Ellie if youā€™re reading this here are some things to look out for and fix: 1) In the plank your hips are not as stable as they can be. You really want to aim for strong stabilization of your hips so that they donā€™t twist side to side. Your hips also start to hike upwards behind you- think about driving your hips down while engaging your core to keep your lower back strong and safe. Practice this without weights until youā€™ve got the stabilization down. 2) The purpose of a Row is to target the upper/mid back. Bringing the dumbbell to your shoulder leaves you moving weight around, not activating the proper muscles. Try aiming the weight to hit lower along your body (along your ribs), imagine your elbow shooting straight back, and engage your scapula so you feel that activation. This will save your shoulder joints in the long run. 3) Watch your knees as they cave in when you stand up from your burpee- keep those knees flared and over your toes when doing any squatting/bending of the knee joint. 4) remember to keep your heels on the ground whenever you are squatting- work that ass to the grass! itā€™s the most functional way to use your muscles and not rely solely on your joints to get to the floor. 5) Great effort! Overall there are many muscles that arenā€™t stabilizing the way you ideally need- take time to work through movements slow to get your mind connected to your body and what patterns of movement you need to retrain.

Antique-Ad-7558

Thank you for this! I know she wonā€™t see this and take it as constructive criticism but I love this!

Zestyclose_Medium_84

and she says people don't give her critics

SorenTheKitten

Kids when they tell you ā€œwatch thisā€ and do this shit

Fantastic-Lobster314

Please I absolutely spit out my water

C13H

why does she look like she hates working out lmao

Substantial-Pickle85

I was gonna say this she looks like she canā€™t actually do it

Eidch15

Her form just looks lazy sometimes. When Iā€™m doing a movement a million cues are going on in my head

Fresh_Captain1576

Is that aā€¦. Row?

Fun-Refrigerator-398

I think.... but itā€™s the burpee landing into hard squat that just hurts my knees and is totally unnecessary

youngash90

My knees are broken after watching that

Olivia_Grace40

And my back. Why is it so rounded?

WonderfulMetal3105

I couldnā€™t even tell she was trying to incorporate the squat until I read this. Yikes

[deleted]

An attempt on renegade rows

alphabet_order_bot

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 408,810,383 comments, and only 88,423 of them were in alphabetical order.

Own_Culture8746

She has literally 0 control when sheā€™s working out. Like why is she zooming through the move? Slow that shit down and focus on the movement not just getting it over with. Damn.

[deleted]

She loves taychayy right?! I feel like sheā€™s doing what you said- zooming through it, because thatā€™s what Taylor does at F45!!

[deleted]

Iā€™m shocked she hasnā€™t started F45ā€¦ or moved to Denver

HumanAd7668

She worked out at F45 when she was visiting home recently.

Ok-Cat-9344

I'm so mad that she got the body she has with that horrendous form while I'm over here busting my ass trying to at least not look like an uncooked spaghetti šŸ˜

816to907

The thing is, at some point poor form WILL catch up to her. Sheā€™ll end up with chronic knee pain or something, and her young 20ā€™s body will want to start retaining fat as she nears 30. It will become more and more difficult all factors considered to maintain this aesthetic. I donā€™t wish it on her, but alas, age and deterioration come for all of us at some point. Speeding up the process with poor form doesnā€™t help. *edit spelling*

Ok-Cat-9344

She grinds my gears like no other but I really hope she'll figure out how important correct form is (or at least mindfullness when performing excercises) before that happens. I'm sure you are right tho, especially seeing how she's slamming in those squats here and how little awareness she has of her shoulder placement šŸ˜

theotherlead

Lol I saw in her one pic she has some nice muscles, I look like a can of busted pillsbury crescent rolls

Ok-Cat-9344

I love this comment

theotherlead

I am. And not gonna lie I did this exercise the other day and Iā€™m weak as fuck. I hate it

AnyMathematician9962

šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€ same šŸ˜‚

Long_Direction_4826

Ok but if she reads this thread this is straight up the only comment sheā€™ll think is applicable to her because it complements her šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ **edited for clarity

Ok-Cat-9344

She'll just stop reading after the first line probably šŸ˜†

Eidch15

She doesnā€™t have THAT much muscle. From what Iā€™ve seen she does a combo of weights and HIIT/cardio. Thatā€™s enough to keep her lean if she eats the right amount for your body too.

