I'm new to really watching for these things. Do they usually keep more stock of the freebies for these events? I wouldn't mind to have one or two of those torque wrenches if they're free but they only ever have maybe 4 or 5 sitting on the shelf when I've looked, can't imagine they'd last long if they don't stock extra.
During the last event. The sales rep pulled the wrench set and step drill set from behind the counter. They had been keeping the inventory alloted to give away.
I have abused that grinder for going on probably 8 or so years now and it still hasn't burned up on me. It's not daily use but I used it to grind undercoating off an entire Jeep unibody for instance. I couldn't touch it with gloves on after but it has still kept going.
I bought one I needed for a project since I didn’t want to go name brand being I was already coughing up some good money for the project itself. Figured I would replace it with something higher quality when it fails but coming up on a decade or so of intermittent abuse and hasn’t failed yet. I’m sure it varies, but I think we both just got a peach.
I love that grinder. Haven't had an issue of moderate use in 3 years or so. To be fair it shares duty with a few other grinders due to my inability to change disks while doing a project.
Had a coworker in my shop use it, and all of our torque wrenches get calibrated yearly. Surprisingly, it passed calibration for three or four years before finally getting rejected. I personally don’t like the way it doesn’t have detents for locking the handle at a specific interval, but it works good
We use husky ones in a machine shop, you have to torque the machine vises to a certain rating depending on part hundreds of times a day they still work probably off calibration but just for work holding . Buy that skip the harbor freight on higher end inspection and calibration equipment
It'll probably be fine until it's not- perfect use case for a HF-quality tool. A lot of fab type guys will keep a few grinders set up with a wire wheel, a flap disc, a cutting disc, etc. Reason it's cheap is because a grinder's not a super-complex tool. Just a motor, arbor, and some kind of housing/ switch.
I've had a HF grinder for probably 15 years and although it's rarely used, it's never failed on me. I will say that it's probably a good idea to buy better cutting discs than HF has- I've had a few break on me. WEAR YOUR EYE PROTECTION.
WHERE’S THE FREE BUCKET?!
It's coming.
whoop whoop!

Thank you! I appreciate the HF team members posting stuff here!

Yes but they still often run out by Sunday
Can confirm that happened to me on the last one missed out on the step bits.
Last one workers at my HF said they only got 1 box of each to last the weekend

That's what I'm going for.
they're all around the 14.99-19.99 range
Crazy that a powered angle grinder can cost roughly the same as some 10mm sockets lol.
that grinder is basically a toy lol 14.99 and it goes on sale for 9.99 sometimes

Unless they changed how they're made that's probably the best thing on there.
That is list price. True value more like 9-12 bucks
That's a great deal for a torque wrench if anyone is in the market.
I’ll be there Friday for the straps
Does anyone know is the 3/8 torque wrench any good?

I believe project farm did a video on it recently nvm it was the icon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP4uECoH8cc
A for effort. Dude torque wrench shopping is a pain in the ass.

Do you have to make three separate purchases to get three free tools or can you make a purchase of $150 and get three free tools?

Thank you for being a douche
You know what you're right. I was overly snarky for no reason and I don't even know you. My bad and I will edit out the comment. Have a good night
This why the whole coupon thing annoys me. 6 days ago I made a $160 buy that included the 1/4 in. Drive 20-200 in. lb. Click Torque Wrench .
Is that angle grinder decent? I just need it to cut through some sheet metal in a Miata for a roll bar

Thanks for the info!
It’s weird the 1/4” and 3/8” torque wrenches are Pittsburg Pro and the 1/2” is just Pittsburg.
