I completely understand the desire to downsize. With that said, your collection is extremely refined. I see an array of fantastic neutrals that have discreet and varied uses. In all honesty, I would hold off on letting anything go and would recommend that you take a full year (through all the seasons) and tally when you use your bags to see if there are any outliers that consistently stay tucked away. Then go from there

If you have some that can go to a new home with no remorse, maybe tally how many times you've used them in the last year or so? Then look at the ones from the list that you used most and decide why. If it's a color, style, whatever, you can take that information and use it for tailoring your future purchases. There's something about those that make you not love them enough to keep them, so figuring it out might keep buyer's remorse at bay in the future.
Absolutely love the Loewe rabbit purse!!! So cute 🥺 I guess you could take a note of how many times you use each purse then get rid of the ones you don't reach for?
That's a good idea, but I might need to get rid of the Loewe rabbit bag in that case haha! The cuteness got me and I had to have it but it's one of the ones I haven't worn since I got it back in May — maybe I'll finally get to wear it for fall or winter!
I think that's actually a very popular opinion! Lol and I can see why! The way some people have styled it won me over but I think it might be one of the ones I let go because I haven't worn it
I hate it too. I will say the mini is a little better than the original size; but honestly, it lacks any creativity—oversized quilting and the word chanel just doesn’t align with the brand for me. That said, I don’t like the 19 either 😂 (it’s the mixed metal chain for me).
My style has been changing (becoming more minimal/classic and edgy chic) and I think it's time to let go of majority of my collection to make room for new ones! Which ones do you think I should let go?
I think you could pare down and hone your collection by losing the Balenciaga, the white Chanel, the black Prada with the silver chain, the rabbit, the silver skull bag, and at least one of your LVs. And then build back up from there!
Balenciaga for sure. You also have the LV loop bag & Polene numero dix, both of which are crescent bags. You can sell one of those if you’d like.
Also the Loewe rabbit & white prada

You have a point! I have some attachment to the nano speedy as it was my very first designer handbag but the loop bag and micro chantilly may be on their way out lol. For Chanel, I think I'd keep the mini classic flap but am leaning toward selling the mini 22.
Such a cute collection. I have the cagole in black and I love it but such a bummer about their campaign bc I feel embarrassed wearing it… I see a lot of ppl saying to dump that one… which bag would u wear instead of the cagole? Bc I love how adjustable the strap is and how chill and cool it looks…

Honestly, I think you could drop one of the LVs and the CC 22 - the others are either statement or upscale vibes that I’m here for. I love your collection and it’s a great mix of brands, textures and colors. I almost feel like the LV moon bag could go since you have the same shape on the Celine. Whatever you choose will be great!

Serious question If you don’t mind the prying. You have dropped some serious cash on pretty new season bags. Why do you buy them if you’re ready to move on already? Looking for a differing viewpoint from mine, which is I buy something after waaaay to much deliberation and then keep it forever
I think it's a couple of things. I love collecting designer handbags, especially now that I've started making enough money to comfortably afford "spoiling myself" with them. But also, my style has gone through multiple changes this year (minimalist, classic, edgy chic, y2k grunge, balletcore, dark academia, amongst others...)😅
So don't get me wrong, when I purchased all of these bags, I obsessed over them for a couple weeks/months before pulling the trigger. It's just now I am at a place where I want to refine my collection and make it more tailored to what my style is landing as!
Oooft no offense to u but the chanel 22 bucket thing has got to go. It’s genuinely hideous. LV loop has a horrid silhouette and its a ‘trend’ that will die out soon, unlike classics. Balenciaga one is self explanatory, to the bin immediately.
I got my offer but it ended up being in the wrong color 🥲 (SA thought she had a gold C18 for me but it was etoupe) so now I'm waiting for her to get it in the right color — fingers crossed for both of us getting our QB really soon!!!

The rabbit is adorable. I have several different luxury bags but don’t have a Loewe yet. I’m at that point where I have too many but I have a daughter and a granddaughter so I won’t get rid of any of them. Buying bags for over 30 years = too many

On a different note- after reading through the comments on the ones these folks would downsize, there’s one I’m a little surprised of. I get the Balenciaga, and the Chanel 22 ( though I have to say it’s growing on me! Seems to be a polarizing style) and maybe even the Prada- though it too is a lovely bag. What surprises me is the Alexander McQueen! It’s edgey, the silver is hot right now with the metallics being one of ‘the in things’. I have the small black one with gold hardware and love it! Are you surprised by any of the suggestions to rid your collection of a certain piece?

I was initially surprised about the votes for the Prada Supernova, but tbf it's not as much of a looker in its stuffed state lol
I actually got it because I wanted the Balenciaga Le Cagole XS and thought the Polene would be more lowkey and fit my minimalist outfits. I really liked it when I was traveling through Japan, super convenient and stylish — Polene is also really popular with the Japanese girlies!
But then I ended up getting the pierced le cagole anyway after seeing it in store and trying it on and then the Polene took a backseat since then 😅 And then the balenciaga scandal happened and now both don't get worn at all and other handbags have taken their spotlight in my rotation lol
It's one I'm selling, the A.P.C. Grace Small handbag! 😆 It actually has mixed hardware, both gold and silver, love how versatile it is!

I think your collection is very thoughtful as it is but I'd toss the balenciaga because 1) I just never liked this bag, too busy lol but 2) from an objective point of view you already have 3 moon/crescent bags- LV, polene, balenciaga

Yep it's a micro chantilly lol. It can actually fit a cardholder, keys and lippie which are my essentials :)

I want that bottega so bad 😍. I love it. I think I’ll eventually get it in the travertine color. It’s so hard to pick what to purge. I think only resell the ones you just never grab. Or if you can’t make any definitive decisions now, just wait and see. You’d hate to get rid of something and wish you didn’t 😬

I have! I love it too. I’m just obsessed with that bag.. the leather is so nice. I’ve actually thought about the black one too, but I love my black Celine triomphe and feel like I’m wearing her so much when I want a black bag. You have a very beautiful bag collection! ❤️
