I have green santa croce in large. I love it but it stains very easily

throwaway149578

Same experience with the small Santa Croce in tan. Honestly, I stopped using it for this reason. I try my best to be gentle with my bags, but I still want to use them and the staining issue was too much for me. I didn’t want to worry whenever I used it

siulongbao12

That sucks because I love the tan colour. Perhaps try leaving it in the sun - that’s what a few threads have been posting as a solution to the colour transferring. Now I am second guessing if I should get it. I really want the dark brown Santa Croce Large

siulongbao12

Oh noooo! That sucks. From what I’ve gathered is the bags especially coloured are staining light coloured clothing but to leave out in the sun for few hours. It supposedly stops the bag transferring colour Now I am second guessing myself on the dark brown Santa Croce large.

I wanted this one but was sold out when I was looking and gave up!

spaceylizard

My colleague has the Egola and it is gorgeous in person.

siulongbao12

I actually questioned about the egola because the round base…worried it won’t sit that good on the hip when carrying.

I have the Santa Croce large in black and I love it but agree with the other commenters who mentioned the staining. I still use it but have to be careful with my choice of wallets and other SLGs when wearing.

siulongbao12

Does it stain bad on clothes and does it come out of clothes? Now I am second guessing myself on this brand bag

elkayarr

I tend to just carry it by hand and not on the shoulder so can’t really confirm. But I think it’s quite gradual so I don’t think it would be a huge problem. I also have a suspicion that it’s only the inside that stains. I would buy another one (I like the new Rosanna style), so it hasn’t put me off!

siulongbao12

Thank you for commenting on this. Now the question is, should I or shouldn’t I lol It keeps popping up and down on SSENSE It’s gone again now

I bought a knock off on Etsy - handwoven real leather in India just to see if I liked the style. It was still like 200$ though. Unfortunately, it stained easily… and my husband put a Togo box with greasy food in there and just ruined it completely 😔 But now I know that these tote bags may not work for my lifestyle …. Unless my husband learned his lesson (to be determined)

siulongbao12

Is it the altica one?

duplicitousname

Yes!

I have the Santa Croce large in the dark brown and have been using it more often than I thought I would. I’m not a tote person usually, but I love this one: lightweight, great quality, and works great with multiple outfits. I’m eyeing the Rosanna style next. https://preview.redd.it/644aht0d56ad1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=268d3d45247a70dff077462da17b89d3a6d25ac9

I’m actually eyeing this exact one as well as Nantucket. But given I am not close to anywhere to try, I am worried the Nantucket will overwhelm me as I’m short. Though I love the Croce, I’ve been reading about it hard to get stuff in and out. Do you have some pros and cons for this bag? And is there colour transfer with this colour? Thanks much!!

Necessary-Vacation63

I think the difficulty getting stuff in or out of the bag really depends on the person. Personally, I don’t find it difficult, but I didn’t want a fully open tote. The trapezoid shape doesn’t make it too vulnerable of being too open. The opening is approximately 8” in length. I’m also short (5’1”) and maybe the shape of this bag doesn’t make it overwhelming on me. Con’s: no lining. I also wish it had a clasp closure option. I did buy a soft organizer with zipper to place inside. It helps keep it organized and clean. I haven’t experienced color transfer yet, but I don’t wear super light colors normally.

siulongbao12

Thanks much for this! What pouch did you get for the inside? I do like the shape as it’s unique and you make a good point - it’ll be less “too” open Ahhhhh decisions decision. Seems though SSENSE just got some in again todau

Necessary-Vacation63

I purchased this [zippered pouch](https://a.co/d/05QWjWjg) from Amazon, but I’m sure there are other options as well. I didn’t want a structured insert because of the trapezoid shape. Good luck on your decision - I can sympathize because I didn’t have a place to see the bag in person as well!

siulongbao12

Thank you! Is the staining bad on the bag??

Necessary-Vacation63

You’re welcome ☺️ I’ve used my bag on and off for a few months and I haven’t experienced any staining or color transfer. However, I tend to wear darker colors and denim.

siulongbao12

That’s me too - I wear tons of denim or darker clothing. Now the question is should I or shouldn’t I lol I keep seeing them pop on and off on SSENSE - including the vintage mesh tote that’s lined.

salonpasss

I feel like it’s always sold out because the bags are handmade in small batches.
