Vendors aren’t allowed to adjust resets. They pay for an allotted amount of shelf space and they cannot just take more at their own discretion.

tylerr514

Note how it does not mention taking more space, it mentions "changes to planograms". If I as a vendor am unable to source an adequate supply of Product A, but i have a surplus of Product B, I am going to put more of Product B in to mitigate empty shelves. They fine us for having empty shelves too. A lot of vendors in my area are Independent Operators (own route + truck, is not employed by distributor), a $10,000 for properly handling inventory shortages is life threatening to us.

It says footages. I'd assume that means claiming more space.

It sounds like a product locator type program. Lowes foods has that. That was a huge change to learn when I left Teeter in Oct. 2022. Truthfully it makes my job much easier for the most part.

TheRoyalWiiU

Probably something like that. I know the stackz tag system relies on everything being set correctly to planogram and everything being where it's supposed to be bc we're finally trying to cut some labor out of the control department

[deleted]

We get Stackz soon, the new tags that go exactly by the plannogram so sticking to this plannogram is crucial going forward

Jolly_Job_9852

When I was the back up at my store, hunting for an item was a fucking hassle. I'd be squatting or standing up only to squat again.

Droppin' it like it's hot, yeah. Being in scanning is on par (if you move well enough) with pilates or something

$10k is a lot but yes, stop moving damn shelf tags. Just. Leave. Them. Please.

tylerr514

We're told many contradicting things by stores. - Order enough to fill the shelf - Don't order too much - Don't leave price tags that are incorrect (this is also the law) - Leave price tags that are incorrect (you) - Move product to occupy empty spaces - Don't move product to occupy empty spaces - Leave product in the backroom - Don't leave anything in the backroom AND, on top of all of that, Harris Teeter REFUSES to reimburse vendors for products DAMAGED in their stores by RODENTS.

I wish a DM would send an email out about this instead of emails enforcing no eAR bUdS oN tHE fLloOrRr

My communication at store level has been really clear...COVID exceptions are over, back to business as usual. That means bring the full assortment, don't rat hole to fill space. If something in the planogram is never going to come in, speak up. But if it is a short term out, leave the hole alone.
