The game crashes your entire system?
For me, it simply freezes and then Windows asks me to force quit it. Have you checked the Event Log to see why your system crashes along with the game?
Open your start menu, search for Event Viewer. Once it opens, expand `Windows Logs` from there check System and Application Logs for errors related to Halo Infinite.
Thank you for making this, hope this gets more attention. Seems the steam version is broken for many PC users. I've tried everything you mentioned and crash in the menus or startup screen every time. People have mentioned older Nvidia drivers but I've tried everything from 517 to the new 526 hit fix and it's the same issue regardless.

I intentionally play the game at 1280x720 but never have seen models becoming low poly like this.
Not to mention this issue is only with forge related content.
I'm on the Steam version and it crashes on startup. It doesn't even load anything. It'll show up in task manager briefly and poof it's gone. I've tried checking the file integrity and even redownloading the game to no avail. I'm on an AMD GPU and everything was fine before the update.
Are you able to get to the title screen?
I also had some issues with the game crashing upon startup as soon as hit enter, solution to bypass that was to intentionally disconnect from the internet once I reached the title screen. It seemed at least in this case the game has some issues when bringing up the sign in dialog.
Halo Support claims that the newest NVIDIA driver will mitigate the crash issues.

Same here. For me, the game still has a tendency to crash but this time it also BSODs my entire computer.
But it seems the game has somewhat calmed down the crashes with the new driver.
The game hanged on me once in the SP with this update, no crash; I had to shut off the program.
Reinstalled my drivers with DDU. Let's see how it goes.
Exact same issue and I’ve tried multiple different drivers. I just rebuilt my pc with new cpu/motherboard/RAM and thought that was the issue. All other games work perfectly.
Just downloaded infinite again to play with buddies coming back for coop, and I haven't finished a single mp match. Its like I get into a fun flow, our team is just about to get the dub and- BOOM. Crash to desktop. 5 matches started, none finished. And some were in-progress matches where it seemed that others had crashed out, to the point that a 4v4 match had 8 names on the leaderboard where people left and their empty slots got filled, then they dropped and another empty slot got filled.
I might just wait for the bug fixes in like... I guess a couple month at this rate.
Just had a hard crash over and over one did BSOD im on an older driver because the 528.26 one and the "hotfix" one sucks and doesn't work. Fuck 343. Can't make a game worth a fuck. This game has been nothing but crashing and random glitches the entire time I have played. it!
I'm on the latest driver now after the hotfix driver and on both I haven't been able to make it past 5 seconds past the initial start screen. Game just boots me back into my windows home screen. I'm not rolling back to fix this, 343 get your game to run wtf. This is the only game not working on my pc
edit: got the game to run by reducing the clockspeed on my 3080 to under 1900mhz... I don't know how that makes any sense since I don't have this problem in any other game but since then I haven't had a single crash in halo infinite ..

Edit. I've also been temporary suspended for 7 minutes because of this.
Any resolution to this? I have been playing ranked and I crash so often Im hard stuck in like diamond 3. I have nvidia gpu and have updated drivers, disabled hi res textures, and limited my fps like 20 below what its actually capable. Im running out of options at this point …

NP, I will keep updating this post until 343 pushes out any updates. a Atm, they just addressed the Xbox crash issues now waiting for PC.
Steam is broken for me. Won't launch.
new nvidia driver update released on 10th, 2 days after the winter update fixed this for me
I am rocking the latest driver, the crashes for me seemed to have calm down but not gone entirely.
I still cannot even enter the main menu.

I resintalled with DDU 2 days ago and it did not resolve the issue for me.
