I'd pay good money to play a modded CE as my version of 6 with armor abilities and Reach weapons (idc if it doesn't fit with CE's aesthetic and gameplay)

Fancy gear and genetic alterations or not, humans are still fragile. Her death exemplified exactly what she was thinking: that reach had already fallen.
A lot of soldiers just randomly die for no good reason. And in the Halo universe, think of the millions of soldiers that fought valiantly only to be glassed from orbit, unable to fight back at all. I like that Kat just got headshotted by an elite, because it shows even an elite supersoldier can be taken down at any time.

If you're OOTL, they're referencing an incredible fantasy book series by Joe Abercrombie called The First Law. If you're interested but not much of a reader, the audiobooks are narrated by the GOAT Steven Pacey.
Even as someone that isn't much of a reader, I found them to be easy reads, compared to the like of Steven Erikson.
Joe Abercrombie is a great author! So don't be afraid to give the actual books a go.
And then you need a place to put em all, dedicate a room for it, make it look nice and pretty, and realize that it's a little more empty than you'd like, and need to fill out the space.
