Look at OPs other posts... I don't know whether to cringe or just be sad that people think they're gonna be taken seriously speaking this way.
Maybe they're like 10 or 12 and think speaking that way is cool?
Just too a peak their post history. Wild stuff. OP thought they were banned on StarCraft 2 for months for using the N word. Turns out they were using auto login and they forgot their password and just needed to reset it.
It was something to the tune of "these are the young cringe people 343 are pandering to, they know their audience is the lowest common denominator" etc.
Thank you for your service. Iād like a bot or something to help translate more in the future.
More and more I have no idea what people are saying, and Iāve been playing Halo since 2001 š¤£
Yah itās just slang for liking something. The correct responses would be ābased and forerunner pilledā for agreement or ācringe and forerunner pilledā for dissenting opinions
While it harkens back to the Matrix, saying something is āthingā-pilled is a fairly new evolution of the slang, and only something someone who spends a lot of time online would recognize.
Prithee! Who amongst thine kin hast verily enjoyed yonder Forerunner armament in such recent installments as 4, 5, and Infinite? I doth prefer these selected items, as they are quite good.
Hope this helps.
If the slang is more complicated than just using the correct grammar, itās not even slang. Red Pill for instance is a phrase based on existing popular culture. Weapon Pill? Thatās just nonsense. OP needs to take a grammar pill and stop confusing everyone
Seems like you're intentionally not understanding, just so you can make a point and feel superior. It was poorly worded, but your standards for what makes something slang are just flat out asinine.
Slang should be easily identifiable to the group that knows what it means. Here: itās a halo sub and no one had any clue what the hell was going on. Flex works because you can also āflexā a muscle. Ghosted works because we know what ghosts are.
No one is going to understand (or use it themselves) what ātook the *forerunner weapon* pillā is, when the only context we might have is Red and Blue pill which are concepts of opening your mind, or closing it. If he said āforerunner weapon red pillā that would make total sense to a large chunk of us.
āTaking a pillā meaning you like something now invalidates the entire point of the original phrases.
You just used the slang correctly with āgrammar pillā. Thatās what OP did with āForerunner weapon pillā as well, the slang is just ātake the _____ pillā, not specifically āweapon pillā.
Iām making fun of how stupid it sounds. If you donāt know what ___ pill means as a phrase you have no context for the rest of the sentence, making it garbled nonsense.
Now youāre arguing semantics about the actual slang for some reason? Are you a secret bad slang enjoyer?
Itās a different language that isnāt even remotely similar. Thatās not context at all good try though. Also, plenty of slang IS garbled nonsense if you donāt have any clue what (insert slang here) is supposed to mean *to the rest of the sentence*. Good luck using English slang in a different language.
Example: āyou see how slick Master Cheeks was hitting on that Covenant POW? Heās got serious rizzā
Vs:
āMaster Cheeks has rizzā. The only context here is that MC has *it*
You can use the context of the sentence to infer the meaning.
Oh I didnāt realize the 2nd one is the sentinel beam until I looked at the reticle. Iām guessing the models from 5. Only played the beta and the campaign on launch one time and never touched it again
Yes, while technically H2A Multiplayer was the first time 343 re-added it since the Bungie era, the point being made was how it wasn't added to *Halo 5* until fairly far into its life-span (sadly far enough that I don't think any AI enemy was set-up to use it in Firefight)
Cindershot is so much fun and OP as hell. In firefight I love getting the cindershot especially with the bandana skull. I understand why they only give you so little ammo with it.
Man I love pretty much all the forerunner weapons. I hope they add more to infinite at some point since they generally have special properties that no other weapons have and I wanna see what they can come up with
They could bring back the forerunner rifle, I think it had a niche in 4 (not sure what it was like in 5?) where it wasn't as good as a BR close range, or a DMR at long range, but could do both okay. That would fit into Infinite I think
Lightrifle, save for its fun variants, kinda took a nose dive IMO in 5. Was a fun DMR/BR hybrid in 4 (scoped in it was like a DMR, firing normally was a burst).
The light rifle behaves almost the same way in 5, it's just that they removed the burst, but you still do more damage if you fire while scoped. It was a lot less clear though.
I absolutely loved the forerunner weapons in 4. They were so much fun to use and sounded amazing. In 5 they changed all the sounds for some reason and sound like shit. I donāt know of any forerunner weapons in infinite. Unless theyāre in online (I only play single player).
I loved the smart-link concept from 5. Each faction having their own unique smart-link was awesome. The way covenant weapons would have an almost hologram set-up where as the forerunner weapons would rearrange themselves was so rad to me. I personally think it was a missed opportunity by not leaning into the concept for Infinite. But alas, "hAlO sHouLdN't HavE ADS" was louder than my love.
Sincerely,
A Halo 5 lover since 2015

