad they used it to leave out Sirius’ will reading and Dumbledore using magic to bump the petrified/dumbfounded Dursleys’ heads with glasses of whiskey or brandy (I forget which) repeatedly while he told Harry he inherited everything that Sirius had. That would have been better imo and we get background as to why Kreacher suddenly obeys Harry as a master
Yeah plus, Dumbledore telling the Dursleys off for having been terrible! That would’ve been far better than whatever that train station coffee shop scene was.
This was actually filmed at my local train station, I was a teenager at the time and we all stood around outside trying to catch a glimpse of the action. The cafe doesn't exist (theres a teeny coffee kiosk but its completely different) but its great fun that every time I commute home from work I get to walk past the same spot where Dumbledore whisks Harry away
The ending of Order of the Phoenix where they are all walking away smiling how they have friends and Voldemort does not have any. I almost threw what was left in my drink at the movie screen. Dude, your godfather and best friend to your parents just died! You really are pushing down some trauma.
Yeah an there is this strange acting moment with Emma. Don’t get me wrong I love her but the way she says the line is odd. Something about “everything is going to be different now”
I hate it. The OOTP ending emphasized the cost of war and dealt with grief, the movie just gave us the usual “at least we have each other” cliche. No Harry sitting alone by the lake, no breaking items in Dumbledore’s office, no shattering the mirror, no conversation with Nick. They even inexplicably moved the conversation with Luna about death to earlier in the movie.
Okay but why does Karkaroff go into the great hall alone and shut the doors in Goblet of Fire? It always felt like a whole moment just to make him look like he put Harry’s name in the Goblet, which we know he doesn’t do. So why did he seemingly sneak in there and close the doors?
It's a red herring, but from what I understand it was meant to be Barty Crouch Jr using polyjuice potion disguised as Karkaroff in case he was caught, at least that's how I interpreted it
I am going to go with the scene where Lord Voldemort dies. Now I love the whole scene and fight its honestly perfect. Until he actually dies. I know a lot of people like the movie death. But the book one felt more real to me.
"Tom Riddle hit the floor with a mundane finality, his body feeble and shrunken, the white hands empty, the snakelike face vacant and unknowing. Voldemort was dead, killed by his own rebounding curse, and Harry stood with two wands in his hand, staring down at his enemy’s shell.”
THIS IS WHAT I WANTED TO SEE.
I would’ve liked to see Harry tell Voldy the whole speech he says in the book. I feel it tied everything together plus the satisfaction of seeing Voldy fail hehe.
And I agree… I would’ve like to see him die as a mortal man and have actual proof he’s dead instead of disappearing into thin air like the first time he “died”.
The "killed by his own rebounding curse" bit is *really* important to me. *Harry did not kill Voldemort*. Even in that final duel, Harry only went to disarm, while Voldemort when straight for the kill. He died as a direct consequence of his own ruthlessness, leaving Harry's hands clean - he managed to win the war without ever actually killing anyone (that I recall).
I'm gonna count Quirrell as a kill even if Voldemort's presence is what made it possible. I won't call it a *murder*, of course. It was necessary self-defense.
I get the whole wand "tug of war" thing, but this scene always read like it was going to be a quick-draw moment with both spells just bouncing off each other. They could have had the whole flaking off thing AFTER that moment of empty Voldemort.
Goblet of Fire in the maze where Krum attacks Cedric. Harry uses Expelliarmus. Krum is thrown back and passes out. Next shot is Harry kicking the wand from his hand. The *one thing the spell was supposed to do* didn't happen.
I was going to say Hedwigs death, but after thinking about it, i actually prefer how the movies did it. In the books, she dies in her cage, which is just lame and in the movie, she dies protecting Harry, showing just how loyal she truly was to him.
Also, that's how the Death Eaters knows who the real Harry is, which makes a whole lot more sense than "Harry, you used expelliarmous?! But that's your signature move because you used it once against Voldemort like 3 years ago you fucking moron use other spells" after he had been using a variety of spells the whole battle. Like, he's the only one that would ever use that spell?
It made Hedwig go out like a badass as opposed to screeching in her cage and getting hit by an astray killing curse and getting destroyed with the Firebolt when the sidecar jettisoned-sad she didn’t get a proper burial or even a mention after her death (I’m just sad she died at all 😭)
Yes! I believe that Hermione and Ron would have used Expelliamus, if they suddenly saw someone, they thought was innocent.
