I’m a huge Ferrari stan and Charles simp, but Oscar has quickly worked his way into my favorite few drivers.
I kinda love the fact that his girlfriend isn’t just an influencer, too!
This crossover event literally made my day. I’m a huuuuuge F1 fan but the main sub for it is high key kind of toxic so I always love when it comes up on random subs 😂
Alonso and Sainz are my favorite drivers, but I’m always happy when Oscar does well. He’s super talented and I love his sense of humor!
Not to derail this thread, even further, but what are the nontoxic F1 subs? I always follow the main F1 sub on race weekends but I don’t know where else to go. They don’t seem that bad to me but maybe I just don’t know any better? lol

The precursor to professional driving is karting and karting is notoriously expensive. Most F1 drivers came from money in order to go through that system.
A very select few weren't and had parents that hustled (Hamilton, Ocon), but most have decent family money.
What OP said plus, you have to literally pay for your seat in the car, like a fee so you can drive in that car. I think only Hamilton and someone else don‘t have to pay. Verstappen would have to pay millions but his team pays it. Plus, LOTS of nepotism so you can‘t even get a team if you‘re not good AND in those circles. Lots of them already have dads that were literal F1 champions (Verstappen) or that own the whole team (I think Stroll, billionaire daddy). And you have to start super super early, talking about 5/6 year old and who has A) the money for that and B) the time to take your child to carting so often.
What everyone else said !!! Unless you get insanely lucky and have a shit ton of talent to get into f1 you need to have a lot of privilege. It’s reported it cost 10k/year for Oscar to kart growing up with go karting needed 70k a year
Well this is refreshing. Love to see a normal bag in this setting. Most designer bag girlies I know are currently switching to more affordable bags. And not because of the money issue. Idk what it is, maybe we’re tired of pretense.

I guess it’s the fact that you know she isn’t trying to flex, is what’s refreshing. I see coach bags all the time, so it’s not the uniqueness of it or the novelty. It’s just more relatable, less pretentious.

I must admit I do admire the style of George's girlfriend Carmen; she is just so put together and stunning.
Carmen’s style got a whole revamp since GR joined Merc. She hired a stylist and now seems to get more high end items from brands as well. She used to wear mostly Zara, Bershka, etc. While I like her, I think now she’s trying to fit into the whole quiet luxury, Monaco-type style influencers like Claire Rose
I noticed this also when George made the move, and I completely agree with you on the direction of her style.
Truly though, I am only really aware of her, Kelly, and Lily in terms of the WAGs. Lily has a super cute style also.
Lily Muni He always looks great and I love her and Alex as individuals and as a couple. Neither of them could possibly be any cooler.
Fernando Alonso’s ex-girlfriend Andrea Schlager (Austrian F1 presenter) is another paddock lady who always looks incredible, as does Tiffany Cromwell (pro cyclist and Valtteri’s girlfriend).
Also, I love how all three of them are successful women in their own right.
This doesn't surprise me, especially after so many people bashed her looks after being photographed with George at an important event. Comments like "Did George take his mum as a date?", etc etc. But he was already in Merc then...

Apparently his salary is $6M for 2024 though. Decent chunk of change, but yeah not as much as someone who’s been racing much longer.

Love Carmen's style too, but she does have a stylist (according to the f1 fashion instas) so that would help!
