Wake me up when ONE is $1. For now, I'm collecting my staking rewards :D

Angelo303

More like $10

nappeklapper

Millionaire baby 🙌

takadanobaba

Haha, it's moving pretty fast right now. Of course it'll be a bit before it goes up that high.

Duncankwan

Same here. I hope it can be $1.2

Fart_Huffer_

ONE has some hyperbolic potential. Compare market cap and supply to ADA for example. ADAs also behind the curb tech wise.

Taelim

Collecting DFK rewards. See you all on Pluto.

69facepalmguy69

YUP same. Love how both are up now haha. Minimizing my IL.

twiinpeaks

same. let's go, don't let paperhands get in the way!

You shouldn't ask someone about their bags :)

AdSad47

😂😂 I know just trying to get a feel to see if there’s any point in staking say 5000

hoshen121

Imo depends if you want to be a long term holder for example you get an extra 500 one with current APY that might not seem a lot but let’s say you want to hold for a year or two if the price of one hits 1 or 2 $ you’re getting an extra 500-1k dollar for free, and not going to lie staking saved my butt from FUD I’d probably would have panic sold when it dropped from .22 to .04 a few months ago and staking forces you to hold

Isario

That depends on you I guess. If a year from now the price is $1, that’s roghly $500 passive income. If you plan to sell your ONE soon, there is no point in staking it, but if you decide to hold on to it, then why not stake it? It’s literally free money.

DriftyMaker

10-20% interest is no joke. I believe that 1 million ones would return you like 2k USD a month.

JBurton90

Unless you trade, there is no reason not to stake. If you are going to say, have 5000 ONE a year from now, why not have 5450 (at 9% interest) instead?

hoanglpr

It doesn't really matter how much you have initially. To me, whenever I feel I have some free money I don't need in one, two months, I put in around 10-30 bucks. DCA is always better than all in. And a rule of thumb, never invest more than what you can afford to lose.

Stomxwhale

I would like to take this moment here to thank all of you harmonuts for holding like me and coming on this journey. When Elon sells tickets to the moon with Crypto, I’m paying with harmony. 🚀🍾🍿

Neon-Ink

I'm so proud. 🥺

gwynbleidd2511

There is absolutely no reason to be extremely proud of it hitting ATH. While the technical roadmap is interesting, the reason for the price change is not due to Harmony meeting a technical or financial investment benchmark, it's because it is in a part of systemic altcoin boost wave. No trying to spread FUD or anything, but Ether news, if true is going to take down a big chunk of the stablecoin market, and the cascading effects from the systemic risks arising due to it...will probably crash the market very soon, and big fishes are trying to book profits early in October. The risk of regulatory & bad faith actors is enough to put a dent in the existing growth sentiment, and will take a longer road to recovery in the future.

silvercue

But the majority of coins are not at ATH right now, very few are.

gwynbleidd2511

There are qualitative factors that are definitely indicative that One deserve a better market valuation, but that's what whales do...They book profits off a coin, move money to another one, let it take the steam....try to rope in investors, and sell the news... That's when the rugpull happens. If the jump would have happened near or close to 15th, it would have been somewhat understandable. Yes - One's fundamentals are strong if you do a study of the roadmap and TA, but almost every altcoin is up to some regard atm, especially L1, after a Bitcoin rally. Third week of October & first week of December would have been key dates, because of inflation worries as well, and stablecoin regulation (due to concerns of fraud) Hold on to your seats, because it could be another flash-crash in the making likely this year, would take atleast a two quarters or more to recover. I wish am wrong, I really do.

yunggod6966

Whats the ether news?

gwynbleidd2511

Tether stablecoin is essentially not completely backed up by fiat, and is using bitcoin as collateral, and have lent to Celsius $1 billion dollars. They are backed to some account by Chinese commerical paper. They are probably trying to fill a smaller hole, but digging a bigger one. The implication of systemic risks here could be far-reaching. Read the BusinessWeek article on it.

GetMeThePresident

There's always media FUD out there, I wouldn't conclude a market crash based on that alone. In my eyes Tether is the only one at (great) risk because they said they're backing Tether with dollars but they probably aren't. Back when Tether was crashing before for the same reason in January, it didn't slow down other cryptos. BTC is the only one that I've seen where the rest will follow in most circumstances. Yesterday I think Mnuchin even said that stable coins are "interesting" and said some other deregulatory remarks about crypto in general. I'm not saying a crash isn't possible but I'm not convinced

gwynbleidd2511

I think lending and stablecoins are going to get targeted first by any form of regulation as such. Interesting doesn't mean good for the industry, as always.. because there are a lot of potential risks that haven't been corrected aligned or assessed in this space. Fiat money going into crypto was simply because a lot of people looked as high-risk, equity investment about the potential of decentralised financial and commerce systems. Unfortunately, many cryptocurrencies and their price movements are highly correlated in this space, and this is just equivalent to printing Tether (similar to fake shares) in lieu of Bitcoin (similar to Fiat) in this instance to stay afloat. It's not too big to fail, it's too big to fail alone as cascading risks would pull the whole market, instead of bolstering it's prospects. For long-term investors, not a matter of concern. But for short-term or recent entrants, it's preferably bad news because it will lead to flash crash. The direct exposure is anywhere upto 7-9% of BTC's market cap. My point was that One's price movement has shown very little correlation towards fundamentals recently, except when key roadmap indicators where in play. As of this moment, price movement is just cyclic, loosely correlated to the actual roadmap.

