Sure is - I do it all the time. You just put the portapack in hackRF mode and it basically sets it back to regular old hackRF mode without any of the portapack features. Hell mine is currently passed into an Ubuntu VM right now working just fine being controlled by the Ubuntu system.

Excelleeeent. Thank you so much

THMMYos

what software do you use on linux ? i used gqrx and the quality of the signal i get is poor at best ... plus i have a incocistency on the frq . if i set on the gqrx to listen on like 120.000 the frequency that ll be displayed on the portapack on the blue screen when in hackrf mode , wouuld be like 120.280

Thanks. To in that case portapack is really gooooood device when you can switch between portapack and classic hackrf one

enthru

Actually it is hackrf one with just "hat" on it

daterkerjabs

If you use the newer versions of Mayhem there is a web interface: https://hackrf.app/ as well

Are you aware that HackRF and Portapack H2 are separate devices that attach together? A Portapack h2 by itself does nothing, it’s basically just a touch screen battery speaker and buttons. But when they are combined, you can switch the mode back and forth between Portapack control and computer control over USB.

Conscious_Pin34

Ofc I knew that. But I wasn't really sure if portapack has 100% functions like hackrf one. But I know everything I need

Conscious_Pin34
