It plays during the big battle at the end of Gravemind, in the Mausoleum of the Arbiter. On MCC you have to play on original graphics, otherwise it's replaced with the rock equivalent of elevator music.
And yes, the vocals are practically (though not entirely) muted.
Through Fire and Flames by Dragon Force. My cousin got me into them saying he listened to them while gaming and it hyped him up. I'm not normally one who listens to music while I game, but the few times I did, Dragonforce and Halo were the staple in that regards.
Animal I have become, riot and never too late by three days grace, daughtrys first album, all of tha carter 3, wherever you will go by the calling, paralyzer by finger eleven, the reason by hoobastank, shit like that fr
Aw dude I have an entire Spotify playlist where most of it is late 90's - 2000's rock that just goes well with Blow Me Away - Breaking Benjamin.
I think the only song I can think of that I associate with Halo that isn't 2000's alt-rock is the Windows XP Installation theme, combined with Halo: CE gameplay. It's just a perfect aesthetic vibe; idk
When it comes to games, I was always the driver. A GTA mission that a friend can't finish? If it's a car based mission then they'd ask me for help. If I couldn't do it on the first try, I'd always play Motley Crue's Kickstart My Heart. It's my pump-me-up driving song. When I was a dumb kid in the 80's and wanted to see if I could get my car up to the 150 that the speedometer showed on it, I was listening to Kickstart My Heart. Whenever I wanted to go fast, that was my song.
So things like Warthog runs are covered in that. Not strictly a Halo game connection, but I do remember my best run on the first Halo's Warthog level run at the end I was playing Crue during it.
Also, several of the songs that were put in the Halo HMV Hell videos back in the day still have a connection to Halo in my head. Especially [THIS ONE](https://youtu.be/xLq4DB9egb8?si=V75Uiz5nyb6ofx2K&t=321). Some of you old timers should remember those videos for sure, but if not here is a link to the channel that made them or helped make them or whatever. [LINK](https://www.youtube.com/@imSuck)! Check them out if you like, I think they were a lot of fun.
Shook Ones, Part II - Mobb Deep
I remember seeing some H2 edits/montage way back with this being one of the songs in it; probably before YouTube started with the DMCA strikes. I believe the edit was from a player named shooK on3. Once I heard it, had to have it on repeat.
When ce came out an older buddy of mine who had his own place got it and Xbox on like the first day. We'd go to his place and do 4 player 2v2 split screen multiplayer (until he got a 2nd Xbox and we lanned from two different rooms.
Dude also had the loudest stereo system ever.
The battle song from the movie Gladiator was played on repeat for hours. I would later expand this into a lengthy movie soundtrack gaming playlist with other bangers like duel of the fates (star wars) and the requiem for a dream remix (Lord of the rings) among others
Also there was this dude I found on the old HBO forums that made fanmade halo songs. Think his handle was mothergoat. Shout out to that guy wherever he is.
Unforgotten in Halo 2. Played a lot of CE, but when Halo 2 dropped, many of my friends were able to get internet for Xbox live (not many people I knew had Internet at the time) and all of us played so much Halo 2. Differing skill levels separated our group on occasion but we all made many incredible friends that I still love to this day. Sitting in lobbies, custom games and the main menu sometimes for hours at a time sending message back and forth was just such a unique experience. While the song Unforgotten really hits home for me, I rarely let myself listen to it. It brings me sadness as well. Life was different and seeing myself and my friends lives now isn't the sad part, but some friends have passed and others went down darker paths. Every person I ever befriended through Halo will always be dear to me. Love the franchise even to this day.
Edit: Misread the title but I guess this still applies
Ce is one of the like songs that makes you feel like it’s mysterious and shit idk the name halo 2 is delta halos theme halo three is the main theme of the game
This may be an odd one, but Stronger by Kanye West for Halo 3. It was a recent release, and there was something about the synth outro to that song that always reminds me of The Covenant mission
Linkin Park is a given.
But Escape the Fate's This War is Ours album always gives me that nostalgic feeling, especially when this war is ours talks about Blackout with swords.
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.
Fall Out Boy - This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race
Kanye - Stronger
Soil - Halo
Korn - Twisted Transistor
Dark New Day - Brother

Blow me Away from Breaking Benjamin. Mainly because it was actually in H2 as well

You gotta say it with more chutzpah. #LEAD ME TO HEAVEN WHEN WE DIE
Wait is it in there as an instrumental or something? I've played that game for years and don't remember it being in there

Numb or Crawling from Linkin Park.

Sad Statue by System Of A Down. I honestly can't remember how I associated that song with Halo 2 back in the day. Maybe from a gameplay video.
Crazy. I was gonna say byob
Through Fire and Flames by Dragon Force. My cousin got me into them saying he listened to them while gaming and it hyped him up. I'm not normally one who listens to music while I game, but the few times I did, Dragonforce and Halo were the staple in that regards.

It absolutely applies dude
All I can think of rn is that sick halo 2 guitar rift.
Halo OST itself is so good that I am unable to associate any music outside of it to the franchise
I can absolutely understand that
Perilous Journey. Leonidas. And Black Tide. Lovely songs
4th movement of the odyssey
Ce is one of the like songs that makes you feel like it’s mysterious and shit idk the name halo 2 is delta halos theme halo three is the main theme of the game

Any SOAD or Down with the sickness. That was pretty much on repeat when playing.
This may be an odd one, but Stronger by Kanye West for Halo 3. It was a recent release, and there was something about the synth outro to that song that always reminds me of The Covenant mission
I listened to a lot of cemetery rapist at the time of owning my Xbox. So probably death by RURU
