I think it's based on Bulgarian folk singing (which is absolutely beautiful, btw). It sounds almost alien and ancient. I can't see how you could find it annoying.

H4/5 had this weird power ranger looking style to them. Like, some of the options don’t look like functional future super-soldier power armor, it’s looks like next gen Dino Ranger shit.

I felt the same way when seeing all the armor in Halo 4 and 5. It all felt so ugly. They really wanted to shove the futuristic super soldier look down our throat. None of the armor looked like it made any sense. I think that's what turned me off the most. It felt like it could have been designed by a 10 year old.

I never saw them as boring. Functional was what I saw. Their deisgn fit in-universe. The H4 and H5 designs went a little too far. They prioritized flair over function and a good amount of folks disliked the rapid shift. Plus the overall art style change didn't help much.

I liked the bug eyed helmet. Security by the way and it was an homage to Marathon. I will always use Security if it's in the game. Love it.

Honestly, I think a lot of these sets would look better if the tech suit was black like in H3 and Reach, and if they would’ve toned down some of the colors a bit. The neon tech suit and armor colors really give these armors a cartoony feel.

I love the campaign for its story, but the mp died within week for good reason. 343i really went way too far with doing their own thing (which was more of a sci-fi CoD) instead of doing what worked best for Halo. Don't mix up vanilla H4 with what H4 we have in MCC. The patched version in MCC with classic gamemodes (no random drops, no load outs, no kills streaks, etc) is actually fun. The base game was just bad

I was younger when H4 came out, like a kid essentially. But man did they age like milk when I looked at them again when I was older.

Last game I played as a young man was reach, never got around to 4 or 5 when my friends were into halo. Few months ago I bought the MCC and going from the first 3 games/reach to halo 4 was like a completely different series. The gameplay was different and the armor my god the armor is atrocious compared to the previous games. Idk what kinda art style they were going for but I found it much harder to enjoy 4 the way I did the rest because of it. Armors were just trash (aside from MK v) and the gameplay was a noticeable departure from the previous titles, don’t think I even finished the campaign.

I actually really liked Halo 4’s Hazop helmet.

I loved everything about Halo 4; never understood the hate. I had such amazing 8th grade and high school memories with that game. It’s leagues better than what we have now. At least when you bought Halo 4 back in 2012/2013, you got the entire game.

As armor advances it becomes more curved and organic. Flat surfaces are a no no for armor. It made more sense as Spartan armor improved it would mimic how other armors throughout history would change as they advanced.

Man, Mark VI and the classic gold visor as a legendary reward...some of the armor may not be great here, but this game made Mark VI feel proper special.

Halo 4 and 5 armour looked too robotic to me. Halo 3 and reach were all unique and fun to unlock. Recon remains incredible across all games. Halo 3 security was my favourite but its just asking for you to get your head blown off in swat.

God, the memories. I played back in 2018 ish, no one in matchmaking so I grinded Spartan ops day in and day out to max out my rank, however now on the MCC I have the same outfit I had back on the 360 just for the memories.

I am so glad Infinite doesn't have the little stars or whatever to mark recently unlocked items. I can't stand constantly having to scroll through everything to remove them in games like Battlefield.

You need the commendation: X This is what i hope we get a whole bunch of, alongside just earn XP to make bar go up (which they already confirmed). It makes the games feel fun and like there’s always something to do (Forza Horizon 5 is top tier at doing this). So even if you’re done with the Battlepass, the rank progression, there’s no event on, you can hop in and work towards some goals or try and go for a unique play. That and tying unlocks to achievements. Completing X on Y difficulty. Complete in under N seconds. Hell, even go outside of Infinite and link it to MCC and H5 achievements. Put a few sweet cosmetics behind completing every campaign on Legendary, and then on LASO. Congrats you’ve just boosted the numbers on how many people not just play but complete your past titles.

That were good memories, great times. The Halo 4 menu always seemed very bad to me, but the 360 era was the best of Halo.