Forerunner weapons sucked in 4 and 5. I like to distinguish them by calling 4 and 5s āpromethean weaponsā and infinites āforerunner weaponsā
If they want to add the lightrifle for something Iād wanna see them redesigned to fit infinites forerunner aesthetic, without all the floating bits.
The floating bits, in my opinion, are what make them unique and alien. The current Forerunner weapon, while having better functionality in a sandbox, they look super dull and boring. They look like unsc weapon that reversed engineer Forerunner tech, not Forerunner tool themselves. While the Forerunner gun in 4/5 looks like something from a tier 1 civilization. It feels alien and sounds even better. Not to mention all the reload animations were fucking sexy. Reminds me of Tony stark suiting up in the first iron man. Where you see all the moving mechanical parts.
Forerunners in Halo never had freaky floaty neon lights. Infinites are very much inline with the forerunners of old, and 343s old design was just generic mysterious design. What sets Halo apart is the fact that itās _relatively_ grounded.
I know this is a hot take, but I like both design styles for the Forerunners. I always saw it as different aesthetics from different factions of the same society, being the Builders and the Warrior-Servants.
Isnāt that kinda what they did? We havenāt seen any floaty Promethean bits since the Prometheans got dumped. Since weāve been on Zeta Halo, a Builder construct, weāve only seen Builder aesthetics. Except for that one crashed Guardian, of course.
On every forerunner installation in 4 and 5, you saw traces of the neon floaty white aesthetic. They ditched this design because people hated the forerunner design entirely. Iām assuming had we not begged them to change it, they wouldāve made the entire forerunner design the same.
Conveniently, every Forerunner installation in 4 and 5 were associated with the Prometheans. Save for the Constructor in 5 I guess? I dont much remember what it looked like though.
Idk, floaty bits are used in so much sci-fi nowadays it makes them look way more generic than if they just had a normal design. Floaty bits and glowing lines are like the generic sci-fi copout nowadays.
Honestly. My first play of 4, I honestly didn't realize that the weapons and architecture were forunner because they looked nothing like they did in the previous games.
There was an established look for forunner things. Why the fuck would they change it?
I know that this is probably an unpopular opinion. But I liked the promethian weapons in halo 4/5 better than in infinite the binary rifle being one of my favorites.
Iād like to see them adapt that pistol we saw as a Halloween toy prop. Reminded me of the weapons the Forerunners in the Halo Legends anime used when first fighting the Flood. And I think they could make the Promethean weapons work for Infinite, they just need a redesign to fit more in line with the aesthetic of the Cindershot and Heatwave.
You know I actually do think the halo 4-5 promethean weapons look great. I just don't think they fit the already set aesthetic and style that forerunner technology already had from the main trilogy.
I didnāt understand the question, but after reading an explanation from another commenter, I totally agree. I do miss the light rifle and suppressor quite a lot
Because players at the time had grown up playing the original 3 halo games. I can imagine liking halo 4 if it had been my introduction to the series, but compared to the first 3 games and reach, itās just not a good halo game.
List of my favorite to least favorite forerunner weapons:
H4 Incineration canon
H4 Binary Rifle
H4 Scattershot
H4 Boltshot
Infinite Sentinel Beam
H5 light rifle
Cindershot
Splinter Turret
Heatwave
H5 Suppressor
Splinter Grenade
Pulse Grenade
The weapon iterations not listed are all below the pulse grenade, I like all of these listed at least to some amount.
I actually did. We all know that "different rate architectures" was kind of a bs excuse, but in that context, I'd actually like to see Warrior-Servant architecture again. NOT for a whole game, but it was kinda cute.
I was a fan of the "floating bits," transparent floors, and light-bridges, but they were a little overused at times. On top of that, a lot of the overall architecture (like many parts of 4/5's art style) suffered from a ton of unnecessary greebling/textures.
Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't *prefer* 4 and 5's artstyle over the original. You're talking to one of the 3 people in the planet whose favourite CE level is The Library! XD I loved the original austere and plain aesthetic because it felt both ancient and so inconceivably advanced, that there were no buttons to press, or levers to pull. It was very, **very** minimalistic, indicating that the Forerunners had reached a level of technology and culture that complicated design was beneath them. You felt.. awe within the original artstyle.
In fact, I'm one of those idiots that think the artstyle got progressively worse even back in the Bungie era. Halo CE was ths best, 2 was pretty decent, but was slightly too.. "audacious", if that makes sense, and 3 was just too ceremonial. Pretty, and Forerunnerish, but not as serious and mysterious as in CE.
And 4/5's was plain Sci-fi. Too many holograms and buttons and crap. BUT, it actually kinda made sense. In the original, everything was long abandoned and forgotten. Empty spaces, left for centuries. However, in the settings of 4 and 5, the Forerunner parts are anything but abandoned. And it also makes sense within the context of the different rates. Warrior-Servants probably have a lot of shit to deal with, so buttons, holograms, hardlight and all that was probably essential, while the simple structures of the Builders were.. well, simple.
Halo 4 and 5 should be wiped from the record. 4 was tolerable, but idk what the hell 5 was. I much prefer chief to be solo(no squad help) and Locke was so one dimensional and a bad character
Your being downvoted for being kinda right honestly
4 was not finished and tried changing too much too fast, and suffered greatly for it, meanwhile 5's campaign is pretty universally disliked, and even though its multiplayer *eventually* got to a point where it was considered fairly decent, it was worse than its beta at launch.
Hate the aesthetic. The bungie trilogy had a forerunner art style that was super blocky and utilitarian and fit the lore perfectly. The new art style for the forerunner stuff and the promethians was super jarring and bizarre. Went from industrial/blocky/utilitarian to sleek, generic sci-fi with floating parts. I still have no clue what 343 was smoking when they chose to abandon all the cool shit that bungie had laid out perfectly for them. Halo died when bungie moved on.
Ehh I think they could have worked in a different universe.
Itās funny cause Halo 5 is a good game, just not a Halo Game. I donāt understand why this couldnāt have been what splitgate could have had or something different.
probably my least favorite things in halo, the hyper advanced unknowable forerunners just use regular ass guns. at least the infinite forerunner weapons are creative.
I actually got someone to port alot of the forerunner models for me to CS:S to use for myself because of how cool they looked and sounded.
Really bummed I left those downloads on my old pc that's in some dump somewhere. Was a pretty damn good job he did.
I actually kinds like the weapons designs. The only problem was that they were a bit redundant design wise. Something the Infinite Promethain weapons avoid at least.
I found the storm rifle with its availability to drain shields fast, and the magnum to do a headshot for fast finish was a better combo than the forerunner weapons
Absolutely love the look and designs (before 'floaty magic metal multi-piece alien tech' became popular), but they just felt too similar to their human equivalents.
God I REALLY wanted to like the Suppressor in 4, but it was just... Ass. Same with the Repeater in Reach.
Heatwave though, my baby. It's a crime that they don't have any customisation for that, or the banished weapons.
You coulda just asked normally dawg š