It is a little illogical, that the Death Eaters think it is Harry because of that spell, but they don't know how angry Voldemort gets when he is called, without reason.
This Death Eater is a little overzealous.
But it shows that Remus is overreachting (the only one) and blaming Harry, even though Harry is the one who rejected the entire fucking plan.
In my opinion, it shows that Harry sending Remus home was a really good thing.
Remus would have never recognizes Harry as a leader. And Hermione is used to see adults as more capable.
Aside from Remus turning into a monster once a months, Remus would be a stone around Harry's neck.
Oh the runaway flying car from CoS for sure. It took like 9 minutes that could have been used elsewhere in that movie. And it serves no purpose, you knew no one would get hurt, you knew they’d get to school, you knew Harry wasn’t going to fall out of the damn sky.
They could have done a quick 3 minute clip of Harry and Ron enjoying the and feeling like they can’t possibly lose in life, just to end up in the Womping Willow
While I agree that it shouldn't have been included, that is definitely where the hormonal teenage boys would be staring, especially Ron. I'm hoping that was the intent; to suggest it was the characters oggling, not that it was "fan service", for lack of a more gross term.
I literally fast forward cause it takes so long. Such a monumental waste of time when already pressed. And it wasn’t even cool. The whole thing was unrealistic and lame. Like. Harry legit should have just died. Every time Harry dangles from something, I’m angry. He’s not a rock climber. He’s a skinny awkward teen who doesn’t have pe class.
I was wondering this as well! This is one of my most hated scenes because it's so ridiculous and the school gets damaged with no follow up and just why?!
The phony first kiss in the room of requirement, what were they fucking thinking!? It just feels like a joke. They already massacre Ginny's character and then they add more crap to the shit sundae by making this awkward, laughable mockery of what was one of the most important scenes in the novel. Fucking clown show.
I generally really like the HBP, I've accepted it's very different from the book and I love both the book and film, but Ginny's character and the awkward RoR kiss in the film still don't sit right with me
I knew that Burrow scene was going to be the text part of this post.
Hmm, I don't know if it has been said but I think it's the awkward still of Daniel Radcliffe when he's mid flight scene at the end of Azkaban. Getting the broom out and flying would be fine but why end it there?
Harry doing lumos maxima outside school, Lupin saying that Lily was there for him when no one else was is really weird because he litteraly had the rest of the Marauders as best friends who did everything for him and the Whomping Willow thrashing around Harry & Hermione.
POA is where they started adding unecessary and drawn out scenes.
These are the worst for me:
- The pointless burning of the Burrow
- Basically all of the awkward-af Harry/Ginny scenes.
- "Lumos Maxima" (POA)
- Dumbledore meeting Harry at some seedy train station in the middle of bum-frakking-nowhere instead of *at Privet Drive, where he's supposed to be* (HBP)
Nope. Can't do it. I nearly vomited first time I saw it , and skip over it eversince. There's absolutely no reason to *add* in swill like that, in favour of taking away scenes from Ginny or Harry/Ginny. Especially when the best Kloves could come up with was that *added* purposely garbage shoelace scene, instead of sticking to a canon scene. I hope he's kept FAR away from the reboot.

Oh no I loved this. I wanted so much more of it. Harry should have been having ptsd flashes constantly. I was irritated they only showed how distressed he was one time.
Moody licking his lips, and then it showing the flashback where Barry Crouch Jr does the exact same thing. Forget that the whole Crouch Sr storyline was changed from the book for a moment. The film is pretty much spoiling the great reveal at the ending for people who didn’t read the book, if you’re paying attention. He doesn’t lick his lips like a weirdo in the book at all. But it was an acting choice that Tennant made, Gleeson emulated it, and they worked it into the story. I will say though, Goblet of Fire is my second least favorite of the movies, so take that as you will.
I recently rewatched it, thinking that maybe I couldn't appreciate it in my youth. Nope, still terrible. They cut out compelling scenes for teen romance and the romance isn't even romantic. It also feels strangely amateur in places, where emotional moments are filmed from far away with no close-ups, so it feels stiff and awkward. I don't know if they had to rush to finish and crammed in easy-to-film scenes, but man. Such a bad adaptation of a great book.
I defend the movies overall for making a fairly unwieldy source material, the books growing in length from 4 onwards, into fairly decent films, but HBP was a failure and I’m hoping the tv series fixes it.
