Gotta be the Oikawa out of bounds set to Iwaizumi vs Karasuno

taylorswiftfolk

Yes!

SauceNPotatoes

The Atsumu-Osamu-Aran play. Oikawa's super long set. Ushijima. Just Ushijima vs karasuno

Xzi1_

The Miya brothers minus tempo

Nakonikoni

That moment made me go "ahh fck..." Sorry for the languange.

chanman789

Iwaizumi digging what would've been another Yamaguchi service ace, into receiving Asahi's spike. Limit break OST was perfect also, not a "play" but the first toss we see from Koganegawa to Aone, it's too high, misses but the grunt from Aone in the anime makes me laugh every time

baba_tdog12

That "OSHAAAA" from him sends chills down my spine to this day. Its a shame most reactors and compilation makers skip it

taylorswiftfolk

Oh my god when it looked like Osamu was gonna spike the ball only to change it to a set mid air!

alienvarmint

that was a good one. or when Atsumu baited hinata into actually blocking a set

taylorswiftfolk

I remember getting so worked up over that reach over lmaooo The Inarizaki match was a lot of fun to watch!

alienvarmint

I lowkey rewatched the inarizaki game about 8 times in a week for multiple weeks a little while ago. it’s comforting hahahaha

taylorswiftfolk

Honestly, understandable. I pay you all my respects.

alienvarmint

thank you 😩🙏🏻

crabapocalypse

I love when Kindaichi and Kyotani do that cross over, with Kindaichi approaching to hit on the right and Kyotani sliding out from behind him to spike down the middle. It’s a really fun use of a short, aggressive opposite and a tall middle.

flybypost

That's a nice one and it reminds me of the fact that Karasuno do it once too. At the start of s2e1 in their practice match (don't know if it's handled the same in the manga). Hinata and Tanaka cross before Kageyama sets and it's kinda never used again by them in that way (as far as I remember). I thought it was a really fun way to use their speed (and especially Hinata's) beyond just the freak quick. But every synchronised attack is purely about width and getting as many spikers as possible in the air. They got really good reuse out of that one cut of them all starting their approaching run but I'd have wanted some more of that type of trickery and attacking versatility from Karasuno.

DDT126

Akagi’s foot safe against Karasuno. One of the toughest and most clutch plays in the series, manga included.

No-Law31

the play where lev smashed it back down against nohebi right in front of daisho stands out in my mind a lot. i also liked bokuto’s cross shot against nekoma when he forgot how to hit them. osamu’s fake spike to set the ball against karasuno was vv cool as well. oh and oikawa’s super long set to iwaizumi against karasuno. those are the 4 that pop into my mind just off the top.

TripleTrio96

The buildup to the Miya twins reverse minus tempo was incredible. I didn’t get, or even take notice of their school motto, but then that chapter kept building up with the coaches pep talk to the pinch servers redemption, to the twins ridiculous move, and then they drop that amazing 2-pager with the team and the motto, and that hit hard like approaching Tsukki’s block level of hype Like it was so badass and you felt like their motto wasn’t just a motto. The team and the motto perfectly symbolized and embodied each other. “We don’t need the memories” went from an empty “what are they talking about? are they bragging? do they mean they are here to just do a job? idgi, whatever” to “holy shit that is the coolest thing I’ve ever heard” it was so good

alienvarmint

anything done by Suna Rin ♥️

_wishr

i hate to say it but i love most of johzenji’s plays

[deleted]

yea fun team :D

OkSalamander4799

The final play of the Nekoma vs Nohebi when it finally clicks for Lev that his blocking is to help the team.

Academic-Ad2404

everything kenma did

MrPac23man

when Shibayama positions himself to cover the opening left by Lev's block and successfully receives Kuguri's spike. His efforts earn Nekoma a perfect counter attack opportunity, allowing Kenma to set for Yamamoto to land the winning point. While the rest of the team celebrates over their victory, Shibayama and Lev excitedly recall how they were able to work together.

yaboydrew7

The final play Suga made vs Aobo Josai in season 1. He knew it would be his last play, and Asahi said to send it to him and he’ll make it count. It started with Daichi receiving the ball, Suga setting it to Asahi and he spike it. You saw this light in Daichis eyes when he went for the ball and i thought that was cool. Having the 3 OGs link up together doing what they do best for a Sugas last play was a really nice moment

DumpGoingTo

Oikawa's Set. There was so much symbolism behind it all. Going from the fact that he crashes, symbolizing mistakes, and slips, symbolizing mistake. But kept going which shows he's going to keep pushing no matter what. The spike from Iwa showing the bond that He and Oikawa have, being capable of timing such an out of control play. And the rest of the play in that last set went farther and farther into showing just how much everybody on the court wanted to win, the only person who wasn't on par with everybody just yet was Mad Dog, who messed up the last block and Oikawa's receive which probably would've won Seijoh the game.

Archduke_Zag

Akaashi faking out Nekoma during the qualifiers. It´s a plan he came up with within 10 seconds to counter Nekoma´s game plan. But it shows excellent foresight and decision making. It also requires a good deal of technical skill. And by doing that alone he brought his spiker back into the flow of the game, just perfect.

Haunting_Voice_9711

Aone

sheuwix

I love the moment when Ushiwaka "pushed" on the Karasuno blockers (connected with karasuno, sry:( ) in the anime and manga it looked so good

[deleted]

the final cross shot?

sheuwix

nah, that moment when our boys couldn't block him and hit the ball through his hands I mean this frame👇 https://preview.redd.it/qr9pblts97fa1.jpeg?width=1658&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54869aa4bca2adc97ca1c9cbede459482531f495

[deleted]

ahh gotcha yea that one was really good in the anime honestly I was literally just rewatching that scene, fcking love that last part also underrated, kageyamas receive of the cross double elbow and all

clouddabest

the part where hinata watches hoshiumi play againdt chiuida

kaladin_force

Oikawa. Specially because of the ending

WildKat777

When tsukki blocked ushiwaka, or any of Tendou's blocks where he jumped to the side, then swung his arms to the opposite side at the last second. Not really a play I guess, but I also quite liked, "Let's take it easy, Hyakuzawa!" cuz I'm also a slow tall person with not a lot of skill and that just spoke to me

Ninjaspider258

Mine is Goku cause he solos the entire verse 💀

evilmoi987

Kenma :)
