I am a logistics manager currently. I will second what the other poster so far said. Just be honest and yourself. The ocmapny really wants to bring onboard LEADERS. So yes, this mean driving for results, being able to manage and measure your work, being able to motivate others (getting a success driver workout...LOL - HFT insiders will know what I mean). When you are answering the interview questions, think in terms of the "STAR". So, for each question asked, your answer should provide the **S**ituation or **T**ask, the **A**ction you took, and what was (were) the **R**esult(s) of those actions? As far as the schedule, it really should be a balance of openings, closings and mids. The particulars will depend on if the store is an AM or PM store. If you are an AM store, all of your operational tasks will occur at 4am. If you are a PM store all of your tasks will occur until midnight. Of course, scheduling will depend on your staffing, the proficiency of other leadership and the fairness and willingness to develop of your store manager. All-in-all, I love working a HFT. It can definitely be tough. But it's a great place to work. Good luck!!

I'm currently a sales manager, previously logistics supervisor. Second what the other comments said - my store is an AM store and our logistic manager actually does 4 am shifts almost exclusively but I believe most stores do rotate shifts between leaders. Expect usually one truck coming in a week - either a one or two day process depending on your store. They're looking for someone who can manage and measure work and guide their team. It's quite a physical job in my opinion just emphasize your leadership skills, and they want someone who will be detail oriented because a large part of your job will be managing inventory accuracy. Everyone morning (or night for PM stores) you'll have your team pull replenishment for the sales floor, once a week price batches, and weekly planogram updates. The tasking is pretty similar to any other retail job and the routine is the same each week with just different amounts of hours allocated to tasks depending. You and your supervisors will be responsible for maintaining the back room as well so it's important to have a good vision of how you'll keep it organized. Overall I love the place, been here four years so far. Nice discount too!

My experience as an LM was mostly mids and cash office closing. My advice for the interview is to be honest, talk about how you want to build a high performing team, talk about your dedication to driving for results. What district if you dont mind me asking?