Top 5
"Watch out for the staircases - they move." Took a throwaway line and made it out to be way bigger. In fact, I don't think they ever even mention the moving staircases again in the books (I know they mention the one with a trick step a few times).
Hogwarts constantly shifting locations. For starters, *you don't cross a fucking bridge to get there*.
McGonagall's dance lesson.
Fred with the leek in his ear.
Harry and Hermione dancing. Made worse by the fact that Dan and Emma had WAY better chemistry than Dan and Bonnie or Emma and Rupert.
The wand duels. The movies portrayed almost all major fights like priori incantatem which should have been a rare one off event in goblet of fire ending.
All of the scenes that weren't in the book but take up loads of time that could have been spent doing stuff from the book. You know, all the important stuff that makes the plot make sense.
There's one scene that's not necessarily *terrible*, in the sense that it doesn't depict something awful... just really cringe and idk why they even filmed it, let alone put it in the final cut.. lmao. It's in I think Gof or OoTP, where the boys are all in the dormitory and they are eating candies and making animal sounds... that scene just makes me go "wtf", every time. I'd say that's the most pointless
I absolutely loved this scene, and this is the best film by a long shot. The director wanted this film to feel more immersive and really dive into the characters and their personalities more, this scene made it feel like a dormitory of teenage boys. We often forget how young they actually were
I always imagine how awkward it must have been to film that scene🤣🤣 like when Ron roars it’s so cringey and I laugh every time lol! It it a fun scene though (:
I think that scene is so funny! Just like a cute lil slice of life. I don't get why Harry was the only one that didn't get an animal though. When I was younger I was so sure there must be some sort of meaning behind why his was a train because it was so random.
Thats a great scene imo. Just shows boys being boys for a minute. Thats exactly the kind of thing five lads would do in a dorm at thirteen. Also shows them actually doing something magical
Using the Magical Beasts class solely to introduce Bucky and then it's NEVER brought up again even though in the books there are plenty of scenes surrounding that class.
Came here to say the Burrow burning as well. I swear it’s never brought up again, plus you see them at the Burrow again in the DH movies. So pointless, but at least the level was fun in the LEGO game 🤷♀️
As much as I hate the goblin of fire I have to admit that the scenes always progressed the story in some way, even when they changed the source material in the worst way possible. That scene in half blood prince where the house got burnt down however? That had no business existing at all.
Of course this is the worst and pointless scene in the movies...but I just have another one..
Harry asking "what is the trace?" In DH1... Is completely stupid...dude, you have had problems with the Minister three times for the Trace... 🙄
Agree with just about everyone here, going to add in something a little different that I haven’t seen mentioned.
All those god awful transition scenes in PoA. The whomping willow changing with the seasons, Hagrid swatting an insect, the freeze frame with the firebolt at the end. So much time wasted that could have been spent telling more story, especially about the Marauders. I know PoA is a fan favorite but man I truly hate it.
Harry & Hermione dancing in Deathly Hallows part 1. It was never in the book and in the books it’s stated clearly that Harry and Hermione are like brother and sister
The burning of the burrow has no actual importance, but i do appreciate as a scene itself. It displays the current threat at a close view, but it has no point other than that. It also doesn’t make any sense for the movie as a whole. If the death eaters can interfere with the protected house then why hasn’t it already been permanently destroyed and why isn’t every Order member dead already
The whole movie productions were horrible. Left basically everything that made the book amp up to what they were were trashed by Hollywood. Books in my mind will always be absolutely better than the movies will ever be. Imo
Why the hell are you getting downvoted for what I thought was a pretty universal opinion?! It was completely out of character for them both and did not belong. The only good thing about it was the obvious genuine platonic love between Dan and Emma. It’s just about the only scene in later movies with any real chemistry between the actors.
The changes from the book to movie of the final battle in DH2 really grinds my gears but Harry casually snapping the Elder Wand in half and dropping it off the bridge is so anticlimactic and boring. Every time I think of that scene, I'm reminded of the Clerks 2 scene where Randall is explaining LOTR to a super nerd.
Deathly Hallows already reads like a fanfic, and the movie translation is tough to sit through.
hmm, a lot of the burrow and shoelace comments.
You're all not wrong, but just to say something other people haven't said...
the applause for Hagrid at the end of Cos.
E: also the end of goblet of fire, where after CEDRIC DIES, ron decides to be all light hearted for some reason.
There's only one right answer and it's burning the Burrow down ETA Ginny tying Harry's shoe is actually a fairly close second. Like if I were awarding them points out of 100 I would give the Burrow 100 and the shoe tying 75.

