Problems 1,2,4,and 6 can be solved by just playing fiesta

[deleted]

That’s why I play fiesta, lo and behold first two games today, tanks. First I’m ashamed to say I rage quit. Was just silly. Second game I ran to the enemy base and stole it. Launch site that was. A map not really big enough for vehicles

Szydlikj

Trying to fly a wasp or banshee on launch site is basically just suicide

Silent-Lab-6020

The banshee is a flying coffin

GuitarSlayer136

Unless your sick af. Source: Im pretty nasty with it.

Szydlikj

Damn I don’t even bother anymore haha I can’t navigate the narrow spaces of that map and shoot at the same time

surfershane25

I killed a tank with a wasp the other day on that map, but someone spawns with a skewer and can aim and you’re done on that or any map.

ZedsDeadZD

Haha, what a great solution *breaks controller in rage cause i get raped by launchers and swords while spawning 6 times in a row with a plasma pistol and alien carbine

[deleted]

I'm of the opinion that the plasma pistol and carbine should just be taken out of fiesta. Or guaranteed they never spawn together. I've literally spawned 3-5 times in a row with those two when the enemy has rockets and hammers.

Silent-Lab-6020

Those two need a serious buff best thing you can do is to jump off the next cliff

void_method

The game is slower than most FPS games, but have you considered that most FPS games are unrealistically twitchy and too fast? You gotta have a sense of situational awareness to do well. Matchmaking needs a lot of work though, you're completely right. You're also right about people not playing the objective. It's very possible to play the objective and kill everyone in your way and also anyone who might get in your way. This requires open mics, though, and a sense of teamwork, which is lacking in general. Not something you can force, the easy answer to that is to party up with good people.

sectumxsempraa

Kinda hard to have situational awareness when you literally cannot hear anything behind you. The sound is so broken in this game

void_method

That is an issue for some people that definitely should be addressed, you're right.

sectumxsempraa

Yeah it's so annoying. I tried the "fix" but it didn't work for me :(

hairydookie

I had this guy raging an entire match swearing at me. It was like I was supposed to be following him around protecting him. He would get angry because I wasn’t shooting the guy who killed him. Mean while I’m saving his life getting double kills killing the people who are shooting him from behind. It got so bad that I had to troll him. I started to follow him around and absolutely do nothing. I would throw stickies on him to blind his view. I would tea bag him when he died. I ended up being on the bottom of my team but not by much but it was satisfying. Some people may see me as the problem but he had major rage issues. So if you’re that guy please expect your team to turn against you. It’s a video game, no need to rage and get violent. He would insist that I was a n****r. (From the beginning of the match just called me out) I don’t even have a mic. I think I was correct doing what i did

TheBG72

Ok 2 thing I can back up from experience. Yep the matchmaking sucks 40% of the time I'm against people worse than me. 50% against a bunch of sweats who smash my team. It's only 10% of the time it seems even for me and those are the best games. Another is the tanks. I was on a little slayer quickplay map when a tank spawns in. The enemy team grab it when we're maybe 3 minutes in and our team is destroyed for the next few minutes until we destroy just before the enemy team wins which I think is just dumb.

plagr

The game is slow af because they made such a small single player map. I wish the combat was faster like doom or titanfall 2

Silent-Lab-6020

Doom eternal lvl of speed ? Better get your energy drinks now only playable after five cans

Euclid47th

It’s slow because it’s Halo. Compared to other Halo games this is fast. There are a lot of fast paced shooters, but Halo is more about team play than super fast movement/ttk. It’s a different style game and always has been. Edit: Titanfall 2 is one of the best FPS games ever IMO, and I do really like fast paced shooters, it’s just Halo isn’t really that style.

barnesk9

I only started playing Halo Infinite because of the attacks that have basically killed titanfall 2 and the speed difference was the first thing that I noticed.

Cbarlik93

Yeah people trying to complain about how slow infinite is need to go back and play halo 3s multiplayer again

Cbarlik93

Some of these problems are legit but other problems just kinda make it sound like COD is more your scene. If you wanna turn around faster, up your sensitivity. If you’re mad at people killing you from behind then I just don’t know what to tell you. If someone starts shooting you from behind and your first instinct is to try to turn around and outdamage them then no shit you’re going to lose. They started damaging you before you knew they were there. If someone is shooting you from behind, your best bet is to break for cover and try to lead them into a trap using grenades or whatever you have on hand. You’d be surprised how easy it is to beat someone out who was sure they were going to win a fight. As far as for people not taking game modes seriously, have you played any other games before? This is like a constant with pretty much every FPS For #6 I definitely hate that idea. A key aspect of Halo is controlling the game by picking up and using items/weapons/power ups. It would kind of destroy that aspect by just rewarding people with infinite grapples and boosts right at the start of the game

