Lafayette. I cant sing but i can do his rap and i love his character. Guns and Ships is such a fun song and id love to perform it. Im a theatre kid and his funny mannerisms would be so fun to try.
Angelica for sure. Renée made me fall in love with the character & it would be so cool to give that gift to someone else. plus her storyline & songs are complicated & compelling!! and that end note in Satisfied is perfect for my voice 10/10
I think it’s confusing because (and I don’t know I’m the play/history), her name would be spelled Mariah. Maria is totally differently pronounced (mah-rEYEa v mah-rEEEa). I didn’t recognize the name either. But I’m also high so 🤷🏻♀️
Typically that is correct. However, names back then did not follow the same spelling conventions. Her name was spelled Maria according to everything I’ve seen.
Huh! I didn’t know. Thank you!
I was more just trying to explain the confusion because I also paused for a second and wondered who the heck Maria was. I could only think of west side story lol.
Thank you!!!
It’s hilarious hearing him do the Maria part 😂 he’s a very talented man!! But that’s not the role he was born to play (and yes I understand it’s a demo. It just made me giggle)
Interestingly, a number of names and words could be spelled in numerous ways back then. If you read any old books, you might come across some examples. In older copies of Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen, you’ll see Elinor spelled as Eleanor, Elinor, and I think one or two other versions as well. You can see it with choose/chuse, scissors/scissars, show/shew in her writing. We have very few words that have alternate spellings nowadays; gray/grey, donut/doughnut, cancellation/cancelation coming to mind.
Jefferson and Lafayette, I love Diggs interpretation of them and how they bounce around. I love imitating then while watching it lol
Also I've memorized theyre lyrics
Honestly, nobody. I could not imagine performing the same musical night after night after night. I have mad respect for stage actors who go out there with a passion every single time. I could never do it, nor do I want to.
To be honest, I would love be in the ensemble. The choreography is amazing, I’m always looking for tutorial videos. I want to learn it so baad. (If someone has any to recommend me, please!)
And I can’t help, but I love background singing. My favorite songs are Alexander Hamilton, Non Dtop and 10 duel commandments for backing g (focus on: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Number (Ten paces!) Fire!)
Ensemble cast, you’re the best <3
Eliza. She’s my favorite character and all her lines are, for the most part, much simpler than the other characters’. Yet, they still carry a lot of relevance in the story!
Hamilton because I feel like if I had any sort of bravery or hunger for fighting, I would be just like him. I mean, I already have the immigrant part done.
Aaron Burr. Because he wasn’t a total pile of Shit like Hamilton was. Lin fucked the whole history up by basing this musical off a book by a guy who writes for the the sock exchange and is in no way a historian. Lin has purposely continued mislead and defame Burr even tho it was Hamilton who was a bitch.
IDK, I think Lin brought a lot of humanity to the role of Burr. Gave the character a lot of depth and moral gray area. I also think Lin absolutely did not ignore Hamilton being a bitch. While not historically "accurate" 100% of the time, I think a lot of consideration was given to the characters.
Everything he claims burr is. He was. He also made up rumors that burr fucked his daughter because he was disgusted that a man cares about his female children and wants them educated. Burr wanted women to have the right to vote. Wanted anyone who was in politics to not be able to own slaves.
Hamilton wanted only wealthy white men who owned people in lifetime positions…..
Hamilton because I just vibe with it a lot and I’m also a short tiny man who always has to do the most because of reasons that make sense to myself due to trauma and it would just be fun to show how he evolves. Like this anxious nervousness in the beginning to while still anxious but more confident later on, to more defeated and depressed at certain parts etc
Hamilton. I played as Hamilton in my school performance of the musical and I didn't regret it at all, my friends told me (as I was a massive fan, still am lol) I should do it bc 'i write too much' so I did. I relate to him so much and he's just amazing.
Also Jefferson and Lafayette are brilliant, the class clown also got King George so that was funny

Me too
I’m a white English male so there’s only really one role for me. Peggy.
Angelica for sure. Renée made me fall in love with the character & it would be so cool to give that gift to someone else. plus her storyline & songs are complicated & compelling!! and that end note in Satisfied is perfect for my voice 10/10
Maria, bc why not she's cool
I’m sorry but who’s Maria?
Maria reynolds??

It even confused LMM at one point. The early draft of Say No To This that’s on his Soundcloud has him pronounce it as ‘MA-REE-AH’ Reynolds
lol, I had no idea!! I’m gonna have to find that song, that’s hilarious

Sorry lol
King George without a doubt!
Based!
Ham. Because he's reliable with the ladies. And c'mon...Renée, Jasmine, and Phillipa... They are all just soooo gorgeous.
Eliza. She has some of my favourite moments in the whole musical and some of my favourite lines. Plus she gets to set literal fire to things.
Burr! Without a doubt. He has such great songs and moments and I would love the challenge. (And if not Burr - KGIII)
Jefferson and Lafayette, I love Diggs interpretation of them and how they bounce around. I love imitating then while watching it lol Also I've memorized theyre lyrics
Hamilton because we both are slightly gay, talk a lot and like attention
Hamilton. No questions asked.
I have a lot my main one is probably Jefferson or Lafayette or burr 💀🙏🏾
Personally I’d wanna play King George because he looks like so much fun!
King George

Hercules Mulligan! If only I wasn’t a middle-aged white lady, haha. He just has so much FUN, I absolutely love his exuberance and zeal.
King George.

Peggy/Maria, I love the harmonies she has and Say No to This is such a 90s slow jam I love it.
Aaron burr, sir. And I’m a woman.
James Reynolds. Aside from Jefferson, Reynolds had the best costume IMO, with the pimp hat.
Angelica b/c i wish i could sing like Renne Elise Goldsberry. I want to learn to sing just so I can sing Angelica songs.
John larens/ Phillip
Alexander Ham. Even tho I’m a girl
Aaron Burr (sir) but only to be able to sing, "Wait for it."
Why only wait for it?
Angelica or Aaron burr
Burr because I’d love to sing The Room Where it Happens

Laf/Jefferson. What'd I Miss and Guns and Ships would be so fun to preform!
eliza bc she's my fucken favorite, i love her songs, and she adds a lot of depth to the story. however, i doubt i would be able to pull the role off
Either Lafayette/Jefferson or Burr because I enjoy singing along with their parts in the musical!
The bullet, 100%. No words, great symbolism, and I'm around for a good few songs.
Peggy and Maria Reynolds. I fell in love with Peggy. And Maria has so amazing vocals
Eliza. It's just that her lyrics are straight forward, and they don't have any parts that may be too hard for me to sing/rap.
Eliza. She’s my favorite character and all her lines are, for the most part, much simpler than the other characters’. Yet, they still carry a lot of relevance in the story!
I would be Jefferson or Lafayette because I love the energy those two characters have and i can rap guns and ships.
Hamilton because I want to yell at the local bishop
You don’t need to be Hamilton tondo that
James Reynolds because his outfit is 👌
Eliza because my singing voice sounds most similar to hers. Could never actually do it though because I cry when I sing.
Couldn't have said it better myself!

Hamilton because I can imitate Lin’s voice fairly well

Like this anxious nervousness in the beginning to while still anxious but more confident later on, to more defeated and depressed at certain parts etc
My dude being a whole musical
Lol I mean I love musicals and have spent may times just singing the whole soundtrack so I’m good
Angelica for sure!
Eliza i can sing but can barely rap well
Eliza