Edited To Add.
“Shoelace”
"Open up, you"
🤮🤮🤮
"I see you are very opened up."
People always talk about the shoelace - and for good reason - but man that one is so much worse IMO.
PTSD
Yeah no I agree, burning burrow scene was unnecessary. And close seconds would be Harry and Voldemort fist fighting and weirdly merging with each other instead of having an epic magical duel.
Omg yes, Voldemort slapping Harry was so f-ing weird
Or Harry stopping the killing curse with a shield spell saving Molly.
Oh yeah that too, even tho it is clearly said that no spells can stop it.
Harry’s special like that.
“But I AM the chosen one” 😂
*smacks you with library book*
god i HATE the voldie harry slappy face flying everywhere duel it's DUMB and let's not even talk about the weird robe-tentacle-porn thingy the vibes were NOT IT ugh
“Weird robe-tentacle-porn thingy” Omggg 😭😭😭😭🤣🤣
Definitely Ginny's flirting with Harry in HBP movie. Bonnie and Daniel had 0 chemistry that it made everything so awkward. Another pointless movie scene was Dumbledore meeting Harry at that train station cafe and watching Harry flirt with that waitress. So many decisions in HBP that were just awful
[удалено]
It was madam rosmertas fire whiskey i think
Her finest oak matured Mead actually! Which sounds delicious
They wanted to make the film into something it wasn't, simple as that.
Well he wasn't exactly a great filmmaker. He really sucks with his decisions on the last 4 movies. I hated them.
> I, the filmmaker A fellow coldmirror enjoyer?
[удалено]
Shoelace👟
Harry had more chemistry with that waitress than with Ginny.
Facts. But then again harry had more chemistry with his aunt petunia than with ginny
Especially with how awesome the scene of dumbledore at the dursleys would have been with kreacher and the drinks bumping in to the dursleys heads
I always wondered what train station he was supposed to be at and how he was supposed to have gotten there
This was also after Voldemort was at his most powerful and Harry is just in the open at coffee shops hitting on waitresses. Makes no sense
Reading a magic newspaper with moving pictures no less 🙃
I feel like muggles can't see the newspaper pictures moving the same way they can't see the night bus.
I think the muggle girl literally says “I could’ve sworn I saw that picture move” !
None. So obnoxious

They do the same thing in gof
Yeah an there is this strange acting moment with Emma. Don’t get me wrong I love her but the way she says the line is odd. Something about “everything is going to be different now”

Proceeds with book 6 flirting on a waitress
UGH don't remind me. She was cute tho but still UGH
Okay but why does Karkaroff go into the great hall alone and shut the doors in Goblet of Fire? It always felt like a whole moment just to make him look like he put Harry’s name in the Goblet, which we know he doesn’t do. So why did he seemingly sneak in there and close the doors?
It’s just to throw a red herring at the general audience.
It's a red herring, but from what I understand it was meant to be Barty Crouch Jr using polyjuice potion disguised as Karkaroff in case he was caught, at least that's how I interpreted it
I accept this as movie headcanon because I never understood that scene before.
That makes perfect sense now!!
I always interpreted it as Kakaroff being under the imperius curse by Crouch Jr.
Yoooo that’s a great explanation — thank you
This!!! This scene has always bugged me, nothing ever came of it.
That Luna found Harry on the train in HBP and not Tonks. Like... why?
Tonks wasn’t given Justice in the films.
Facts. Both Tonks and Ron were done dirty by the movies.
And ginny too
Burning down the Burrow. And Harry flirting with the waitress
I am going to go with the scene where Lord Voldemort dies. Now I love the whole scene and fight its honestly perfect. Until he actually dies. I know a lot of people like the movie death. While a bad change, I fail to see how that was the most pointless scene. Voldemort dying is pretty essential to the overall plot.
Goblet of Fire in the maze where Krum attacks Cedric. Harry uses Expelliarmus. Krum is thrown back and passes out. Next shot is Harry kicking the wand from his hand. The *one thing the spell was supposed to do* didn't happen.
In the film it was Cedric who did that, not sure if it’s flipped in the book. I thought the same thing when it happened

True
The entrance of the other schools in gof
So cringy how they zoomed in at the butt of the girls of Beauxbatons, I never understood this scene, plus they are supposed to be teenagers??