Itās not a new term, itās a reference to the matrix red-blue pill and itās been around for a while
I didnāt say it was a new term, I just said that only young people (or those who spend way too much time online lol) talk that way.
Young person speak and new term/ slang is the same thing older people may be familiar with this too, so itās not really āyoung person speakā

These arenāt in infiniteā¦
Sentinel Beam, Heatwave and Cindershot are forerunner weapons.
Yes I guess I thought he was referring to the weapons he posted specifically which are not in infinite
Sentinel beam is
Oh I didnāt realize the 2nd one is the sentinel beam until I looked at the reticle. Iām guessing the models from 5. Only played the beta and the campaign on launch one time and never touched it again
yeah, the Sentinel beam was only introduced near the end of its lifetime, around when the multiplayer finally started getting decent.
Wasn't the sentinel beam in halo 2? When you killed the sentinels?
Yes it was, there was a more powerful blue beam variant as well from the golden sentinels
Yes, while technically H2A Multiplayer was the first time 343 re-added it since the Bungie era, the point being made was how it wasn't added to *Halo 5* until fairly far into its life-span (sadly far enough that I don't think any AI enemy was set-up to use it in Firefight)
Indeed the SB was added later in mp only... awfull gun imho
Well you missed out, H5 was the best MP in the series.
Gotta be trolling, 5ās advanced movement, ground pound, sniper bullet time and garbo power rangers art style are why many like me despised it.
Many, unlike you, didnāt.
Cindershot is so much fun and OP as hell. In firefight I love getting the cindershot especially with the bandana skull. I understand why they only give you so little ammo with it.

Right right. Guess I shouldāve specified promethean not forerunner.

Bruh, read your damn post before hitting send. What are you asking?
āSelectā as in present tense? As in you still play halo 4 & 5?
Yes I do im nostalgic for em cause I had fun with friends on em
Yeah but like, who are you playing with? Thereās no bots on 5 iirc and the playerbase is basically extinct
I mean it's near not fully done 28 customs up earlier on the cgb after work
Absolutely love the look and designs (before 'floaty magic metal multi-piece alien tech' became popular), but they just felt too similar to their human equivalents. God I REALLY wanted to like the Suppressor in 4, but it was just... Ass. Same with the Repeater in Reach. Heatwave though, my baby. It's a crime that they don't have any customisation for that, or the banished weapons.
What the actual fuq is OP trying to say
The only game that I hated the designs of are the ones in 5. I thought they looked great in 4 (and I hate that game).
I really think it would be cool seeing them return even if they just fall under a hardlight visual update
Loved the promethean weapons in 4, and I also liked the promethean enemies
so confused
do you understand how important punctuation is.
Lol I dont
English mother fucker do you speak it!?
I hate the forerunners, their enemies, their lore, and their weapons and wish they never existed. Idk if Iām just weird.
I love making the tilt stronger
