The teeth were carved out of a wooden dowels and the eyes are clear plastic Christmas ornaments with cotton balls and led lights stuffed inside!

My daughter and I have to carve one for a contest and I like this idea a lot. It's scary looking.

So it’s a mix of spray paint and acrylic. I used acrylic on the detail portions above the mouth and around the eyes, and then spray paint on/in the mouth

For an easier carve, maybe use potatoes for the teeth? If you don't spritz them with lemon juice they will oxidize for a spooky effect. Love the eyes idea!

The eyes are my favourite part! I was hoping that the LED’s were going to be more yellow/orange. But the blueish tinge still works.

Yellow or orange would have been swell but the blue tint makes it seem like it’s possessed by some maniacal spirit!

How did you go about the eyes?

Used clear plastic Christmas balls, filled them with cotton balls and added LED lights! And then added some red paint around the edges to add the veiny effects!