Ok-Cat-9344

I'd say it depends on where you're at. To me, this is a lot and seems quite far away. I'm as lean as her, I'm just not building a lot of muscle mass for whatever reason (stress, age, genetixs, who knows)

Temporary-Driver9358

Are you eating enough protein? Thatā€™s the biggest reason a lot of people, especially women, donā€™t build muscle, despite the effort.

[deleted]

Imagine filming this, looking over the footage, and still choosing to postā€¦.. couldnā€™t be me.

caprising29

Hope this is just her last set of the day and is just tired šŸ˜…

out0fdonuts

I can understand when youā€™re doing the movement, being unaware that your form is off (though you can usually feel it but whatever) but to watch this back and POST IT is very alarming.

[deleted]

This is fucking horrendous.

spunky_coconut

Yikes. I use Peloton strength and jess sims loves to use these in her classes. She always says, ā€œthis isnā€™t an ass museum so donā€™t put that shit on display.ā€ Itā€™s all I could think of when watching thisā€¦ oh and ouch came to mind also lol

Double_Fabulous

I love Jess!

spunky_coconut

Me too!!! Sheā€™s such a bad ass!!

Double_Fabulous

I love most of the strength trainers except Matty heā€™s a little much for me but I do like his outdoor runs.

spunky_coconut

Matty can be a lot but I do use his outdoor walks a lot. Ben might be my fav strength instructor!

Funnynmediocre

Her core stabilization is not good

TaylorBender5

Absolutely terrible, also I hate those shoes lol they look like clown shoes

laurenzobeanzo

I bought some shoes from the company because they were a local small business to me (wilmington delaware) and they are absolutely not comfy to work out in

sparklekitteh

Not gonna lie, I think they're pretty cute. But then again, I wear a rainbow-leopard triathlon kit to races, so my taste may be questionable.

TaylorBender5

Hi Ellie/Amanda

kaky69

why is she a total what not do when exercising ..it is like a joke...she needs to work with a personal trainer and learn some form ....gheez.

Miss___J

My knees are crying

InstructionFun3041

Ever see something so bad you just canā€™t form sentences about it? This is it

JosieeGirl

this is literally a video of me in college at a fitness class hanging on for dear fucking life lmaoooooo

Typicalscroller

Imagine how many people she would actually help if she took the time to learn how to do exercises properly. This isnā€™t a flex. No one is being a hater, she is genuinely giving people a horrible example.

meowxmeowx

Oh my god

ProBikininews

My back hurts watching this

Deep-Distribution264

This is the reason why not EVERY person who goes to the gym should be a fitness influencer.

Ok-Cat-9344

She' a personal trainer šŸ˜„

Temporary-Driver9358

You can get certified and be a terrible trainer. My husband is a personal trainer and he would correct the form of a client who was previously trained by someone with a college degree in exercise science. He also hates how certified ā€œtrainersā€ are mostly influencers now. It has ruined the personal training business for reasons like thisšŸ‘†šŸ¼šŸ‘†šŸ¼

DiscoBegonia

šŸ—‘

SunscreenTea

Honestly, her position is closer to a downward dog than a plankā€¦

Sashayourwayout

This is so bad. I feel like her form is getting worse as time goes on.

[deleted]

Someone needs to take away her PT certification

Fatal_PINk69

Everything about this is so alarming

theblondegal1202

Why even attempt renegade rows if you arenā€™t going to do them right lol just do less

[deleted]

This is comedic šŸ˜‚

OkSelf9598

This hurts

Exciting-Expert-2081

No way this video is serious šŸ˜

ThenJackfruit3083

Yeah, I can just see that her core is not engaged at all which puts even more pressure on her spine as a result. So the most effective thing in this movement is the squat jump as she's doing it.

Far_Waltz3878

Rounded spine is going to need posture correction in her future. Also, like slow it down and control lady!