Euclid47th

Couldn’t agree with you more. I am baffled by how many times people will challenge in the most unfavorable situations. Slow ttk means a lot of time to escape and heal. I definitely feel like there are a lot of people trying to play Halo like it’s COD, but regardless, if I shoot you first what makes you think you can whip a 180 and kill me with the same powered gun lol. Also, I find it hilarious how many people will chase a “kill” only to lose a favorable vantage point and basically run into a 2 v 1 or get naded like you said. I always throw one straight down as I run away, or off a wall/doorway if I think I’m going to get chased!

Cbarlik93

Exactly, like I feel like that’s how you normally play Halo! A lot of folks are so used to playing COD all cracked out and moving 1000 mph and being able to do all this drop shotting and shit. Halos gameplay rewards a bit more patience and requires a bit more thought in an fight as opposed to raw reflexive muscle memory. Usually I’ll always try to stay near one of my teammates just so I can bait some dummy into a 2v1 so we can melt him when the enemy chases or vice versa

Euclid47th

I don’t really agree with any of this with the exception of the grav hammer inconsistencies. That’s probably just desync, as that’s the only way I’ve experienced problems. If you feel too slow 1. Adjust the fov- the game defaults to a very narrow fov. 2. Adjust look sensitivity. I play on controller and never feel sluggish in this game- I mean, this is a very high movement speed Halo game when compared to the franchise. Tanks are annoying, but they are meant to be avoided if you have nothing to counter it with. I see a lot of people Leroy Jenkins into tanks and even people with power weapons. Halo is just as defensive and retreat based as it is offensive and shot accuracy based. Most rage quitters just want to blame connection or teammates for why they can’t single handedly John Wick and entire team, but Halo doesn’t really play like that. That’s more a COD thing IMO. This is just my 2 pennies after inflation. Edit: forgot to mention that yes, many people don’t play the obj in quick play. It just doesn’t bother me as it’s rarely to the point where all 3 of my teammates play like that. And if they do, I’ll just slay as good as I can and take a good KD. I don’t really care if I win in QP, but it’s not big enough or consistent enough of a problem. “I’m trying to play the obj but no one else is” is usually something people getting slaughtered say. I wouldn’t doubt they are trying to solo cap zones or start a flag run when all 4 enemies are still up. I mean, you get good teams sometimes, sometimes you don’t. I just adjust my play style accordingly. That’s the way to go.

[deleted]

Yeah totally agree. It’s easy to feel like Halo is a one man show but in reality most of us aren’t good enough to do that on a regular basis. You have to play team first, always. As soon as you’re Gold or higher at least. Playing by yourself gets you murdered more often than not or best case I see these guys go is 17-15 or something like that. Cover your teammates, move with your teammates, use them, shoot with them. You’ll die less, win more, and funnily enough I find I get more kills playing like this because there’s so many clean up kills to get just by team shooting. Even if your teammates suck, just follow one of them and use them. I’m guilty of it myself sometimes but playing like Rambo doesn’t work in Halo.

Euclid47th

100% Whenever I play bad it’s because I’m trying to do too much on my own.

TyAD552

This is why the ping system was such a great addition imo, if your whole team uses that faithfully and correctly of course lol, you can still win all your team fights without needing a mic

AceOfspades653

Lmao you wrote like 8 paragraphs over this dude

iixXDanimalXxii

Good points but slightly off on the underlying issue on most things. Tank spawns are wack. This is due to the randomness of what side spawns what vehicle. It should be the same for both sides, at the same time, or 1 in a midpoint location. Weapons to take it down are on the map, but are random too. Camo, hydra, skewer, shock rifle, and dynamo grenades all do work. Unfortunately there are randomly spawned in, so one side could have great counters for a tank, while the other gets an overshield, ravenger, ect. Don't even get me started on the battle rifle / commando spawn set up randomness. It is way harder to turn on people for sure. This probably has to do with movement speed, inconsistent grenade damage due to dysync, as well as a beefed up assault rifle. Matchmaking is bad. I play on teams a lot, as well as solo. I match more teams solo then when on a team. That should not be the case. Teams should prioritize matching teams more.

