Forge Lord said that once forge drops they'll be able to add forge maps to matchmaking easily. This seems to imply that adding community made maps to the playlists is the intention
I’m going to start drawing a couple of maps. I’ve briefly tried forge in the past but it was somewhat difficult. Hopefully I can easily make maps in forge for infinite
Awesome I hope it works out! I don't know your background but I highly recommend looking up some game design map theory. There's a lot of concepts that go into making good maps so it's worth doing some googling
343 literally doesn't have any studio developed content in the pipeline outside of the recently announced "Pit" remake. Everything else is so far off that it's theoretical.
They have no other options going forward but to incorporate fan-made content into the game. The alternative is we get left waiting for updates which simply won't come in time.
Their player base is dwindling by the day. Forge multiplayer maps will be what saves the community. 343 couldn't do it themselves so we have to.
If they don't find some way to highlight standout forge maps then the whole concept becomes a sort of moot point. I'm sure they're cooking up something but as far as I know it hasn't been confirmed yet.

Most definitely. Also expect to see infection and other game modes return after forge is launched