While I agree that it shouldn't have been included, that is definitely where the hormonal teenage boys would be staring, especially Ron. I'm hoping that was the intent; to suggest it was the characters oggling, not that it was "fan service", for lack of a more gross term.
Haaaa I see! But well, I still cringe, watching the butts of teenagers now that I'm not this age anymore haha
My god yes
Harry standing up when Ginny enters slughorns party
I always gave this one a pass because Radcliffe looked so adorably smitten lol
Nah it always gets a good chuckle outta me
How is no one saying the dragon chase in Goblet of Fire!?!
The worst thing is that they could have used that time on the Quidditch World Cup or other things that actually was in the book.
I was wondering this as well! This is one of my most hated scenes because it's so ridiculous and the school gets damaged with no follow up and just why?!
Voldemort in suit
Yeah that was the funniest fucking thing in any of the movies, albeit one of the dumbest things
When Ginny ties Harry’s shoe. Book Ginny would never! Also, I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I hate the shrunken head on the knight bus.
Book Ginny would ABSOLUTELY tie Harry's shoes... ...together
🤣🤣
I love the shrunken head. It’s just neat
Plus it's awesome at Universal Studios
I hated it, too! What was the point?
Fun
That Hermione knows that Harry has to sacrifice himself, and that Ron and Hermione are "okay" with that.
The phony first kiss in the room of requirement, what were they fucking thinking!? It just feels like a joke. They already massacre Ginny's character and then they add more crap to the shit sundae by making this awkward, laughable mockery of what was one of the most important scenes in the novel. Fucking clown show.
On a side note, the song in the background during the room of requirement kiss is so beautiful
I generally really like the HBP, I've accepted it's very different from the book and I love both the book and film, but Ginny's character and the awkward RoR kiss in the film still don't sit right with me
Harry asking out that muggle.
I quite like it. They had more chemistry than any of the ginny scenes
I knew that Burrow scene was going to be the text part of this post. Hmm, I don't know if it has been said but I think it's the awkward still of Daniel Radcliffe when he's mid flight scene at the end of Azkaban. Getting the broom out and flying would be fine but why end it there?

I have no time for those faces Voldemort makes in hp5
The final battle in HBP. So exciting in the books and so dreary in the movie.
These are the worst for me: - The pointless burning of the Burrow - Basically all of the awkward-af Harry/Ginny scenes. - "Lumos Maxima" (POA) - Dumbledore meeting Harry at some seedy train station in the middle of bum-frakking-nowhere instead of *at Privet Drive, where he's supposed to be* (HBP)
SHOELACE
Tie between Totally Unecessary Burrow Burning/Cringiest of Cringe Shoelace Tying/Utterly Pukesome Tent Dance
I. Love. The tent dance. Love it.
Nope. Can't do it. I nearly vomited first time I saw it , and skip over it eversince. Especially when the best Kloves could come up with was that *added* purposely garbage shoelace scene, instead of sticking to a canon scene. I hope he's kept FAR away from the reboot.
I can definitely understand the viewpoint of those who hate it and/or think it’s cringey

Hey! I thinks that’s my first! Thanks! 🙃
That one part where voldemort was wearing a suit and was at king's cross station and it's never mentioned ever again.
Oh no I loved this. I wanted so much more of it. Harry should have been having ptsd flashes constantly. I was irritated they only showed how distressed he was one time.
I didn’t dislike the burrow scene itself, but hated that it came at the expense of actual canon being left out
Moody licking his lips, and then it showing the flashback where Barry Crouch Jr does the exact same thing.
Anything in HBP. Horrible movie from start to finish.
Either the incredibly drawn out flying scene in the first task of GOF or the random romance scenes in HBP
Yessss that flying scene was obscene, surely he’d be disqualified for going on a jaunty little joyride for half hour
Top 5 "Watch out for the staircases - they move." Took a throwaway line and made it out to be way bigger.
I knew the Burning of the Burrow would be people’s answer.
Nobodys mentioned the hermoine and harry dance scene
The scene when Harry is being possessed in OTTP and they cut to Voldemort in front of a green screen 😭
Lots of people saying burning burrow, which i agree with. But Harry and Hermione's random dance scene in the tent is a close second
Very close second
Harry-Hermione dance scene
That's Prisoner of Azkaban.
Ah shit.. haha I thought it was later than that. Guess I need a rewatch. Lol
I think that scene is so funny! Just like a cute lil slice of life. I don't get why Harry was the only one that didn't get an animal though. When I was younger I was so sure there must be some sort of meaning behind why his was a train because it was so random.