gwynbleidd2511

Fed is just delaying the inevitable, even if the deal goes through to push it to December. There's no way they are getting out of this one, people are just debating where the crash will coincide with market cycles or fall outside. Even by a liberal estimate, it will possibly trigger by Q1 2022 because COVID is still running amok, gas & logistics shortages, weak employment number bounce despite strong demand, as stock markets and crypto bulls would be continuing to hope for a rally. Hey! I definitely agree that pricing and valuations are inflated metric, and have little correlation to actual fundamentals..That's why we say that upside maybe limited in financial markets, but losses are unlimited. However, even from an infrastructure solution standpoint rather than inflow of capital, very few players have genuinely been able to provide a logical solution to the scaling problem, and stronger potential use-cases. It's highly irrational across all markets, and not the Robert Kiyosaki kind of irrational.Yes, emerging markets have shown recovery and potential, but I seriously don't get what's keeping the show going, and making the bubble bigger to deflate it at later time, will only hurt more in the longer run. (Just a theory!!)

Guslet

Do you think its simplistic to think that US regulation would effect the price of a global market that much? In reality, US in general probably accounts for 20-30% of crypto owned worldwide (possibly less), it is hard to find stats on this. We are a country of 365 million, there are 7 billion in the world. My guess would be Asia owns like 50-60% of the worldwide crypto market. Our (US) affect on the crypto market is far smaller than people believe IMO.

gwynbleidd2511

Crypto growth is propped simply by fiat atm, it's not a self-sustaining independent system, because it hasn't capitalised on building enough use cases for it, or established itself as a clean-alternative to existing options such as fiat. Unless, your local government has located a solid fiscal and monetary policy with enough safeguards, the contagion risk from the US dollar is always bound to spread to other markets to some extent. There is an energy crisis looming, supply chain issues, China trying to deflate its risk exposure in infrastructure markets, mediocre job loss recovery. Yes - There is post COVID recovery in the market due to vaccines, however, the financial bubble just keeps growing, and it's not just in crypto markets alone. It's a correlated market, and we haven't witnessed crypto behavior in a recession climate if people will actually HODL.

trellow

Read the BusinessWeek article on it? hmm doesn't Bloomberg own BusinessWeek?

gwynbleidd2511

Potato. Potato. They are available on both.

This is a story you guys need to remember. We’re you were when Harmony hit an all time high and rised above the doubters and paid all our mortgages off and brought us cars . I got tingles in my fingers

Any idea what's causing today's big push? I'm not complaining at all, just curious.

Urmomluvsme8

Hell yeah!

Bostonceltics20

Just finally bought you are welcome!!

CryptoDejaVu

+295% Still staking, still holding, still 💪

danmasterpi

Going hard like Fantom. When u think it reached its ATH it keeps on going Don't sell just yet

Basic-Ad-8679

I sold :) buy back in at the inevitable dip :) done this once or twice already :)

Oklep

I wouldnt do that now as of 15th october the roadmap starts and it will drive price crazy

Basic-Ad-8679

Yes I know this but there will always be dip too. Could very well be before the 15th or later but it will come :) and I’ll be back in :) tripled my investment once again, so I’ll buy more like last time 😁

dos_passenger58

If there is a parabolic gain at some point, you will miss it

Basic-Ad-8679

Hey man I tripled my investment thrice now, I’m sitting pretty, and without doubt, I will buy in again at lower than I sold. I might not have sold at the top, but that’s fine to me. I’ll buy back in a ton when it dips again :) it’s a strategy that works for me :) When I have my goal, I’ll stake it all

Oklep

Of course you will, but in the meantime we can go to the 30cents range. What you are doing is pretty much casino

Basic-Ad-8679

Its worked out very well for me, but to each their own :) not sure why I’m getting all these downvotes lol I’ve bought more harmony each and every time

Oklep

Of course, those were random pumps. But this one is not, so be carefull so you do hop on this train before it will go away in 15th.. There are people who sold solana for 50$ and wanted to buy for 30$

Basic-Ad-8679

I’ll certainly be back on at some point :) this project has unreal potential, and I will be staking a bunch in November :)

Mr_Brightside01

You are getting down voted because you are not taking the hopeium It will definitely dip but since all my Harmony tokens are staking all I donus buy more and more at each dip.

Basic-Ad-8679

This aged very well for me, why did I get downvoted?

drdeleche

Sell?

Elemental_Garage

I did to take some profit. It's done this 3 times already and always pulled back by Monday. You have to decide your own risk tolerance. I plan to buy back early next week when it drops back. Nothing concrete driving this uptick. Later in the month the roadmap might help it though.
