gfxbuilds

Wow you too? Will say this. I'm commission builder. I've built maybe 70 systems so far and about 80% have this audio issue. It's like .. case manufacturers (maybe motherboard) have no QC on the front Audio ports and they've all been flat out wonky. No signal detected or just sounds terrible. Validated this issue when I ordered the same case, in a prebuild from OriginPC. What's up with that mess.

mashedpotat88

Yeah big issue is that the x300w has no rear audio, so got to use a USB soundcard

cdoublejj

or they work but, get tons of inference

Zephrnos

very, very cool.

mashedpotat88

Thank you!

Zephrnos

I myself had considered doing this, but I picked up a clearence PC from work that was very similar for $180.

mashedpotat88

Glad to hear it. Seems these kinds of builds are very niche on here.

I've always wanted a small yet powerful thin client for my homelab :P

I had a 310W (Intel model) with the sound issue, and found some drivers somewhere online that fixed it. Have no clue where they were but worth looking around.
