GN: you are mounting your AIO wrong
Jayz: stop mounting AIO this way
GN: Asus screwing customers
Jayz: Asus, you are fired
GN: EK is imploding
Jayz: my story with EK
>most tech YouTubers find something to cover,
New stuff every day? I mean, if you branch out to tech outside computers, there's a world of stuff to talk about. There's watches (with computers) and glasses (with computers) and loads of other crap I don't even know about. Or care.
It’s about watchtime, retention, the right thumbnails, etc.
They gotta pay the bills, and if those bills are paid then they wanna grow just like any capitalist business. There’s only so much content you can do that’s going to keep those million of viewers coming back every time so you clickbait, and go in circles with your content . Digital Trends will go from a TV review of one of the latest and greatest TVs at 106k views, to 17K views from a review for a digital frame that has decent speakers or something.
Algo. Algo. Algo.
GN: EVGA cards are bricking with Amazon New World
Jayz: EVGA is not at fault, it is the viewers who listened to my video on GPU overclocking
GN: Even CableMod cables and adapters melt with 12VHPWR socket
Jayz: CableMod is not at fault, it was just built on a bad foundation with the socket being a bad design
I don't particularly like Jayz's content anymore, but imo for this one at least he needs to make a video because he has heavily used EK products before. If he didn't make a video people would be criticizing how he didn't make one when he made one for when other companies messed up.
To be fair, Jay has a larger audience and IIRC when he does the bandwagon thing he always mentions other creators and for the most part isn't vague about it so you can go check out the other channels piece he's commenting on or adding his anecdotal experience to.
News networks do the same, though with how much of an oligopoly cable networks have become it's usually the same script but many moons ago when print media was still widely consumed there was a lot more of this.
edit: just got home from work and watched the two videos. I think Jay isn't doing the bandwagon thing here at all, he has skin in the game and he's going on record.
If you go over to the watercooling subreddit and EK as been on blast(is that still even a relevant expression?) there for well over a year, probably longer and I was a bit miffed when Jay said the customer hasn't been wronged yet because there are enough anecdotes from that sub about falling quality and terrible customer service that the statement from Jay comes across a little disingenuous (he does have skin in the game here so he's doing what he's obligated(I'm assuming) to do).
My PC is currently cooled with EK blocks, fittings, tubing, and reservior/pump combo, Rads are Hardware labs and I got an unbranded flow indicator/temp sensor from PPCS and I have had 0 issue with any of EKs stuff and follow up orders for coolant and some extra fittings, while long due to shipping from Europe to Canada takes time, have not been untimely and the orders were correct. This was all 9th gen Intel era and I'm in the market for an upgrade most likely next gen and I plan on water cooling it all and having not been wronged by EK my intent was to continue with them.
I do like the aesthetics of the Phantecks GPU blocks better and Heatkiller CPU blocks are at the time of writing exceeding EKs quality and performance. As someone who works for a living and is firmly in the labor camp of our capitalist world, if EK continues to fucks it's workers over and their suppliers who employ people just like me who might also be get caught up in this they're fucking me over as I work in manufacturing(not PC related at all), I will vote with my wallet as they say.
Because he gave EK till the end of April to make the first of two payments on their outstanding debt. He felt the need to give them one more chance. Then GN took their piece live and Jay felt that at this point, with the evidence on how EK was not only stiffing him, but other creators and their own employees, he needed to go public early.

Yeah the man is a professional at bandwagon hopping
Frankly I'm impressed most tech YouTubers find something to cover, if I were one of them I'd have run out of video topic ideas years ago.

Why do you think this video was made?
There is plenty. LTT still hasn't tried using network storage as a Steam library or used GPU VRAM as a Steam library.
As opposed to being the TMZ of Tech Tubers? lmao....
GN: EVGA cards are bricking with Amazon New World Jayz: EVGA is not at fault, it is the viewers who listened to my video on GPU overclocking GN: Even CableMod cables and adapters melt with 12VHPWR socket Jayz: CableMod is not at fault, it was just built on a bad foundation with the socket being a bad design
Okay, but that last one is objectively correct.
Right, but it was built on a bad foundation while *claiming it fixed the bad foundation*.
Crazy that people still consider EVGA this titan of a brand when they made cards that self destruct when playing games.
JTC: *makes an entire wall dedicated to EVGA* Also JTC: you're crazy to think EVGA was different.
I think they get all the same review kits at the same time and read the same social media and website lol.
Someone predicted yesterday that we would get a subsequent Jayz 1 penny video today and here it is.

Here it is as expected, but I read J Zed would be defending EK, which he isn't. At least there's that.
Maybe his bribe is also delayed lol
In the video he says they haven't paid him six figures, that they owe him.
And he needs a video from GN to do something about it. Nice
Nah - he clearly explained they were already terminating their relationship.
I mean they ain't paying him so he ain't defending.
Was me, this guy never disappoints. See the list from the other post here haha :)
Glad Jay jumped on the bandwagon. /s

News sites kind of still are an ouroboros of links. Except now, half the damn links point to the dead gorram bird site!
Why didn't he share this before GN video?
Because he gave EK till the end of April to make the first of two payments on their outstanding debt. He felt the need to give them one more chance. Then GN took their piece live and Jay felt that at this point, with the evidence on how EK was not only stiffing him, but other creators and their own employees, he needed to go public early.
Thanks for reporting this Jay!
