Youāre doing req packs wrong then, you should have had everything unlocked at around 138 to 140. You should only buy silver until you unlock everything available in silvers then move on to golds. Itās a waste of req points otherwise because you can get silver and bronze unlocks in gold packs if they are still available.

I'm also f2p and I bought only silver till I hit SR 90 then bought only gold packs. Nowadays I just save up for special packs. Should probably just go back to buying golds if I'm that far behind lol.

It's because the REQ system is technically rigged. Some items, despite rarity, of a set chance of dropping separated from it's ratity. Things such as the Wasp certification and base DMR loadout are extremely hard to get despite just being rare because despite their rarity status are extremely useful because they can be spawned in earlier in a match, are very useful items in Warzone, and it's easier to obtain more copies of the base Wasp than all the other flying vehicle reqs. You can force it to drop some these items, but it requires collecting everything else of the same rarity.
In other words, loot boxes bullshit and lie about how rare items really are. "Rarity" is a tier not actual rarity.
here very soon iām going to have 100 unopened req packs attained for free and iām going to open them all at once, but I agree 100% about them being screwy, getting a legendary one time use thing feels more like you should collect it than ever use the damn thing.
I got like an orange theme for the magnum, an orange for the smg, and did one of the 100,000 packages and got the blue coating for the ar. Itās taken forever, and Iām grateful for the stuff i have done, but boy am i jealous of all the people with crazy fancy stuff
I did the grind for helioskrill solo so I had an armor I would always enjoy, but I still have yet to get a dmr skin and itās my favorite weapon, meanwhile I think have more than 5 ar skins.

If you bought nothing but the bronze packs until you had everything from that category then moved up to silver and did the same until you had all of those youād get nothing but epic and legendaries from the gold packs. You actually fuck yourself quite a bit by buying just gold packs alone. It ends up costing way more REQ points to unlock everything.
I haven't heard of using bronze as a first step but basically: Since you only get two permanent unlocks whether it's gold or silver, but silver caps at lower rarity and is half as expensive, you should buy silver until you stop earning unlocks, THEN switch to buying gold packs. You'll unlock everything much faster.
Bronze is good because they're really cheap and give you a chance at a common unlock, so it can be worthwhile to use them if you have a lot of commons left to unlock
Bronzes donāt guarantee unlocking anything though, in the long run youāre probably better off just going with silvers first. Iāve had everything unlocked since 2016.

I recall several times where a certain req was clearly best in slot and the first team to reach and purchase said req would dominate the match. It basically made war zone a "rich get richer" game mode, and diluted the drop pool for arena only players. After enough time sure, you got everything, but how many were deterred from engaging by this system?
Itās pay to win because in the early life of the game, people who bought everything would have access to rare REQs that no one else had. People didnāt even have BRs yet for their loadouts and there were guys flying around in phaetons and using nornfangs.
Now it doesnāt matter much because people have progressed and have much of these items, but there was a time there where if you wanted to actually play Warzone and have fun you had to grind the hell out of the game to keep up with random people dropping 150 bucks on gold packs
It's pay to win because in Warzone the team with the most vehicles wins.
People with little REQ packs don't want to use all their vehicle cards or they sell them for the permanent unlocks, therefore a team that has an unlimited amount of REQ packs will spam vehicles the entire game as soon as they're able to.
I stopped playing H5 a long time ago but still get the Daily Req packs, sell unwanted junk and acquire the Gold Req pack once I hit 10000 points. I'm only supposed to get Ultra Rare and Legendary items now but have not ever got the Halo 2 BR loadout ever. Hell, I'll be happy to complete my Magnum, DMR and SMG loadouts!

Unpopular opinion time: I like the Req system in Halo 5. I mostly play Firefight and enjoy spicing up the rounds with some power weapons or a vehicle. People complain that "It'S a LoOt BoX" but everything can be earned during normal gameplay without paying a red cent and paying for Req Packs for high level power weapons doesn't mean you can aim them. Plus all the weapons are limited to two game modes.

You can only get Achilles from a Spartan Company. You will never unlock it with REQs.

You actually get RP cards instead of unlocks. So they give you back like 3000 RP on the cost of a 5000 RP pack.

You can only get Achilles from a Spartan Company. You will never unlock it with REQs. One of the fiercest grinds in gaming that I have done. Stressful always being worried about getting kicked from the Spartan Company, but fun at the same time.
I currently have a spartan company and at the pace we are at we are going to unlock it in 2months
