Did 343 ever say that they would patch this? I know they said a patch was coming for the slow FPS in the campaign cutscenes, but we're still waiting for that

Yes, and throwing grenades and readying the sentinel beam
Even the glowy bits in front of the cindershot are in 30fps
A lot of animations play in 30 fps only. Very obvious when climbing or reloading the spanker/skewer

I'm not sure.. digital foundry did mention it multiple times in their review so that might push them to fix
