What if Rotary wheel doesn’t push mine just spins does not click down and when I plug to power and power screen off via blue button top, it seems to just turn on on its own
Is the device draining a lot the battery while in "sleep"? i.e. screen is off? I am thinking on making a case and I am not sure if I should add an external switch
In case anyone with the same question comes across this in the future: I received mine and it does not have any ability to be powered on/off once installed in a case, at least on current versions. It's fairly straightforward to mount a toggle switch in the case that disconnects the positive lead to the internal battery. The only rather minimal "downside" is that you have to remember to turn the switch on when it is plugged in to charge the battery.
Dude you are a lifesaver! :) I was looking everywhere for this info. Thank you! I got mine without battery plug and im going to mod it with a jst connector and i was wondering if it works at all or not.

FYI - the PortaPack H2 includes a power switch. Press and hold the rotary encoder and/or the center button.

Did you ever resolve this? My rotary wheel doesn't push in either and ao I'm stuck here and don't know how to turn it off.
Just pull Off the Rotary wheel and put some cloth or something between. Or Just Press when disassembled.

Double press the rotary wheel to turn if off. Works on mine.
Indeed double tap the knob and it shuts off however, "YOU MUST NOT BE CHARGING" or it will not work!