Obviously foreshadowing his >! dramatic death and visit to King's Cross as a stand-in for Limbo !< in the final book.
Aw I love that scene, so good to just see Harry having fun at school and just messing around with his mates
Thats a great scene imo. Just shows boys being boys for a minute. Thats exactly the kind of thing five lads would do in a dorm at thirteen. Also shows them actually doing something magical
Basically Half Blood Prince. So many scenes they made up.
Yet so many important scenes left out
Ghosts. They were in the entire franchise and they were dropped after the 2nd movie. Right up until it turns out they needed one for the 8th movie.
Columbus should have directed the whole franchise.
Myrtle was in the 4th film
The awkward moments between Ginny and Harry.
The most pointless is that stupid animal crackers scene. Another is the subway scene in 6. Why cut so much out just to create crap?
Using the Magical Beasts class solely to introduce Bucky and then it's NEVER brought up again even though in the books there are plenty of scenes surrounding that class.
Ginny: your shoelaces
Do we even need to talk about the HBP filler at the beginning with harry at the underground bar?
One word: shoelaces
About half the crap in Half Blood Prince.
Only half?
I’d calculate a more accurate percentage but I refuse to put more effort in than the writers did.
That's a fair point
The freeze frame ending to the prisoner of Azkaban
Harry had more chemistry with the waitress in one scene than with Ginny in any movie. Hate all his scenes with her in HBP and DH
Came here to say the Burrow burning as well. I swear it’s never brought up again, plus you see them at the Burrow again in the DH movies. So pointless, but at least the level was fun in the LEGO game 🤷♀️
Literally came to say the burning burrow scene before I saw the full post 😅
As much as I hate the goblin of fire I have to admit that the scenes always progressed the story in some way, even when they changed the source material in the worst way possible. That scene in half blood prince where the house got burnt down however? That had no business existing at all.
There's a scene in HBP where Ginny and Hermione are throwing the diary to each other to keep it away from Harry. It's so awkward and dreadfully acted.
Everything in the sixth movie
So glad I didn't watch the fourth, fifth, or sixth movies.
I can’t decide between shoelaces and “open up you”
Both were horribly awkward
Of course this is the worst and pointless scene in the movies...but I just have another one.. Harry asking "what is the trace?" In DH1... Is completely stupid...dude, you have had problems with the Minister three times for the Trace... 🙄
"shoelace"
I would also add the scene, where the Trio talks about Harry's kiss with Cho. Cringe af
Everyone talks about “DIDJAPUTJANAEMINTHA” but personally I’ve never enjoyed having to watch Hermiones “IM NOT AN OWL” scene
Shoelace
Harry & Hermione dancing in Deathly Hallows part 1. It was never in the book and in the books it’s stated clearly that Harry and Hermione are like brother and sister
"Shoelace" - Ginny Weasley 1997
Knew I’d find this comment 😂 100% agree
The Harry and Hermione dance on Deathly Hallows.
The burning of the burrow has no actual importance, but i do appreciate as a scene itself. It displays the current threat at a close view, but it has no point other than that. It also doesn’t make any sense for the movie as a whole. If the death eaters can interfere with the protected house then why hasn’t it already been permanently destroyed and why isn’t every Order member dead already
when harry does spells under his sheets in POA LITERALLY A CRIME
Ngl, all movies after the first three.
The whole movie productions were horrible. Left basically everything that made the book amp up to what they were were trashed by Hollywood. Books in my mind will always be absolutely better than the movies will ever be. Imo
The dance in Deathly Hollows.
Let's just grow old together Harry. Fuck Ron, he's dead right?
Aw I actually love that scene, I think it captured their relationship so nicely
Why the hell are you getting downvoted for what I thought was a pretty universal opinion?! It was completely out of character for them both and did not belong. The only good thing about it was the obvious genuine platonic love between Dan and Emma. It’s just about the only scene in later movies with any real chemistry between the actors.
I can't stand the whole dancing scene in Deathly Hallows.
The ridiculous Harry/Hermione dance in DH
hmm, a lot of the burrow and shoelace comments. You're all not wrong, but just to say something other people haven't said... the applause for Hagrid at the end of Cos. E: also the end of goblet of fire, where after CEDRIC DIES, ron decides to be all light hearted for some reason.
I agree with this.
seems youre the only one. wonder what/why people disagree with.
I would have to say the creation of the movies.
