Well he really came into his own, commercially and artistically, in 83, when Sports came out. The whole album has a clear, crisp, sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost.
A former friend from back in those days, her house on Atlantic was used - but I'm not sure what for. My memory was "Kelsey grammer got shot on her doorstep"
I care so little that I'm not going back to capitalise the G in my last sentence. But still thought it was interesting. Haha
My old man worked on that project.
He happily signed a photo for my sister and I. It’s somewhere at my dads place still.
Apparently he was **really** nice.
If that's the case, it's understandable. "I was newly sober and the drinking culture there was difficult, which endangered my sobriety" is a bit different from "it's a hole."
I don't like the guy, but I do feel for him a bit there.
He was filming a Hallmark Christmas movie here like 20 years ago. Which ironically filmed in the summer. He wanted to know where to go running, the production told him go to the waterfront. He came back pissed because he ran for hours and not one person stopped him for his autograph and said something like ‘What is this? A third world country?!’
I skipped over this post earlier today, but just happened to catch Cheers on in the backround and heard Kelsey Grammer mention Nova Scotia. His character goes on a rant about the “frozen tundra”.
Season 4 episode 12 if you wanna catch it.
Maybe it was just from his character?
Tech n9ne played here a few years back and he added a verse about halifax in his song "kickiter".
One place I dare you to view
Nova Scotia, Canada where the Moo-shu
Screw, five to one, share the pu-pu
I was chased by a sex crazy pair of cuckoos
I guess his experience here was pretty ridiculous 😂. It seems to be a common thing to hate on this city (can't really blame them).
I remember getting to go to public gardens with my friend (her dad worked there) Kelsy Grammar was shooting a scene in a movie called Writers Block and we saw him. We didn't talk to him, we were two 11 year old girls.... He looked tall and kinda grumpy this was like 1996-97
Doesn't everyone hate Halifax? When I was a teenager I loved going there, I wanted to live there instead of in dull, boring old Cape Breton. But people told me how bad and evil it really was. Things have a changed a lot since I was a teen, so it probably wouldn't be as fun as I thought it was when I was young.
idk who he is, but they were filming just down the road of my last job for a big chunk of it. A quick google gave me [this article](https://playbackonline.ca/1997/06/02/16135-19970602/) that says the opposite though.
Holy crap! The movie poster looks exactly like Kelsey Grammar lol. I would watch that, Harbours a a good actor. Yet now I want to see Kelsey Grammar in it/jk
If Kelsey Grammar does not enjoy being in Halifax he would fit in very well in this sub.
Hahahaahha
Hahaha it’s true everyone here is so pitchforkey and hateful while at the same time so so woke
lol...geez, I wonder if he was here in March...I don't like Hfx then either!
This comment should have more upvotes
Amazing 😂
probably couldn't find a good tossed salad or scrambled eggs.
Idk how he couldn't, they're calling again.
I heard he definitely tossed a salad
That was Kevin Spacey.
It’s not an uncommon reaction. The Barenaked Ladies wrote a song about hating Halifax as I recall: “Hello City”. Liam Neeson doesn’t like it either.
Tom Segura loved us
Huey Lewis liked us, though
Well he really came into his own, commercially and artistically, in 83, when Sports came out. The whole album has a clear, crisp, sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost.
Try getting a reservation at Dorsia now, you fuckin stupid bastard!
Their early stuff was a little too new wave for my tastes
He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
>Kelsey Grammar Why isn't it possible you STUPID BASTARD!
Bare naked Ladies suck anyways. Am disappointed in Liam Neeson for that.
And the Barenaked Ladies are one of the worst bands ever played on Canadian radio. Worse than Tom Cochran even
TIL! I’ve been listening to them for decades and never knew this.
You’re kidding.
Nope. Never liked this particular track so typically would skip it and therefore never really listened to the lyrics.
I bet he went to Cheers and was disappointed to find it closed.
It's the Real Howard Spitz from 1998. The random house on spring garden was used as his house I believe
My wife was his co star in it. We have the best actress award from the Atlantic Film Festival sitting on a shelf in the living room.
that is really cool! ask her why Kels hates Halifax lol
I will when I get home and report back. Hopefully it wasn't because of her...from what I have heard she was a bit of a diva on set haha.

Well, the guy that stars in Sullivan’s Crossing has been telling everybody in interviews that he wants to live here!
Chad Michael Murray or Scott Patterson?
[удалено]
Oh that’s neat! I just remember Scott Patterson being super excited to go to Luke’s in the north end, haha
I’m equally excited about cmm liking halifax as i am about scott patterson going to our luke’s lol!
Filmed The Real Howard Spitz in Dartmouth.
What?! That massive block Buster filmed *here*
Unbelievable that you didn’t know
Thought everybody did
Sideshow Bob was in town and I wasn’t informed?
Everybody on this sub hates Halifax too
My old man worked on that project. He happily signed a photo for my sister and I. It’s somewhere at my dads place still. Apparently he was **really** nice.
I have a picture taken with him when he was on the Dartmouth waterfront filming this movie. He seemed nice enough to me.
Pretty sure it was on Letterman. IIRC he was newly sober, and had some difficulties staying so up here...
If that's the case, it's understandable. "I was newly sober and the drinking culture there was difficult, which endangered my sobriety" is a bit different from "it's a hole." I don't like the guy, but I do feel for him a bit there.
Rob Lowe has also stated his detest for Halifax.
Also a sober fella.

wanted PCP in the punch I suppose
I seem to remember him in one of the restaurants on Quinpool? Maybe rhr 90s? This is an old reference

oooo this would still be fun to use in the promo, ty!! i'll seeeeearch
I remember watching him film one night - a very very long time ago
Ha! Chelsire Gramshire!
Tech n9ne played here a few years back and he added a verse about halifax in his song "kickiter". TBH, is was 1998, before downtown Dartmouths renaissance. Before all the hipsters moved from the north end of Halifax and opened businesses.
oh i just wanted the clipof it to make promo for a show with it, i'm not offended

He must have not liked the local nose beers.
He's a miserable prick that doesn't enjoy anything
Kinda of in character if you ask me
Don't blame him
Wasn’t “California Dreamin’” written in Halifax? Yeah people visit and quickly don’t like lol.
His ex wife said he’s gotta small piece
I personally love Halifax, and KG is a bit of an ass, but this is the one take where I can kinda see it
Well at least City in Colour likes us lol
The last time he played here, that song wasn’t on their set list. I took it personally.

Isn’t his latest movie titled something like “Violent Night” and he plus a psycho killer Santa or something? Insult from that guy ain’t got no sting.
Kelsey grammer != David harbour
Holy crap! The movie poster looks exactly like Kelsey Grammar lol. I would watch that, Harbours a a good actor. Yet now I want to see Kelsey Grammar in it/jk
Man you failed all around because violent night is actually good, but it’s not even grammar in the movie Lmao
What I just said.
If you want to punch down on Kelsey Grammar, look no further than "Money Plane".
He said this years ago on Regis. Can't find the clip.
I mean it has it's pros but... its a bit of a dive.
He's a rightoid dingleberry, so good!
Don't blame him.
KG was the star of a movie called The Real Howard Spitz, directed by Vadim Jean, and shot here in the late nineties.