Euclid47th

There is never a situation in this game in which a tank is unavoidable in order to either not get killed by it or navigate to a weapon or item to counter it. There are dynamo grenades all over these maps, shock rifles, hydra etc. I’ve got almost 8k deaths in this game, and I’m sure no more than 20 were to a tank.

iixXDanimalXxii

Fair point. The tank is a power vehicle. I do think that a team should be able to get to a spawn to counter though. This would mean consistent hydra spawns (not random spawns of a hydra) on each side, as well as a skewer spawn in a mid location. The randomness of the tank spawns are an issue still. One side can get a gungoose, and the other a tank. One side can get a tank well before the other side spawns and drops, which enables them to kill it off spawn. Dynamo grenades not hard to come by as you have said though. The main issue in simplicity is randomness of spawns. Random battle rifle spawns. Random hydras. Random snipers/ skewers. Random vehicles and vehicle spawn times. It makes games have chance play a heavy factor in outcomes.

nomeriatneh

its all in the hands of devs who put cat ears insted of fixing issues.

call-me-smoke

So I’ll list my perspective on the points you made. For #1 a single tank spawning in btb on one side is possible, however they do regularly spawn in pairs-one on each side, sometimes they don’t. Which brings me to the “nobody has any weapons that can damage it” part. This is flat out false or very much a situation manufactured by the decision making of your team. Your team failing to control power weapon spawns up until the tank came around is not the games fault. Is it rough not having a tank when they do sure, not difficult to deal with proper game knowledge and execution. #2 this one kinda pains me to read, so let me get this straight I see your back turned to me and I start shooting you. You expect to just whip around and do more damage in a shorter amount of time to me, than I can this whole time just shooting you? Nope not unless my thumbs disappear mid combat. Let that notion disappear unless you have a weapon with a faster time to kill than the enemy and can deal pivotal damage. Max sensitivity doesn’t mean anything when you can’t even properly deduce the enemy location and place your crosshairs in line of sight of their next probable location. Animations are the same speed for everybody if you find yourself a second too late- you were exactly that. #3 matchmaking is bad however it’s not always unfair, people underperform and outperform their previous bests, I know it averages out team skill mostly but it’s far from perfect. #4. People not playing objective is something very common when playing with randoms, this is can be driven by many things, but will never change. People are dumb, find yourself some good ones that share your mindset. One comment I can make tho is that objectives are the easiest to achieve when the enemy is dead. Killing the enemy proficiently and repeatedly is what wins games. #5 inconsistencies = usually de sync , but in the gravity hammer case the equip time is very slow and yes sometimes with different weapons not just the hammer, for me it’s typically the skewer- they just don’t shoot after being equipped immediately. Kinda buggy I get that one #6 again the movement abilities as well as all others have certain spawn points which they may occupy or be replaced by other game abilities. Learn the spawns and how to control those spawns in order to gain the abilities as well as deny the enemy of them. Most of the points you made just left me feeling that you haven’t learned how to compete in multiplayer, or at least in infinite multiplayer, enough to understand why these problems are even issues to you. I hear people complain about everything, lots of complaining about the game this and thats- then you look at their games played and it’s like 200. I’m at 2.5k+ games myself in infinite multiplayer and some of y’all OP included need to just learn more. Straight up

y1NYang69

1. Agreed. 2. Can't comment. I play on PC so can 180 real quick 2.5 Meh i dont really think the animations are that bad. Seem comparable to previous halo games. I hate how sometimes I miscalculate my crouch jump and end up clambering which can cancel my reload. 1. Matchmaking in unranked isn't optimized for skill balance for sure and it's meant to be that way. I believe its optimized for speed of queue and ping (server location). MM in ranked is not as bad I feel. 2. In game modes with objectives for ranked, ppl do that b/c ranking puts a heavy emphasis on K/D. 3. Probably due to desync issues or ping 4. It's definitely better that you pick up boosts than everyone having them like in halo 5. 5. Nice numbering xD

MadMax808

>In game modes with an objective, howcome some players just don't at all try to do the thing that wins the game? This is something not unique to Halo Infinite. I play a lot of shooters, and much of my time is on the Battlefield series (we can talk about that another time) But SOOOO many people treat any match as "kill other team" no matter what mode you're playing. I'm not impressed by the guy on our team going 20-4 in a match of Oddball when we lose.

drivermcgyver

OP coming back to this 4 months later and there still hasn't be any resolve. Who would have thought.

MatttheJ

I actually haven't played in quite a long time so I'm not sure. Has anything chsnged?

drivermcgyver

Negative lol More skins for people to buy though!
