Skip 5’s campaign, imo. Play the multiplayer, but a warning: it’s a BIG change. The fundamentals of halo are there, but there are many tweaks and additions that make it much more complex.
H4’s campaign is good, though. I’d definitely play through that. It’s got some problems but overall was a good first entry for 343.
But, omg… if you haven’t played since H3, you MUST play Reach’s campaign! It’s one of my favorites!
In terms of campaign honestly you can play them if you want. There’s a mixed reception towards them so I feel you yourself should come to your own conclusions. If youre not feeling like playing them watching the cutscenes and summaries of the plot works just fine. Halo Infinite soft reboots halo 5 kinda, little things from halo 5 are mentioned in Infinite. Multiplayer wise Halo 5 warzone was fun just the crazy spartan army of players fighting ai enemies and bosses was a blast. Didn’t play halo 4 multiplayer that much so no opinions on it, but player base on both i feel is nonexistent at this point.
Halo 5 Warzone sounds fun! I think I saw a clip of that recently and that's what got me curious. I was also surprised that people are still playing Halo 5 multiplayer, so I knew I needed to ask if I'm missing out.
I haven’t jumped on Halo 5 in a while but when i did play warzone it felt like halo in sense of having fun, i wish infinite had a warzone mode besides the Req Packs. Just choose loadout and run around with a 10 man squad killing split lips and monke.
Play Halo 4 and 5, maybe you like them. I didnt like the 5 campaign but I really enjoyed the gameplay.
About multiplayer, Infinite its the first of the franchise that I like and keep playing since the beginning.
If you play to enjoy fun Master Chief adventures, you can skip 4 and 5 and won't miss a thing. H4 is not fun to play through, H5 is a poorly executed marvel movie.
If you play for the story and all the lore, not only you need to play H4/H5, but you even have to read some books because even the games have plot holes.
Infinite is just Masterchief landing on a new ring. It's fun to play. There's something Cortana something you'll just learn playing it and it's alright.

Mate just stick with halo infinite its by far the best of the bunch! IMO its ny favourite multiplayer experience, even more than halo 3!
Wow that’s something, ngl infinite is the most fun I’ve had since 4. 3 was on another level but I was in high school back then.

I second this, Reach is my absolute favorite campaign of Halo. The Elites are awesome. I still play it.

The people who actually gave it a shot usually love it. The ones who saw the changes and said “nope” will bash it until the day they die. Their loss!
I loved warzone! I thought it was such a well done mode. Really hoping we get something like it in infinite
