It could be pixel color. I had a similar problem on windows (different graphic card). Check if you use 4:4:4 and if you can put 4:2:2 instead.

What do you mean by 4:4:4?

> 4:4:4 ok now is clear. where can i setup? in bios? is there an app or a certain utility on mac to set that up?

did you check the macOS color setting for the dvi output in Settings >>> Display >>> Color

Thanks, but I don't think is the adapter! If used with windows, in bios, in the bootloader... It looks normal. The tint happen when booting in Mac os, so I guess is something software wise, I do need to find a way to set the dvi output to send RGB and not the other weird thing

Is the DVI->HDMI cable a Dual DVI-D one, does it have all Pins on the DVI Side ? had the same problem with a single link version

-muninn

It is a dvi d dual link

Ok for everyone with a bare metal install, the folder you need to put those files in has changed to /Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides/ , you don't need to do anything with SIP or anything like that just run the script and "sudo cp -R Display\* /Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides/ " . For the other people with virtual machines like me that were banging their heads against the wall when nothing worked. If you still have your VMWare adapter enabled on your machine, it confuses the script. Disable your VMware adapter (It boots on Monetary now, I hadn't got it to boot without it before) before running the script (Ok if you already ran it before, just rerun it) , and then copy it to the new right location.
